I gave up 3 event tournaments for kneeboarding tournaments in the mid 80's here in Louisiana. There was a fun group of guys from Florida (Kent McMillan, Mario Fosa), groups from Missouri and TX, and Toni Klarich from Cali. Good times. New tricks at every event so we all took turns setting new high score records.
Is that the place in Orlando right off the freeway? I'm in CA and I've driven by that place like 3 times, always wanted to go, but never was right time/right place. I like kneeboarding more than wakeboarding, that would be fun. At 59, I'm a bit old for tricks like that, but would probably try - and regret it. The socks are a good idea.

I injured my knees in a kitesurfing crash a few months ago and it still kinda hurts when I bend my knees all the way (especially when i put pressure on them, like when I sit all the way down on my knees) so this looks so painful to me to land on your knees like that😂😬
I ripped my patellar jump skiing along with busted ear drums and ribs. I was still able to kneeboard and at 65 yo, I still have a good back although that knee still swells up and gets sore from playing golf now. Haven't been behind a boat for 23 years but getting the urge to try it again.

@@jboneill I still have one. Mines an older thick model. I cant put my knees underneath me comfortably anymore at my old age. Id love to get back on it though. I think if I properly stretched for a week or two I could get comfortable again. Im assuming my tendons and muscles just aren't used to stretching that far.

Keep at it and you’ll get there. Are you trying to jump wake to wake? Generally shorter ropes will make that goal easier.
