- The defense began its cross-examination of Michael Cohen in the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump. Mr. Trump's lawyers suggested that the former Trump lawyer and self-described fixer is out for revenge against Mr. Trump and is motivated by money. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports.

This case is ALL political. Time for people like you to wake up
So what it's political? All criminal prosecutions are political in nature. The fact is, Cohen went to prison for this, it's only fair that the boss serves time for it too. No one is above the law, everyone in this country should support equal treatment under law, regardless of fear and favor.

The thing I don’t get is if there’s a strong legal argument that someone who lied under oath is convicted of a crime and such shouldn’t be a strong witness why do we use them in other cases as slam dunk evidence. For instance, I live in Metro Detroit, I’ve heard countless stories about someone being arrested and the person flipping, on other silence of a crime. We take their word to be factual here we have someone who said I’m flipping. I’ll tell you everything but somehow we shouldn’t believe them.
Always with supporting evidence. We know they lied because evidence showed us. When they are asked to turn states evidence they join the case as a witness supported with corroborating evidence. Everything Cohen said on the stand was supported with evidence. None of it was his word alone.
