    First and foremost, let’s see if the schools do the right thing and expel the students who benefited from this fraud.

    There is nothing new here this has been going on since the beginning....how do you explain only 2%of students at Yale come from a poor family, Am I to believe that if you come from a rich family you are automatically smart enough to get into Yale...No, it is the politics and money.

    • @theworldisavampire3346
      @theworldisavampire3346 5 років тому +2

      But your forgetting how expensive Yale is also. Of course most students are rich. I am middle class and get ZERO assistance from government for my kids tuition. The poor get a lot of grants. My kids get terrible debt. Who complains about that?

    • @Kemetology2020
      @Kemetology2020 5 років тому

      The World Is A Vampire Am pretty sure if your middle class child get accepted to Yale, you will find the money...student loans etc....most students regardless of income want to attend top Universities so I don’t believe the reason is affordability....please extrapolate from this....the rich kid is neighbor the senator (letter of recommendation) or school chancellor, judge, doctor, police chief etc....it not what you know it is who you know there forever....generations of one class of people have an open door to these schools while the average joe think all he need is high SAT scores....

      @GH-oi2jf 5 років тому

      Akan - Not really. The main reason that few Yale students come from poor families is that it is expensive.

    I am from Massachusetts my son is a well-known high school student here in Mass, he was the second student out 530 students in he's graduating class. he had an awesome SAT score, he did not miss one day of school in 8th Straight years, he applied for all these colleges and University an only one offer him a scholarship, out of 6 ivy league colleges only one offered him a scholarship and it wasn't even a full scholarship and he was rejected by a a lot of the colleges that he apply even stinky ass UMass Lowell and the reason why is because he was supported by a single Dad with low income. that time I even told my son, son don't worry the only reason why you're not getting anything is because I make nothing my income is very low. I remember i told him this years ago since 2008 that the only way for him to go to college to get good grades and he'll get a scholarship, well he did his part. I was very disappointed and now I know why is because it is all about money and don't give me the BS that the schools did not know nothing about what's going on at the schools. They do know about what was going on and they pick and choose who they want so . F U and yes I am disappointed I am frustrated and I am mad with myself that I believe in hope there is still a system that helps low-income families and it's just not true. Oh by the way I forgot to mention that he did three years of ROTC.

      And I know for a fact that my son's academic grades and he's accomplishments are more than qualified to any of the top schools in the country and that will qualify him for a full scholarship I just want to apologize but I'm a little worked out about this situation it is just so disappointed

      I am sorry about your son but I am sure he is more of a man then any of the clowns that accepted to Boston U, Harvard etc. The media keeps telling us that if you work hard that you will be a success. I am sure in your son's case this will be true. Probably most of the applicants that got accepted to Harvard or Boston U have some sort of drug problem. In the end I believe that your son will put to shame those schools that rejected him for some drug addict.

      @Seth Ellison it appears Michael's post covers "Tump" with "all of the" and "all teams and players".
      The bottom line is what they do with this extended elite privilege. Do they become successful or do the squander it. Do they us it for betterment or distruction.

      @Seth Ellison Notice I did not single out any group of people, I just stated the facts with our education system. Trump got into school due to being accepted on criteria all of us had to go through to be admitted to a college or university. Did you know that President Trump's IQ is in the top 3% of Americans? If you do not like him you must be a communist liberal, pedophile, democrat, traitor, raciest, are combinations of the above. He is working for all of us to gain the control of our country back.

    Can one of these 50 folks send me a check to pay off my student loan? I graduated and hope that one of these rich Caucasian folks can send me something. I mean I had a good score, but not enough money to get to one of these Ivy Schools.

    How is this supposed to be an interesting conversation, hearing from two people who directly benefit monetarily from the current pseudo-pay-to-play regime at colleges? Couldn't Jim get better guests on, or just a former coach (who seems to be pretty okay with boosters) and someone who is literally part of the problem?

    What I don't understand is, when parents have this kind of money, why can't they hire tutors to help their children study and learn so their test scores go up? In the end, it isn't all about the name of the school but how much you know. A good example are Apple and Microsoft founders Jobs and Gates. They dropped out of college and achieved so much. And if your test scores are so poor, how are you going to do the homework? Parents hiring tutors after the fact? And if you love a school so much, can you still take one class at a time without being accepted just to learn? Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near any of these 'better' schools and am strapped financially.

    I'm anything but surprised, its unfortunate that the parents think there kids are not smart enough to make it into college on there own, and are taking spots from hard working kids looking for a better future that, an "EARNED"education would give them. At the very least these kids should be kicked out or retested and put on a public registry so employers or future employers will know who they are. The Collages should be put to task as well, they already make enough money from tuition !!!
