I love how Crazy Tube Circuits made this. The Hiwatt sound is legendary and u never see anyone trying to capture it in pedal format. So cool
Well. Helix ? An hxstomp can do this no problem. Where this pedal is really good though is the instant access and how you can split it up in a midi loop switch. One of my favourite pedals from 2023… the boost side is fabulous.
Catalinbread has done it at least twice. RAH and hyperpak pedals.

It’s seems to have been a great year for Crazy Tube Circuits. They are just killing it. I recently was introduced to the Crossfire and love it.

Wow that's cool. Sounded amazing at the end
Baxandall EQ is way more usable than the typical Fender/Vox/Marshall EQ stacks. However, since the range can be +/-12db per frequency band it means the EQ also affects the gain a lot. On my Hiwatt DR-203 the Mid-control was where I dialed in the gain and sustain. On an Ampeg it’s similar but very different 😅

Stupendous pedal and this was a really good, down to earth review. Currently my number 3 pedal of 2023 . First one I’ve got from Crazy Tube Circuits and undoubtedly there will be more in 2024.

Hi. Great demo as usual. Wanted to ask what to do with a delay pedal and the hi power. Would you put the delay in the Hi power's loop or after the Hi power? Thanks.
Depends on how you’re using it. If it would be a preamp I’d personally place it in the loop. As an overdrive pedal I’d put the delay after. But there are no rules. Whatever sounds good is good
I prefer delay after the Hi Power, but I'm using it as an overdrive.
Hey, I have to ask, how much noise were you getting out of this thing when you cranked it all? Mine is basically unusable at anything over 12 o'clock if I engage both sides. If I max it all out it' just noise, not even the notes decay properly. this is the only pedal in my chain where I have this serious noise issue! (I tried maxing out my 2 AMT preamp peals and a DLS mk 3 and the noise, while there is nowhere near this). Power supply is isolated and all that stuff
I don’t recall it being problematically noisy. But I was playing it through in ears. That’s cleaner than blasting it through the amp speaker. But the difference shouldn’t be that big. What amp are you using?

Why not use a strat ,its an gilmour sound pedal and a strat is a must always + dang a pink sg?even If i see a review of a pedal with like a pibk strat i wont watch it ..disturbs my eyes to see guitars in these colours ..i can get it if like a 2omen have a guitar like that but a guy who spends loadsfor a super expensive custom in pink😅 idk
