I've never had dance lessons, except for a semester of ballroom and country line dancing in college. Our little girl, though, has toes that are naturally strong enough to go en pointe, despite never having the money to get ballet lessons for her. I think we, both of us, will enjoy learning the basics from this video! Thanks so much! You explain things in a way that someone with no dance experience would understand!
It has been 12 or so years since I've really danced and tap and jazz was my arena. Thank you for this video! I have missed dance so much and have wanted to find a door back. This was a great refresher course.
this is BY FAR the best video i have found for beginners. the way you explain things is extremely helpful and easy to understand. love this video! i learned a lot.

I love your energy lol, I'm starting a jazz class today at school and I was worried I 'd be behind the rest of the class so this really helped me! Thank youuuuu!!!
I am teaching some of my friends jazz dance but they just like crunching in their battements. I keep telling them height does not matter for now but they do not listen.
Hello! I totally agree with you. Height will come with time but the perfect leg line has to be developed first. I tell my students that learning the proper technique does not require height or being super flexible. Thanks for watching and keep telling your friends to keep that leg straight even if it's not high enough 😁
WHAT? I have no clue what you are saying. You're talking about a whole lot of stuff with no rhyme or reason. Why should I care about your toe? Tell me where I'm supposed to put mine and let's get on with it. If you're going spout out terms, then SPELL THEM OUT FOR US. Finally, if this is the "Absolute Beginners" class then why are you saying "Welcome BACK."?
