Pheasant hunting from a blind, with a recurve bow - Small game bowhunting - Tales From the Willows

Once again we are hunting for pheasant "turkey style" from a blind. Hope you enjoy!
I have moved the blind inside the tree line to get opportunities to hunt the hens.
Equipment used in this video is Big Rock Archery ILF riser, with Morrison Max 4 limbs. Poundage is 46@28. The arrows is GT Ultra light spine 400, with 100 grain brass insert and a 200 grain VPA 3 bladed broadhead, and Trad Vanes. Arrow weight is 570 grain.

That’s cool pretty rare to hunt them from a blind. In the us we only can shoot roosters

I have never seen anyone hunt pheasants by calling them. In the states everyone uses dogs and shotguns. What kind of call is that?

We are also using dogs and shotguns here. We shoot 700-800.000 birds a year with dogs and shotguns. I Only do this because I’m a bowhunter and we dont have turkeys. The call is pheasant call, similar to the Primos pheasant call
