Such a fun weekend. That commuter shot at 2:15 is an instant classic. Cool that you ran into Bob Matter too - he’s the man for Chicago street photography.
Landscape photographer online taught me the secret to Ektachrome. Tiffen 812 warming filter, and 1/3 a stop of over exposure. It's never failed to get me beautiful rolls of slide film and 4x5 sheets, highly recommended!
This is gold man thank you!!
@@KingJvpes for sure! That filter also has 1/3 of density to account for, so I do 80 iso metering through the lens, of 64 iso with a handheld meter. You won't be disappointed!!
That's my friend, Bob Matter! We go out in Chicago from time to time.
Love the way you captured my city!! Nice one 😎
Brilliant. Loved the jazzy soundtrack too. Nice touch.
Come back.
Great video. Chicago seems like a great city for street photography.
love this!!
Awesome video. in the second half of the video, you could feel you getting in the groove as they shot keep getting better and better. The title says Portra 400, but you loaded Ektachrome. Which one is it?
So many familiar sights. I miss Chicago sometimes.
Ektachrome looks real nice!
Love the channel. Love your work.
Was looking for some advice for a 35mm range finder w changeable lens.
Love the idea of the Canon QL17 G3 and the Olympus 35 SP… yet was hoping for some ideas for cameras w changeable lenses (I know of the Canon P and 7 series… was loving for ones with some form of aperture priority if I don’t want to go full manual).
Thanks so much. Keep up the great work/content!!!!
4:23 hey Kabayan! I love how the photo turned out! I love the film color!!
What do you do with all these photos? Is there like a hard drive you keep everything on? Just curious cause I just never know what to do after
How do you put the GoPro on your camera?? I’ve wanted to do that for travel and I never knew how
I just learned about your channel and completely missed this event. Come up to the Chi, next time I'll be out mad shootin.
Can I ask do you use light meter in the camera ? I am thinking about using without it. 😅
What square lens hood is that for the Voiglander? Been looking one for my 35mm Nokton.
I fw thiss
Are you pushing your color film?

I noticed some of the pictures in this video have a slight moire pattern in the darker parts (e.g. the sailor at 5:05, and the two people at 6:51). I noticed the same a while back in another video from a different creator (don't remember who). Any idea where this pattern comes from? I would guess/hope it is only in the video and not in the scans?
Probably film pressing against the backplate hard enough to leave an impression.
Caught that Urus at 7:33 😂 ❤
What an inspiring video to watch! Seriously great stuff, I love how these images turned out on Ektachrome! With my broken rib it's gonna be a little bit of a pain but I'll grab my Nikon F-301 to finish that one roll that's been inside of it for ages! I might even mount my 28mm 3.5 Nikkor after watching this video!
Just seeing the claustrophobic tightness of Chicago put such a tight ball of pain in my chest. Good job of showing how the windy city is.
How do you film whilst shooting if i may ask?
Go pro 7 in the hotshoe
4:34 Needed to use the reflections on the tables.
@6:15 you say that Chicago and San Francisco are photographically different. Please describe the similarities and differences.
what happened to the audio?
thats my homegirl at the 9:30 mark lol
a lot of people complaining about the music . . . I don’t see the problem
Bullet proof vest, Kevlar camera and some good running shoes for dodging bullets and you are off to have fun 😂
Ignorant
I keep wanting to be convinced that a Leica M6 is worth selling your first born for....but after seeing this video, I'm definitely convinced it's not worth it. Most of the shots were out of focus and really soft.
this background music ain't it fam lol 😅 fire vid tho💫
street photography like this is so repetitive, i feel like its all the same over and over coming from all photographers. its just getting old.
Don't hang out with those yuppies. Observe and make a project with real depth.
You're talking about a youtube photographer, there is no real depth.
I agree with Adrian. They shoot primarily for content
