Public Service Announcement about Skullgrins fan mode (Perspective please pin this) if you open the chest flap about 45 degrees you can wedge it between the tabs on the tread sections, and this causes the whole mode to hold together FAR better. You can also fold the toes down without too much effect to the transformation.
Skullgrin's fan-mode looks like the skull tank from Voltron my aunt got me many Christmases ago. Also, the old Pretender shell had what I thought were wrinkles under his shirt collar but it was in fact a lower jaw. The idea was scrapped leaving the area unpainted.
One of my biggest problems with starscream besides the gc is the lack of paint on his shoulder cannons, so I took the time to add some cartoon accurate and some toy accurate detail. Even added the red stripe to his wing sword
@@papersamurai00 Thew generally doesn't need much to work with in order for him to begin spewing poetry about it, though. He even makes videos about those Europe/Australasia exclusives from the G1.5 years. He will definitely also say "I know this grumpy dude" though.
@@papersamurai00 I've seen Thew make decent length videos about characters/figures who have little to no Transformers media presence, so I kinda doubt that being the reason.
You might be right with the Starscream hip theory, because on the leg that kept falling off, I flipped the hip joint around to the other side and now it's perfectly fine.
The only thing that sucks about Crankcase is how short his shoulder cannons are, and how they do not pop out in alt mode (a side effect of being a Skids remold). But I am in love with this figure, and it really is on of my favorite TF figures. I love how the front car grill turns into an assault rifle looking blaster, how well he poses, how his large build makes him look like he’s wearing a ton of armor, and he has some weight to him as well. One of my favorite car Decepticons.
The QC isn't great on him. If you notice in the video he's missing a tire in altmode, because that just doesn't lock in place, and it flipped in without me noticing.
The top 3 I agree with perfectly, even starscream, while has problems, I have so much fun posing him and he looks so cool that I can easy overlook the QC
Wave 3 QC boogaloo, I have the original Thundercracker and got so excited for this legacy version only to spend an hour trying to fix the loose tabs/joints and the same with dead end with less time involved, But megatron and inferno are worth the wait from kingdom to legacy both are great
I still like the Pointblank (nice and big for a Deluxe). Haven't modified the arms because 1: I've no desire to, no matter how flawed the transformation is, I still enjoy going through it, and 2: I don't know how to anyway.
Get this yesterday I found breakdown but I still haven’t seen deadend in stores and last I checked he’s $45 days on Amazon and I said I’ll just wait until that is quiet literally my last option. Great video btw
hey perspective, not sure if you're into model kits at all but i just finished building the yolopark optimus prime and I'm completely speechless. the level of detail is insane and has now become my magnum opus. if you are interested in taking the time to built it (about 3 or so days) i would highly highly reccomend. great video as always!
Does yolopark fall apart like a gundam? I owned MGs, and I swear, every single one of them wants to explode into a thousand pieces, especially Unicorn.
@@mechgouki7999 nope it’s probably the most sturdy kit I own tbh. And yeah I only buy HGs because of that reason 😂 definitely the most time I’ve spent on a kit though and there are some very finicky parts, but ones it’s all put together I guarantee you’ll have no regrets
@@markotsiavlis3539 I've had more HGs drop off their parts. Not as bad as the MGs though. My Schawlbe dropped the horn, because it was attached to the head with the thinnest kind of hope. My sandrock dropped the chest plate. These issues made me want to never touch a model kit.
Finally found the Voyagers; really enjoying Starscream for his relative simplicity in transformation, but digging the heck out of Inferno in general. I haven't noticed significant QC issues [with Starscream], knock on wood [save for the balljoint in the neck insisting on locking just off-center], hopefully because it's such a late run of the toy.
I think my copy of Starscream I got for Christmas is one of the lucky few copies where neither of the legs pop off, and all together the only floppy parts on the entire thing are the pegs connecting the legs to the groin
I ended up getting a Starscream. While my QC Roulette was probably better than most, it’s still loose in some really weird places…mainly the shoulders if you push them into the correct positions for Robot Mode, and the hips but only if you rock the figure forward and back. It’s *WEIRD* Otherwise, the accessories are too damned small, but luckily a dude on Etsy sells replacements for both at very low rates that are basically perfect…outside the grainy lines that come with the territory of 3D Print. EDIT: I think I solved the "Hip Popping off" problem. and the solution is fucking stupid. My copy had a good left hip and a bad right hip, so I got curious and started rotating slowly. there was a bit of resistance after a point, which is where the hip started getting pushed away from the mushroom peg. Turns out, the Mushroom Peg has really bad mold release lines on the front and back and a prominent nub on the bottom. cut the nub off with a hobby knife and shave the mold lines down with some fine sanding paper and give the hip a full rotation again, if you don't feel that resistance, congrats, your hips are fixed. On the opposite side of things, Speedia Override made me understand what you mean by “Hand Candy”. It’s so hard to describe eloquently, but the plastic feels really good in the hands, all of the joints are just that perfect amount of tightness, and I can’t stop transforming it. She just needed more Gold paint and she’d be perfect. As is, she comes off as a little plain in comparison to her on-screen model who is covered in gaudy gold trim.
So there's like a Bigger Sword on Etsy? That's about what I figured the problem was, which is why it's so prevalent. The mold isn't set up right. I'm glad to hear she taught you what I mean when I say that, even if I didn't think she really had that quality honestly.
@@PerspectiveEnd There are three Star Saber Swords I've seen floating around. one on Etsy, two on Ebay. Also yeah, the mushroom peg thing was a super easy fix, but it's not a fix that should be necessary in the first place. The Etsy model, by "lockbot3DP" is screen-accurate and even comes with two blades, one comprised of the jets and the other being the "energy blade" that the animators used to avoid drawing such a complicated blade....but it's also 3D Print, so you get the lines and graininess you'd expect. He also does a Wing Sword in 3 styles to replace the one present on Legacy Starscream One of the Ebay models, by "BDT Studio", is made of sturdier plastic and is bigger, but the handle is black and they stretched the ships to comical proportions to make a longer blade. arguably too long. The other Ebay model, labeled "YYW-36", appears to be the Energon Saber in Blue, but it's basically the perfect size for Hotshot and Starscream while only being slightly stylized.
Yeah Same I have a bad right hip on my Starscream, which sucks because I was looking forward to this figure so bad .....they should have never designed him with open pegs they should have closed off the entire thigh/hip connection completely
Definitely gotta get me the Top 2, unfortunately all the stores near me decided that Wave 2 and 3 didn’t exist. Also I gotta agree with you on Cryotek, when you made the original post I forgot that he was from Beast Wars and not RID 2001.
Got a large order coming today hopefully. I will update you when they arrive next video but I estimated about 20+ figures in total. All deluxe-leader scale. Only 3 have arrived so far out of this group being Inferno from Legacy, SS ROTB Arcee and Battletrap. Cannot wait for the next packages, including an SS Devastator I got for $260 Aud. Half price.
Had Skullgrin for a while now, this video made me realize there's too much rubber plastic on the top of his hipguards when you started posing him. So now I sheared off the rubber with a small knife (while also actively praying to god that I don't chop off my fucking fingers) and it poses FAR better than before. Thank you Perspective, you made me modify one small flaw i had that actively made the figure better for me even if it is subpar at best in my opinion.
skull grin's altmode reminds me of a (wears glasses) short and stocky version of the "The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System" with a skull in the front
Oi, PP! Thanks for that funny fanmode of Skullgrin - now I have an altmode for my version of Dauros, cuz you sure saved me time on imagining one based on G1's shittacular one. Never thought I'd be saying that though, but you know me, I am a grumpy effort man.
i find the worst bit on pointblank are those weird external Kidneys that you're supposed to tab his legs into in car mode, its not even that they look like weird robo body horror, its that they pop off the moment the feet even touch them during transformation.
@@PerspectiveEnd they probably would have been fine if they were pinned somhow and actually had locking tabs for robot mode rather than just floating there.

Thanks for the Heads up, yeah I wouldn't have known who you were without the heads up, so now I know who I'm looking at. I don't know if it was anyone really in these comments sections, people here aren't really on the look out for bots. Though weirdly enough there is a Bot Impersonating me going around today.
The only way I’d say the figure would be even more perfect-other than that Hasbro should have found a way to transform the hands for his alt mode-is if it was leader class. That way he could be more imposing on display. But, since Hasbro has been much more keen with scale with these recent years, a leader class Tarn would only be achievable if we originally got a leader class WFC trilogy Megatron; given that Tarn is around Megatron’s size. But since we got a voyager Megatron instead, Tarn had to be made at the voyager scale. Doesn’t change that I really love the figure. And I’m especially glad I was able to find at least one copy of him at Target after two weeks of searching.
absolutely a video I agree with, though starscream is a spot higher on my personal ranking since I was lucky enough to not be burned by the shitty leg qc really hope dragon megs hits stores in my area soon because all my legacy purchases have been voyagers and it's like the one single leader I was excited for
While if my Starscream wasn't borked on the QC, I'd have called it a great figure, I don't know that it would have beaten Inferno... Though I can't rule that out either.
Hi PerspectiveEnd. I want to ask, in your honest opinion, which is worse? 1) Getting a perfect new mainline transformer, free of any QC issue, only to damage or scruff the paint, due to carelessness, but mostly due to bad materials, bad paint, or just bad design. 2) Buying a mainline transformer secondhand, only to have issues that you can't quite tell whether they are QC, or the previous owner mishandled it and just saying he got it like that. I bought a Studio Series Hot Rod, really love the figure. In car mode, the side headlights do not sit flush with the car body. So I just kept pressing and pressing, until I realize I got stress marks on the tab. I only realized later they were not supposed to sit flush. And the Clear painted part, the one where his fender tabs in to his back, that part now has a tiny hairline crack. It was my fault, but I would attribute it to poor design. I bought a Star Saber second hand with a corner of his red shoulder with chipped paint. Seller assured me it was QC issue and showed me a list of reported issue. I really want to believe him. And my Twincast secondhand, an unpainted part of his leg looked like someone scraped it with a coin. Not noticeable at first glance, and because of that I genuinely can't tell if it was QC or the seller caused it.
1 do you mean a bad figure who's bad dude to materials paint or Design? 2 If that is what you mean then it's 1. If it's bad when I get it directly from the Manufacturer, then I'm angry. This should not be a problem. Mine has that crack too. Sorry to hear about your Starsaber, and Twincast. I think I heard somethign about the Starsaber shoulder in a Review.
Fantastic ranking video PerspectiveEnd!!! I agree about Inferno. I believe he is not only the best Legacy wave 3 voyager figure, but he is the best voyager class figure that has been released in the entire Legacy line. :D Transmetal II Megatron is a prime example of a leader class figure done correctly. lol Keep on being amazing.
also how the hell did your controversy go from "seige is better than earthrise" to "cryotek suck" cryotek is so obscure that its weird i know you wanted a mob on your door (looks at the drlockdown vid) but cmon i thought the mob would be more interesting
Since there is literally nothing about the video I can comment on, I would just like to say that I found a generations rhinox for only 20 dollars. This grants me joy.
Bombburst is the only one of this run I wanted and you’ll be appalled to know how happy I am with him :) The alt mode is a fair recreation of the G1 innerrobots (including the Cloudraker style swept back wings) and the beast/robot (have we got a definitive ruling on which is the correct terminology) reminds me of the comic character mixed in with some of the vampire comics I had as a kid. Maybe it’s because G1 and the UK comics are the only continuity I’m really interested in ;)
For some reason Bomb-Burst is the only one out of Decepti-tenders that I actually want (+the only one i can afford). Maybe its because i watched Japanese G1 cartoons a lot during my childhood🤔
I'm not Appalled. I'm happy that you are happy, I'm not trying to make you dislike this thing, I'm just trying to warn you that I don't think you will like it. I mean in the G1 and Uk comic his design was a lot different than that.
@@kettchuk918 skullgrin shouldve been core class, i also want Submaradeur as core class to finish lil gremlins party. I also wonder if there would be autobot pretenders as core class with their pretender shell armour.
@@PerspectiveEnd I know, that’s why I watch your reviews, brutal honesty :p Me, I’m a niche subset of geewunner, I’d watched 3 episodes of the cartoon when I was a kid, it was all about the UK comic. A niche wanker amongst niche wankers :p
Well it was more that the BW ones were the good ones, the UT one was the ALMOST good one, and the rest were terrible. But yeah I like the way it turned out too.
Sometimes I wish these had the names of the engineers on these toys. Then we could decide which engineer we like the best. I don't know what kind of team has designed these toys, so I'm speaking from ignorance. But it would be cool to be able to collect toys based on creators.
Some how they get Credit some times, but it's Rare. And yes it would be awesome to get who made the figure on the box so we can know who to assign praise or blame to.
I honestly like the point blank figure. And I like the Crankcase lad as well, Dead end (I think I have most of wave 3 deluxe figures now) and I’m not into SkullGrin cause he’s basically an half tread tank
I have all of these now (barring Pointblank, but he doesn’t count), and I have to say I agree with your list. Skullgrin and Bomb Burst are a lot to be desired, Dead End is just an arm to me (and not a great one at that), Crankcase is pretty okay, and the Beast Wars guys are amazing. Also I think you’re right about your Starscream theory, because my Starscream’s left leg sat almost a centimeter lower than the right one. It felt kinda like the Kingdom Galvatron shoulder situation, only it happened to just one leg.
@@PerspectiveEnd I didn’t think there’d be a sign like that either, but mine wouldn’t stand up correctly until I reversed the hip. I don’t know if anyone else noticed that, but it’s what I noticed, so that’s why I pointed it out.
Update: Just bought Pointblank, mainly for the novelty of having the worst Legacy figure(legends Hot Rod was Kingdom, so doesn’t count), and I think I shoulda just saved my money for something different. On top of feeling like a rejected Titans Return figure, one of the ball joint pieces on the side fell off out of the box, and I thought it was missing altogether until I stood up and looked. And there’s really no reason for those pieces to exist other than bumping up the parts count, cause it’s just a shitty cybercar with or without them. The arms are weird, I hate the hollow legs, and the head just looks like they reused Siege Ironhide’s face and put it on some unused 86 Blurr head. Or something. Either way, it wasn’t that great. Wasn’t the worst 25 bucks I ever spent, but I’ve bought better figures for half that price. The Targetmaster’s name is Peacemaker. I really need to watch that show.
Well, that was fun to watch. And I have 2 questions... What's your problem with Cryotek? And second question regarding Drlockdown. More specificly, how would you describe your relations with him as anouther TF fan and youtuber? Since you bouth usually have diffrent takes on same fingers, yet I had seen you appeared in his videos for at least 3 times. (like his Zeta NOT-Superion review).
Happy you enjoyed. He's just a Lame Character who makes Megatron Lesser. He steals too much of Megatron's story for him self as a Quick Path to making people think he's cool. I'm good with Dr.Lockdown. He's probably the other UA-camr in this Space that I'm the Tightest with.
So almost immediately after I made that comment about not being able to find anything new, I go out to my local wamart and discover the shelves are filled with studio series Crosshairs and Hotrod, Core Class Grimlock and a Metalhawk and Twincast. I find fucking Evolution WAVE 2 before Legacy wave 2. What the fuck. Though it does give me hope that there's a Shrapnel floating around somewhere.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah I was shocked to see them too. which was why I immediately grabbed him, but I passed on Twincast because as much as I want Rewind, I don't want to get just a blue colored Blaster
Dragon Megs is the clear winner but Deadend is actually amazing to me, it’s basically Dragstip but w G1 Sideswipes vibe in the aesthetic I love all the variants released too so both Dragstrip and Deadend could honestly be interchangeable for my eventual finished Menasor, breakdown is ok and Wildrider is weird
I'm still waiting on my preorders for Megatron and Dead End to fill. Even put in orders for them at two different places to cover myself and they're both just floating in distribution limbo. Never seen the very first figure from this wave at actual retail either. But Earthspark is sure doing some amazing shelf warming at all of the brick-and-mortar around me
Still hopin to find Megatron sooner than later. Also is it weird that your review of Skullgrin is what made me decide against buying it but now this fan mode has me wanting one? I dunno how the heck that wound up happening but hopefully if I do get him I'll be lucky with QC.
Yeah that is funny, like I can see why I did make you want it. I tried to warn people away from it now, but this time I made people want it, and that wasn't ENTIRELY unintentional.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, and the same thing has happened with SS86 Wreck-Gar too after rewatching that review. Idk what changed my mind but here we are and now I'm gonna be looking for both of these.
Gonna do this short and simple. Which ones I own and what i think of them. GO. Crankcase: After getting Burnout, I don't like it as much, doors don't tab in well in alt mode and has a metallic teal dot on his visor that can't be ignored. 5/10. Dead End: I still really enjoy him. Good transformation that feels more solid than Dragstrip, nice alt mode. Can't say much more since I have Menasor permanently on my shelf and I refuse to de-combine him. 6/10 Skullgrin: I quite like this guy. Interesting robot mode and decent poseabilty. Alt mode makes more sense as a flying warship than a tank. The horns are still annoying. 5/10 Inferno. As close to a Masterpiece Inferno we're going to get. Looks amazing, poses well, transformation is simple and fun, alt mode looks and feels great. The tab on my legs broke so I can't peg them together, but doesn't ruin anything. 9/10 TM2 Megatron: I made my opinions clear on him. Looks good, poses decent, decent transformation, great alt mode. Just has those insignificant problems that just urk me slightly. 8/10
I didn’t buy every figure from this wave, but I’d rank all the ones I did buy in this exact order. I decided to wait on Transmetal II Megatron since Transart supposedly has plans to release one which scales with their current Optimal Optimus (which is basically CHUG scale, unlike the rest of their BWM line.)
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, BWM-05 falls somewhere between a tall modern leader (86 Grimlock) and a tall commander (Siege Jetfire). Edit: I measured my copy and he’s 9.6 inches tall.
fun fact about cryotek: the closest thing to a rival he has is primal prime......... aka if the term "robo jesus" was applied to robot since primal prime is just the matrix who has the optimisim of a kid but the experience of each one of every single prime from prima to rodimus, has the powers of what the vok could posses and knowing tigerhawk alot and litterally the only thing of a weakness he has is that his crushing doubts keep getting to him but with all that said................ cryotek's ass would be screwed every week if this were a saturday morning cartoon
Perspectiveend: the guy that hates earthrise, the er cliff mold, and a blue tm2 megatron repaint (as claim by the majority). Not surprised by how the list for wave 3 turns out. The designers really must've put all of their care in the known universe to make the 2 predacons perfect while forgetting to do qc on everyone else.
My top 3 figures would have to be starscream, TM2 Megatron and definitely Scraphook Starscream, while not perfect, perfectly captures the look of his armada incarnation. I just wish some of the imperfections were cleaned up more, like the holes in the legs and the crap weapon storage but it's pretty solid
What's your opinion on the core class dinobot combiners I honestly don't think it's going to look too bad when it's fully done it's a nice way to get a combiner into your collection at a budget I'm still waiting for the second leg to come out and may get two of them if that looks better in combined mode
HEY PERSPECTIVE IVE GOT AMAZING NEWS!!! they have recently released images of the new line of studio series and its gonna be from the war for cybertron game, presenting bumblebee, baracade, and optimus prime!!!
my armada starscream does have the hip joint issue but on the right leg, and even then its only when going the opposite way its supposed to go, the other way its fine QC is weird
@@PerspectiveEnd like instead of rotating it counter clockwise which is what I assume most people would do when posing it, it pops off when rotating it clockwise
Jeez...that leg issue with Armada Starscream seems like something that threatens to happen to SS86-17 Ironhide's arms. And I definitely gotta get Transmetal 2 Megatron to go with my upgraded PotP Optimal Optimus...even if it means slightly overpaying at BBTS since retail stores suck at ordering stuff (*glares at Target & Walmart*). Sure as hell beats the sheer scalping action goin' on over on both evilBay and ScAmazon. (And there's supposed to be a kit from DNA Design for Megs, too...that should be coming soon if it ain't out already) Ohhh, Bomb-Burst looks like something real, alright: an elephant turd.
@@PerspectiveEnd The DNA Design DK08 & DK08+ kits. That was well worth it, though annoyingly, they did a repaint to go with the Throne of the Primes repaint, and it's all in one box. Well, my copy of Ironhide... those arms stay lookin' like they're one rotation away from sliding off the mushroom pegs they're on.
I STILL need Deadend, Motormaster, Armada Starscream, and Transmetal 2 Megatron. Yet I was already able to find/get Needlenose. Distribution better be better this summer/fall, because if it’s still not good now, I doubt it will be better by this Spring
Yeah my copy of Starscream the hip/Thighs are bad my right leg pops off those damn mushroom pegs are driving me insane a bit they needed a back fillin peice to keep the leg held in place instead of an open back mushroom peg 6:49 😢😞😒🙄😑
Sorry to hear that people really can't seem to escape the bad legs. Every now and then people get one with two right hips, and so it has good legs, but that means others get two left ones, so both legs fall off.
@@PerspectiveEnd he's a good figure overall im happy with him and excited to have him granted he's not broken still functions ...those pegs would have benefited from being covered not open
Pointblank alone is why I don’t care that they aren’t including minicons on the Unicron Trilogy figures and why I wish they didn’t bother to include the mini figure
Guess I got lucky, my Starscream has two good hips. And is actually slightly resistant to bending in half when transformed. To keep things balanced, the head is a bit cursed as it tires to look slightly to the right when I try to get him looking forward.
My idea is, after Megatron joins Optimus, Thundercracker and Skywarp are reformatted to look distinct and Starscream gets resurrected after his spiritual adventure, and through that he gains the Armada look. And he acts more like the Armada version over time. But before that he's already a feared ace known for his hit and run attacks. Also Skywarp is female. Starscream fights against Jhiaxus' monster horde fiercely and becomes a commander under Cyclonus. So Siege Starscream and Legacy Armada Starscream are gonna be the same guy in my collection. Would Thundercracker and Skywarp stay with Megatron or join Starscream? I would like Bombburst if his head didn't look like a silly laughing pig. His alt mode is awesome, but that is just micromaster levels of transformation, it's too simple. Ends up with a lot of remaining robot too. I love Skullgrin, I'm buying 86 Grimlock, RID Prime Arcee, and Legacy Bulkhead first though. Goddamn there's just too many Autobots I like. I wanna buy Siege Springer too. I wish Pointblank was good. I love the design of the character. He's a red robot with cool horns and a vehicle mode that is a race car with a prominent cockpit and mandibles. Amazing. There's a lot of easy fixes that I listed in the short, none of those are fundamental. This mold had potential. But they made it so cheap. The cockpit and hips are just astronomical levels of wrong, so it's not just that. I would like to add some fixes to that list. •Widen the lower legs so they can make the hips accurate. •If the forearm bumps are integral to the transformation, make them slide forward or hinge to the side of the forearm. Legacy Pointblank is an amazing study subject for transformation designers. Of how not to do things. I would probably just buy Beast Inferno and Silverbolt. I'm not big on Beast Wars, and the cyber aesthetic fits a Lego city better. They are the most interesting designs for me. I still can't find Legacy Elita in more than 1 store. And that was the store that didn't give the figures more than 20% discount for 2 year old figures.
Is this based on some previous message I'm failing to remember at the moment? I'm glad you are enjoying Skullgrin. Are you using the Fan Altmode, or just going standard. I expect you will love 86 Grimlock.
"Classic interpretation means the version of the character that defined them" Oh, but Movie Barricade and Blackout and TFA Bulkhead need different names because they aren't G1? I guess it doesn't matter that they were far bigger and more memorable characters then since that would mean that you have to allow multiple characters to share a name.
What? I've never said that? Movie Barricade, TFA Bulkhead, and Movie Blackout are all the guys who defined the character, so they are the one's who get to be the Classic Interpretations.
@@PerspectiveEnd OH REALLY!? That's a different narrative than the one you tried to spin last time. You know whats funny? A real kneeslapper? G1 Barricade and Blackout had about as much comic time as Battletrap. And see that's how I fugured you didn't want them to have those names, on top of the time you said "Bulkhead would be the same if he wasn't called Bulkhead." SAY, Bulkhead actually had a LOT of screen time in Energon. More time for his character than Battletrap, Blackout, and Barricade combined and doubled. What a coincidence. Why, if we use that as a metric the complaint for RoTB Battletrap seems rather stupid, doesn't it?
Except no one Remembers or Cares about Energon Bulkhead still. It doesn't matter Screen time it matters what Defined the character, and Bulkhead was Defined by Animated. And Battletrap was NEVER part of this Discussion before. We had a SEPARATE discussion about him, and how RotB shouldn't have just made it a new guy, because it would be super cool for them to combine. But I'm not under some kind of INSANE delusion that Battletrap WAS EVER defined by anything. He's not a character yet.
Ok so I just got SS ROTF Leader class the fallen I love it and Hate it at the same time I love it looks of it and how big it is the part I hate is everything it looks like it’s black it’s clear plastic foggy clear plastic it annoys me but other than that it’s glorious and honestly I didn’t come to this video to look at who is the best I just want to hear you ramble on about stuff lol Great video pretty obvious ranking but great voice work with it I don’t know how to say it honestly does the best way that my dumb brain could think of

@@papersamurai00 Thew generally doesn't need much to work with in order for him to begin spewing poetry about it, though. He even makes videos about those Europe/Australasia exclusives from the G1.5 years.
He will definitely also say "I know this grumpy dude" though.
I know right? He's been waiting for this for years.
I guess he's been busy lately.
Yeah it seems both of mine are bad but for mine it's the right hip that worse
6:49 😢
Being megatron, he probably went back in time to sabotage the other figures
I wouldn't doubt that.
Bomburst has the engineering of a Lego built transformer using battle droid parts from a Star Wars advent calendar
I think that might have been a Sick Burn.
The top 3 I agree with perfectly, even starscream, while has problems, I have so much fun posing him and he looks so cool that I can easy overlook the QC
Yeah there's an Awesome figure hiding inside of Starscream.
It's not the Transformation they are trying to fix but the Poseability.
WOOOH!!! FREE ENGAGEMENT!!!
@@PerspectiveEnd What does that mean (by "free engagement")?
I love the JCVD reference you did with the trucks that he did in that commercial. Lol
Thank you. I was VERY proud of the way that turned out.
@@PerspectiveEnd keep up the good work on your videos. Hope to see a Breakdown review soon
Get this yesterday I found breakdown but I still haven’t seen deadend in stores and last I checked he’s $45 days on Amazon and I said I’ll just wait until that is quiet literally my last option. Great video btw
Man why is he so expensive?
Anyways thank you!
Loved your cameo in the new Dr.Lockdown video
Thank you. I've been waiting months for that to come out.
hey perspective, not sure if you're into model kits at all but i just finished building the yolopark optimus prime and I'm completely speechless. the level of detail is insane and has now become my magnum opus. if you are interested in taking the time to built it (about 3 or so days) i would highly highly reccomend. great video as always!
Thank you for the recommendation, and sorry about the scam bot.
Glad your Starscream isn't having too many issues outside the neck.
I think my copy of Starscream I got for Christmas is one of the lucky few copies where neither of the legs pop off, and all together the only floppy parts on the entire thing are the pegs connecting the legs to the groin
Like so the legs don't really hold place? That'd suck.
Hasbro distribution is so bad that I got breakdown but I still don’t have dead end
Yeah, I've seen people who've not even seen wave 2 yet, get a Metalhawk.
I ended up getting a Starscream. While my QC Roulette was probably better than most, it’s still loose in some really weird places…mainly the shoulders if you push them into the correct positions for Robot Mode, and the hips but only if you rock the figure forward and back. It’s *WEIRD*
Otherwise, the accessories are too damned small, but luckily a dude on Etsy sells replacements for both at very low rates that are basically perfect…outside the grainy lines that come with the territory of 3D Print.
He also does a Wing Sword in 3 styles to replace the one present on Legacy Starscream
One of the Ebay models, by "BDT Studio", is made of sturdier plastic and is bigger, but the handle is black and they stretched the ships to comical proportions to make a longer blade. arguably too long.
Damn mushroom pegs 😒🙄😑 6:49
Definitely gotta get me the Top 2, unfortunately all the stores near me decided that Wave 2 and 3 didn’t exist. Also I gotta agree with you on Cryotek, when you made the original post I forgot that he was from Beast Wars and not RID 2001.
I'm glad to hear at least anyone hates Cryotek and it's not just me.
And yeah, I had to buy everything from wave 3 online.
it seems like your doing better percy good to see that dude nice video glad to see that you are doing better.
I am doing a lot better, thank you very much.
Half price.
That is a Beastly Haul man. How are you liking Inferno?
@PerspectiveEnd it's great. I also got scammed which I'll talk about next video.
Fanmode Skullgrin looks like ROTF Megatron's flying tank mode lol
I can kind of see where you are coming from with that.
Had Skullgrin for a while now, this video made me realize there's too much rubber plastic on the top of his hipguards when you started posing him.
So now I sheared off the rubber with a small knife (while also actively praying to god that I don't chop off my fucking fingers) and it poses FAR better than before.
Thank you Perspective, you made me modify one small flaw i had that actively made the figure better for me even if it is subpar at best in my opinion.
skull grin's altmode reminds me of a (wears glasses) short and stocky version of the "The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System" with a skull in the front
or am i just seeing things
I can see why you'd think that, but I don't think it looks like that personally.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah i think i'm just seeing things
Oi, PP! Thanks for that funny fanmode of Skullgrin - now I have an altmode for my version of Dauros, cuz you sure saved me time on imagining one based on G1's shittacular one. Never thought I'd be saying that though, but you know me, I am a grumpy effort man.
I'm glad to help you out here.
Holy shit, I love that skulgrin fan mode! It looks like the album cover for RÖÖÖAARRR by Voivod
Yeah, it's awesome, and more people need to know of it. It's a Great Altmode.
I actually fixed the leg popping off on my Starscream by shaving off the bit of extra material inside his thigh
I've tried doing that before, only to have the whole joint fail because of it.
i find the worst bit on pointblank are those weird external Kidneys that you're supposed to tab his legs into in car mode, its not even that they look like weird robo body horror, its that they pop off the moment the feet even touch them during transformation.
Oh yeah, I hate those things. They pop off every time I try to transform him.
@@PerspectiveEnd they probably would have been fine if they were pinned somhow and actually had locking tabs for robot mode rather than just floating there.
So I was The channel with love from Nevada and recently me and my mom’s channel got deleted because most of the comments we posted Got Reported so until we somehow get our channel back i’ll be posting from this channel for the forseeable future oh and to those guys reported me for making timestamps in comments you know what they say about assuming it makes an ass out of you and me no question today I just wanted to let people know oh and To all of you who reported me for being a bot two words screw off

@@PerspectiveEnd Sorry to hear that
Finally got my Tarn from Amazon and he's absolutely a piece of- Art! There's a lot of paint and the posing in amazing
That's what people are telling me, now if mine can just EVER come off preorder.
absolutely a video I agree with, though starscream is a spot higher on my personal ranking since I was lucky enough to not be burned by the shitty leg qc
really hope dragon megs hits stores in my area soon because all my legacy purchases have been voyagers and it's like the one single leader I was excited for
While if my Starscream wasn't borked on the QC, I'd have called it a great figure, I don't know that it would have beaten Inferno... Though I can't rule that out either.
I wholeheartedly agree with this list now hopefully the figures from wave 4 are all good
Thank you. Though this is now Legacy Evolution, it's not just wave 4 of Legacy.
I should get around to a Best of the Best video where I compare the best figure from Each wave.
@@PerspectiveEnd I hope you please do, I'd watch that video in a heartbeat. :D
PerspectiveEnd when reviewing skullgrin: this thing sucks
PerspectiveEnd after everything else: perhaps I treated you too harshly
Yes, but he still deserved a Degree of Harshness.
You're not coming to wash this video to see who's the highest, you're coming to see who's lowest
I don't know about that, and either way it was obvious what was highest and lowest.
I actually didn't catch the joke flub until I went back. I guess my brain auto-corrected to Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to experience my abuse of your emotions without being distracted by my idiocy.
13:15 the icy blue looks pwetty
also how the hell did your controversy go from "seige is better than earthrise" to "cryotek suck" cryotek is so obscure that its weird i know you wanted a mob on your door (looks at the drlockdown vid) but cmon i thought the mob would be more interesting
It does look good yes.
That's my point, how the hell was that SOOOOO controversial.
I must now get a kingdom black arachnia and skullgrim for that one joke
And what joke is that, cause it's more Skullgrin and Bulkhead that you need.
I don’t know what happened, but my starscream used to have the leg problem, and it just suddenly decided to be normal
Weird? Well I'm glad to hear that at least.
Spot-on....Megs was the best purchase of this wave for me.
Absolutely. He's such an awesome purchase.
Very important question, how many chibifomers do you have? When will we get What's the cutest? It gotta be a milestone right?
I think there might be a What's the Cutest very soon, and I think I've got 4.
Since there is literally nothing about the video I can comment on, I would just like to say that I found a generations rhinox for only 20 dollars. This grants me joy.
Nice! Congratulations on that price. That's crazy.
@@mrzirak792 yeah, Iguanus was carrying a bike on his back and Skullgrin just…no…:p
@@PerspectiveEnd I know, that’s why I watch your reviews, brutal honesty :p
Me, I’m a niche subset of geewunner, I’d watched 3 episodes of the cartoon when I was a kid, it was all about the UK comic. A niche wanker amongst niche wankers :p
Love that thumbnail of those 2 Beast Wars and 1 Armada faves of mine stepping on the G1 characters as a UT and BW fan XD
“Why am I even bothering with this”
That’s a question you should ask yourself Perspective End (got that reference?)
Yes I got the Reference.
@@PerspectiveEnd epic
I honestly like the point blank figure. And I like the Crankcase lad as well, Dead end (I think I have most of wave 3 deluxe figures now) and I’m not into SkullGrin cause he’s basically an half tread tank
we all know that dragon megs would be number one😻great video by the way
Thank you, and yes, absolutely everyone knew how this was going to turn out.
Pointblank's torso and shoulders make him look like Bayverse Wheelie's face.
I do see what you are talking about.
That is not a bit of knowledge I had prior?
I didn't think there would be a Tell Tale sign of that.
This was an absolute STOMP for Megatron, getting the "absolute GLORY he deserves!" -Inferno
Also, Optimal Optimus video when?
Also HOOLY SHIT YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SPAM BOTS NOW I JUST REPORTED IT
Thank you very much for reporting the spam bot.
I mean Inferno gave him a run for his money.
Wait, Core Grimlock is already out? What the Fuck?
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah I was shocked to see them too. which was why I immediately grabbed him, but I passed on Twincast because as much as I want Rewind, I don't want to get just a blue colored Blaster
Dragon Megs is the clear winner but Deadend is actually amazing to me, it’s basically Dragstip but w G1 Sideswipes vibe in the aesthetic
I love all the variants released too so both Dragstrip and Deadend could honestly be interchangeable for my eventual finished Menasor, breakdown is ok and Wildrider is weird
I don't know that he feels like sideswipe to me, but I can see how if you have a less jacked up copy then you will like it more than me.
I'm still waiting on my preorders for Megatron and Dead End to fill. Even put in orders for them at two different places to cover myself and they're both just floating in distribution limbo. Never seen the very first figure from this wave at actual retail either. But Earthspark is sure doing some amazing shelf warming at all of the brick-and-mortar around me
And I go to Walmart a couple hours after posting this and there's a whole case of wave 3 deluxes hanging on the pegs 😆
Yeah, seems like they really stocked them up on Earthspark, it's just the figures are too expensive for what they are.
0:15 because I wanna support you and your content
Thank you very much!
Let’s hope the powerlinx version of Armada starscream fixes the QC
We will kill them if they don't.
I managed to turn skullgrin into a turret fan mode, bit akward but still neat
Turret Fan?
Got pics?
@@PerspectiveEnd i can try recreate it, and where can i send em ?
Gonna do this short and simple. Which ones I own and what i think of them. GO.
Crankcase: After getting Burnout, I don't like it as much, doors don't tab in well in alt mode and has a metallic teal dot on his visor that can't be ignored. 5/10.
Dead End: I still really enjoy him. Good transformation that feels more solid than Dragstrip, nice alt mode. Can't say much more since I have Menasor permanently on my shelf and I refuse to de-combine him. 6/10
Skullgrin: I quite like this guy. Interesting robot mode and decent poseabilty. Alt mode makes more sense as a flying warship than a tank. The horns are still annoying. 5/10
Inferno. As close to a Masterpiece Inferno we're going to get. Looks amazing, poses well, transformation is simple and fun, alt mode looks and feels great. The tab on my legs broke so I can't peg them together, but doesn't ruin anything. 9/10
TM2 Megatron: I made my opinions clear on him. Looks good, poses decent, decent transformation, great alt mode. Just has those insignificant problems that just urk me slightly. 8/10
I can see that you tend to agree with my Rankings for the most part. Most of the figures this wave were just limp.
Wait their Optimal is Chug Scale? What? I didn't know that.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, BWM-05 falls somewhere between a tall modern leader (86 Grimlock) and a tall commander (Siege Jetfire).
Edit: I measured my copy and he’s 9.6 inches tall.
I’ve seen multiple armada-scream in stores but skipped them
It would be so good if it weren't for the QC.
This has given me a reason to pick up skull grin just for the sake of it
Which is funny cause in my review, I was trying to convince people not to get it.
@@PerspectiveEnd hopefully most people won’t care for it and I will be able to find It cheap
Wave 3's quality was what I expected wave 1 to be like
Yeah, same. I expected so much worse from wave 1, and was made to expect so much better of wave 3.
I've never heard of Cryotek, but after doing some research you're not alone.
Yeah he's lame, and I don't get why everyone is so in love with him.
fun fact about cryotek: the closest thing to a rival he has is primal prime......... aka if the term "robo jesus" was applied to robot since primal prime is just the matrix who has the optimisim of a kid but the experience of each one of every single prime from prima to rodimus, has the powers of what the vok could posses and knowing tigerhawk alot and litterally the only thing of a weakness he has is that his crushing doubts keep getting to him but with all that said................
cryotek's ass would be screwed every week if this were a saturday morning cartoon
he's just optimal optimus but red and blue and with a faceplate
Yeah, I don't see how Cryotek has a Chance against that.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah he dead
Perspectiveend: the guy that hates earthrise, the er cliff mold, and a blue tm2 megatron repaint (as claim by the majority).
Not surprised by how the list for wave 3 turns out. The designers really must've put all of their care in the known universe to make the 2 predacons perfect while forgetting to do qc on everyone else.
Well I don't know that it's the Designers job to detect QC from the factory.
My top 3 figures would have to be starscream, TM2 Megatron and definitely Scraphook
Starscream, while not perfect, perfectly captures the look of his armada incarnation. I just wish some of the imperfections were cleaned up more, like the holes in the legs and the crap weapon storage but it's pretty solid
You just gave a reason to try to hunt down skullgrin
He looks like the icon of sin and transforms into the war jack from castle crashers
I'm shocked that I wound up selling that figure to anyone, considering my initial reaction to it.
transmetal 2 megatron is amazing besides my copy having a broken ratchet joint in the left leg
Does it still hold despite the Broken Ratchet?
Yeah
Its weirdly tighter now
What's your opinion on the core class dinobot combiners I honestly don't think it's going to look too bad when it's fully done it's a nice way to get a combiner into your collection at a budget I'm still waiting for the second leg to come out and may get two of them if that looks better in combined mode
You will find out next week Hopefully.
HEY PERSPECTIVE IVE GOT AMAZING NEWS!!! they have recently released images of the new line of studio series and its gonna be from the war for cybertron game, presenting bumblebee, baracade, and optimus prime!!!
I have seen them, they are interesting to say the least. It will be a few weeks before I have the opportunity to talk about Reveals.
Can’t wait for the Cryotek repaint to happen
arent you the guy who made the cryotek complimation vid on perspective being bashed on???
YOU MONSTER!!!
my armada starscream does have the hip joint issue but on the right leg, and even then its only when going the opposite way its supposed to go, the other way its fine
QC is weird
What do you mean it's going the opposite way?
(And there's supposed to be a kit from DNA Design for Megs, too...that should be coming soon if it ain't out already)
Ohhh, Bomb-Burst looks like something real, alright: an elephant turd.
You do need one of them yes. What upgrade kit did you get for your Optimal Optimus?
And I didn't know that was a thing with that Ironhide.
You know now that I look a the mammoth rakti knight I figured it out she was a pre-tool for it sense it look so much better
I don't know that she can be counted as a pretool when the mammoth has such a limited run of figures.
I STILL need Deadend, Motormaster, Armada Starscream, and Transmetal 2 Megatron. Yet I was already able to find/get Needlenose. Distribution better be better this summer/fall, because if it’s still not good now, I doubt it will be better by this Spring
It is crazy how a lot of this stuff was just announced and is already out.
Seems to have gotten better only when I move the pegs up a notch but then he can't transform due to lack of clearance from how high the thighs sit now
13:38 i've been here so long and i thought that the follow was fu-
i've been a long time subscriber keep goin my man don't allow those cryotek fangirls who were made just like 2 days ago get into your head
Yeah a lot of people are confused by the Follow.
and I won't let them get to me.
Chad Predacons taking names,
Indeed they do.
Megatron seems to always have the best figures of the beast wars characters
Yeah he keeps getting those Big wins, both here and in Legacy.
a actually have had great QC with wave 3 my deadend actually stays together without the clipping of tabs and my skullgrin is more tight than loose
Yeah, mine's not Uniquely bad or anything, but it's just about as likely to get a good one as a bad one.
Pointblank alone is why I don’t care that they aren’t including minicons on the Unicron Trilogy figures and why I wish they didn’t bother to include the mini figure
I honestly don't believe that his Budget was Ruined by his Crappy Minifigure. That thing sucks so hard there's no Justifying it.
Alternet title for this vid is: red dudes having a squatting match featuring Crankcase
Squarting?
@@PerspectiveEnd dyslexia is fun to live with
Cool video. Do you think you will ever review Optimal though?
Guess I got lucky, my Starscream has two good hips. And is actually slightly resistant to bending in half when transformed.
To keep things balanced, the head is a bit cursed as it tires to look slightly to the right when I try to get him looking forward.
Fun Fact: All the Skullgrins in my area have no heads. Someone is collecting skulls.
Great. Love to hear it. Good job hasbro.
@@PerspectiveEndI haven't bought Skullgrin.
If anything, I'll buy Bulkhead and Override first.
Inferno is fun
Now that I got Starscream, it was loose in a few places
Can't wait for Gen selects Cryotek (:
Inferno is quite fun, and sorry to hear that your Starscream turned out like most of the rest.
You MONSTER!!!
Beast wars domination
Of course. Was there ever any doubt?
"Classic interpretation means the version of the character that defined them"
Oh, but Movie Barricade and Blackout and TFA Bulkhead need different names because they aren't G1? I guess it doesn't matter that they were far bigger and more memorable characters then since that would mean that you have to allow multiple characters to share a name.
What? I've never said that?
Movie Barricade, TFA Bulkhead, and Movie Blackout are all the guys who defined the character, so they are the one's who get to be the Classic Interpretations.
@@PerspectiveEnd OH REALLY!? That's a different narrative than the one you tried to spin last time.
You know whats funny? A real kneeslapper? G1 Barricade and Blackout had about as much comic time as Battletrap. And see that's how I fugured you didn't want them to have those names, on top of the time you said "Bulkhead would be the same if he wasn't called Bulkhead."
SAY, Bulkhead actually had a LOT of screen time in Energon.
I never realized how much red was in wave 3. I’m trying to think of a joke but I got nothing.
The QC of the red figures in wave 3 is like it came straight out of the RED line?
9:02 My thoughts exactly :D
That this isn't a video about him, or that he's good like that.
Ok so I just got SS ROTF Leader class the fallen I love it and Hate it at the same time I love it looks of it and how big it is the part I hate is everything it looks like it’s black it’s clear plastic foggy clear plastic it annoys me but other than that it’s glorious and honestly I didn’t come to this video to look at who is the best I just want to hear you ramble on about stuff lol Great video pretty obvious ranking but great voice work with it I don’t know how to say it honestly does the best way that my dumb brain could think of
I also can’t wait to get my hands on to scold him I don’t really care for the old mowed the robotMode is I want it for honestly been the T2 megs Will be awesome to get my hands on too he would be one that will be a great addition to my collection dead end I just want in for menasoar
Glad you are enjoying at least some Aspect of it.
I could tell the figure it self wasn't going to be a ton of fun just looking at it.
I'm glad you feel that way. Proud you want to just hear me talk.
i'm so glad you uploaded i had to bury my cat today i needed this
I'm so sorry to hear that. That sucks. I love my cats and it pains me to hear that.
