Yes! The sole bright helps the dye deep in and dye the complete plastic, without it the leather dye will only be on the outside of the material and will wear down with time

I'm not ya boy but I use a magic eraser and patience. I find that if I rub too hard it can leave some sort of scrub mark. Best of luck.
