- Jamming on an Old-school DNA supercharged Charvel/Limited Edition Super Stock SC1. I'll be doing an overview/review of this guitar really soon. I have one of these guitars with the same Original 1984 Floyd Rose installed Sounds great.
I just got one of the new MJ (made in Japan) Charvel 24 fret mahogany guitars. Neck is very much like the Govan as far as back carve is concerned. More thin C. Very comfortable.
never played a Charvel I did not immediately like

Great video. Why does it seem like Charvels are so bright sounding. I was thinking it’s the pickups, but even acoustically unplugged they sound bright and seem to not have much low end compared to similar guitars.
Thanks! I think it’s the brightness the voicing of the pickups coupled with the amp/profile/amp sims. I could get this guitar to sound dark by shaping the eq. Also, floating Floyd Rose bridges always lent to a little more brightness. IMO
and what about the clean funky tones ?
