Protomen remain the absolute pinnacle of stage presence and putting on a kickass show. Everyone in the band is a master of their craft, and I'm always blown away by Gambler's vocal range and power even after so many years.
This. This 2 hour experience right here. This is what I came to MAGFest for. This is the event that caused me to drop everything for 4 months while I saved as much money as I possibly could. A friend had told me The Protomen were going to be here, and that was that. I'd asked my parents for support, and they took me to dinner to try and let me down easy. I looked them in the eyes as I ordered my ticket. I was going, and not a damn thing was going to stop me. And by God, I made it. And it was the greatest moment of my entire life. MAGFest 2024 was a lot of things for me. A lot of firsts. My first time leaving the state of Michigan alone. My first time on a plane in my adult life. My first time using public transport. My first time having a hotel room to myself. My first time at a convention. My first time seeing cosplayers. My first time meeting face-to-face with an online friend. My first autograph signings. My first time attending a concert. My first mosh pit. The first time I truly felt somewhere I belonged. I cannot express how unbelievably incredible this event was; The Protomen's concert, and MAGFest as a whole. I want to thank you, MAGFest. Every single person. Musicians, Panelists, staff, cosplayers, furries, attendees, that one guy who offered me a beer at the concert, and everyone in-between. You all contributed to something absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to do it again sometime. 💜🤘
Your comment is very heartfelt. Welcome to the rest of your life. 32 BITgen was that way to myself back in 2008 & my own introduction to The Protomen. It’s an amazing networked culture. I wish you many more experiences like the one you had.
I was at this absolute masterpiece of a show with no knowledge of The Protomen at all, and it was a profound, borderline religious experience. Met the band afterward, got a shirt signed, and they were just the coolest people. I fell in love that day. I will always fight with The Protomen
While at MAGfest, my friend told me about Protomen and that he was gonna go to their show. I wanted to go to a panel where they played Japanese commercials nonstop with commentary, but I decided on Protomen instead. I wasn't disappointed. It was happening at Potomac Lounge that night.
Such a powerful force on that stage. _there are the embers of a fire that's gone out but I can still feel the heat on my skin and this mess we're in, well, you and I_

Everyone in this band is on point. That female singer is astounding. She sounds just like the studio recording and that was about 10 years ago. They are skilled beyond their means. Much respect for all of these players. As a guitar player, too, and one who is deathly in love with explorers, that guitar player has my heart lol
i'm SO sad i couldn't make it to this show in person-but even so i watched the stream from my room and sang myself hoarse. this band means SO much to me, and i'm so glad to have witnessed their magic in action!!
He's still fucking got it holy hell, 17:00 I missed the past like 8 years of them, had no idea they were still together and playing. Act III soon I'm sure.
I've never gotten to personally go to one of their concerts. But I did get to watch a stream of one of their concerts a long time ago with other fans, and even just in the chat there was an immense sense of community and celebration of the sheer level of performance on stage. I'm so glad to see that they are still out there doing their thing. Something about this band is so unique, and that's not even a strong enough word for it.
I got a chance to meet one of the members of the Protomen, I didn't know who they were until I started binging their music on Bandcamp! legit some hard-hitting stuff!! i love it!
This show was just absolutely excellent, as always. The energy in that room was just to die for. (I admit to being a bit miffed at how Light Up the Night got altered/shortened, but that just is what it is sometimes.) I absolutely cannot wait for my next chance to see these heroes. FIGHT ON, GANG!

As a fellow Michigander, I feel that MAGFest is very special. There is nothing like it. I'm glad you got to experience many awesome firsts.
These feelings is what it's all about ! Had a very similar experience with the European tour when I heard they were coming to France .
Parents to support

I’VE BEEN WAITING EVERY DAY FOR THIS ONE
I have watched the Magfest 2020 Protomen performance so many times, seeing a 2024 Magfest concert just made my week.
Such a powerful force on that stage.

Excellent show, ‘Men!
I had never heard of them until seeing them at PAX South, it was the most epic show I had ever seen.

One of the best concerts I have ever been to. An unreal energy in that crowd that lasted the whole set, which was showstopper after showstopper.

Gambler's such a great singer. She sang The Fight flawlessly, so impressive!
Such a fun show, can’t wait to see them again for their 20th Anniversary!
i'm SO sad i couldn't make it to this show in person-but even so i watched the stream from my room and sang myself hoarse. this band means SO much to me, and i'm so glad to have witnessed their magic in action!!
Shoutout to the guy who said he was there to hear kilroy give flowery speeches
Putting the ROCK in ROCKMAN!
22:03 I'd do anything to be there, that's the stuff of legend right there.
Once…once in a while, you stumble upon this, and it changes you. Forever.
Love the Protomen! Hang out with them after their shows and go to dinner with them. Such awesome people. I've seen I think around 13 times or so now.
I’m so jealous
Oh yeah, and every song is part of large story starring Mega Man and his best friends and enemies.
-And pain. a lot of pain
Such a well put together and epic show.
One of a kind. Every show is special. Absolutely Epic year for Magfest
Really fucking good guys. Wow, new fan.
This was SO HYPE live, what a good show!
He's still fucking got it holy hell, 17:00

I really have to go to MAGFest just to see The Protomen. (Not just for that but you know what I mean)
I love them. Brilliant performance.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
I thought the title said "MAGAFest" and I panicked when I saw it on my homepage. Fortunately, I was rewarded with an awesome show instead!
LETS GOOOO
Lmao one of the kids during Due Vendetta looks SO uncomfortable. But, to be fair, I imagine its pretty overwhelming.
Damn, wish I could've been there! I miss seeing you guys live!
1:30:19 what a moment
This was such a killer show! Incredible experience all around!
Robot rock, baby!
I wonder when they’re going to make Act III and finish the Mega Man trilogy.
