    It’s really hard to drink or eat anything if I remove Stevia long term. I have Diabetes in my family so i avoid sugar as much as possible, but removing even Stevia long term will be painful and really difficult.
    With coffee, tea, and green teas, I need some sweetener. If I can’t even use stevia every day, then it’ll be really hard to live life.

      Great question. Doctors in India recommend removal of the gallbladder if possible laparoscopically. Doctors in the USA recommend to let the sleeping dog lie and go in for surgery only if it becomes absolutely necessary- infection etc. Because most patients will not have this emergency in their life time. The logic of the indian doctors is that if it becomes an emergency situation at old age or after diabetic or other situations arise, it adds to complications operating in that situation.

    Again, very informative video. As for the sugar substitute I use, I occasionally have a Coke Zero (about twice a month), and sometimes use erythritol + monk fruit combo (less than once a month) for cakes and stuff. In general, I try to have reduced sugar (tea with very less sugar, coffee with no sugar etc). It works well for me, but my problem is consistency. But I've managed to keep my weight stable, even though I haven't been very successful in losing more than small amounts of weight. It's still good though.

  • @paulninan7580
    @paulninan7580 9 місяців тому +1

    I think the majority of people who use sweeteners are diabetic patients, and not many people use them to lose weight. Therefore, recommending only for short term is not going to help. Also, the study that Dr Pal mentions at 3:43 only deals with three artificial sweeteners (aspartame, acesulfame-K, and sucralose). I don't think there is any published data linking cancer to naturally derived sweeteners like stevia and monkfruit.

    Hi Dr. Pal, Thanks for your continuous effort to knowledge people about the importance of healthy eating to support their health and longevity. What would be your opinion on the effects of these zero calories natural sweeteners on life gut health? Also, if I am not wrong, as soon as our tongue senses the sweet it sends signals to brain and further communicate pancreas to secrete insulin despite any elevation in blood sugar levels especially with the case of natural or artificial sweetener. Would this lead to any sub cellular pathology and in turn manifest in to chronic metabolic conditions such as diabetes type 2 or any other hyper insulin related syndrome?

    Hi Dr. Pal. Thanks for doing what you do. Can you make a video on where to look up nutritional facts accurately for every food we eat. There's lot of contradiction to what some experts say and what we see on a database like USDA. For example, there are many nutritionists say(on quora, youtube, etc..) that sprouted mung beans have more protein( around 32-36 grams /100 grams) than the unsprouted beans but the info on USDA website shows it as just 3 grams per 100 grams. Sprouts are definitely the best. I just want to know how do we get the accurate or more or less accurate food composition data online. Please make a content about it.

I usually take 2-3 tea spoons daily with my first meal at 11:30- 13:00. What are your thoughts on this? I suffer from Hashimoto and with IF i feel a lot lot better and lost a lot of weight. Really appreciate your honest reviews with respect to all products without any bias on either sides. Avoiding any sort of sugar is the best thing to control obesity for sedentary people, right. I have found that being on a keto diet completely cuts down sugar cravings (as long as we are in ketosis). Is keto diet still harmful if practiced in the long term with adequate precautions like being hydrated and avoiding unhealthy fats?
