Thanks for the video...I'm 64....and still studying Trower. In my very humble opinion, only 2 perfected the GOAT's material....SRV and Trower. RIP Jimi & Stevie, Thank You Robin for continuing....the thing is not finished yet !
High quality guitar driven by Sir Robin Trower... the stratocaster master. Thank you for the post.
Glad you enjoyed it! Please subscribe!
Robin Trower 74 years young @ the time of this recording. One of my favorite guitar players. Still have my pristine “Bridge of Sighs” vinyl record from 1974. 50 years! I was 1 year old when I bought it, + 18.
Have The Lp many times over in my collection. Bridge Of Sighs & Trowers Live lp were the best blues of all time!!! ALL SONGS ARE 5 STAR!!! Good music never dies. 14 thousand lps and 20 thousand cds in my collection from 1956 - 1980 Thank you for your post!!!
Robin Trower In A 1978 Bandit Trans Am At Full Volume Is A Great High!!!
He's a legend who has outlived most of his contemporaries because of his very humble, moderate lifestyle and I admire him for this. His playing has become even better over the last 48-50 yrs I've seen him in concert, right from his early days in South London. He's unique and I wish him many more yrs of playing.
Only BuddyGuy will live forever tho
Not underrated but very much loved and respected for many years by both musicians and fans worldwide. He don't need to go in any stupid hall of fame bollocks either!❤🎉
That place is a joke anyway.
Robin with the same jocular expressions as in 74 when I first saw him in concert.
Had front row seats, middle of the stage, in 1980 at the Tower theatre in Philly....we were ripped out of our minds... Robin was awesome!!!! Oh and the seats were 12 bucks and I still have the ticket stub !!!
The Famous Tower Theater!!!!!
@@seandeal5927 Great Place !!!
Bridge of Sighs, one of my Christmas presents from my hubby when we were dating back in 1975. Still sounds good today.
So good! I'm watching this video now. One artist I would see every time he came to Houston, hope he tours again. Please subscribe!
After all these years Robin Trower still masters the guitar - true talent! One of my first guitar heroes 🎸
Amen
Badass tone from the neck pickup.
One of the true badasses on guitar. If anybody thinks he sounds like jimi they don't listen close enuf
Totally agree Mike , his tone, feel, and style nothing like Hendrix. I get sick of people comparing him.
About 1989 my work colleague Mark, who was a MAD JH fan, and I were chatting about music: I said I was a HUGE Trower fan. He very passionately said he effing HATED RT. Both RT and Mark lived in an English county called Essex and I asked if RT and he were neighbours and if RT had a cat that came and cr*pped in his garden. 'No, he's just a Hendrix copy'. After admitting he hadn't heard ANY of the music and his opinion was from the music press I lent him a cassette with the first three albums on it. 'FAN BL**DY TASTIC' was his reply when he returned it to me. Yes, influences but no NOT a copy. The same tired false accusations still around 20 odd years later when I had a chance conv with two guys on a train who were talking music. So sad that this is STILL the view over here in the UK but commentary I've seen from the US music press is just a distinct Hendrix influence...
You’ve got that right! Too bad the dumb label was attached to Trower. Saw him perform about 6 years ago; omg…so heavy and bluesy, I was in a happy place TRANCE. Great musician. Youngest older brother, had Bridge of Sighs album when it first came out so was exposed to his music when young. Thank goodness for older sibs and their musical tastes.
He was considered if not mistaken the best player after Jimi died.
Jimmy sounds like robin cuz
with a 3 piece Band there is no cover!! bring it or you don't! to walk out there and bear your soul takes alot of guts and a unique overdose of talent. 1974 when "Bridge of Sighs" was released had just made it through High School North of Indy and the FM station Q-95 started playing "Bridge of Sighs". myself and ALL my friends were saying,. "Who the Frank is this"! 1974. Hard to believe. knew that would someday meet him in person and did twice. for all the Trower Fans Worldwide I was lucky and YES, he was a soft spoken and kind man.
For Earth Below....Bridge of Sighs.........
Anthem of the 70s
Robin Trower is 👍
That bass player sounds so much like Drewer ‼️
*Dewar
He's a great professional 👏
Very good singer tonally somewhat like James
Pretty good vocalist not as Soulful as James tho... I like him a much better when he just sings and someone else plays Bass then he's really able to concentrate on vocals
he is good but no where near the low end and the richness of JD there will never be another Davie P got closer imho
The guy singing sounds great. He had some big shoes to fill after the passing of Dewar.
His original singer is gone, but this young man can sing also👍
Great show! Seen him 22 times since '88... Last time was may 16th '19 three weeks after this show in portland, oregon. He played a white strat that night😊
and one hell of a bass man...to learn all the old school tunes...i am really impressed....
in the right hands a Fender Stratocaster can amaze! many miss Jim Dewar. 1976 met him and Robin and Bill Lordan backstage. Cool guys.
I’ve been seeing him since 76. I love Jimmy Dewar still, but Robin is is in his own class. 🌸☮️💕
Saw, photographed and talked to Trower twice! not filling any boots. he has his own!!!
Robin T. is one of the seldom types of stars who do not need blasting shows to play. He has not to hide technic. He just plays and he plays wonderful.
One of the most ironic and is an Actual Living Legend. And, still to this day. Releasing New Music.
RT is the Best
Only see but not observe , hear but don't listen...!
A real master of chords in front of us..a hundread + compositions , thounsands of diferent sounds and tones one after anoter! And still rocking , he won't díe for the ones that knows what this means , a master of chords and excelent sounding guitar player for a Lifetime....see you next September/ october at Boston 2024 , can not miss to see this monster a real legend
"Day of the Eagle." Man, that song is just a killer classic! 👍
The Stoney face of a grandmaster, and the sound of the angels in choir…Strat thru Marshall
He always manages to get powerful sounds out of those strings while also changing the dimension of the sounds.
First time I heard Robin Trower was Bridge Of Sighs, then Long Misty Days. Been listening to his playing ever since.
I was very fortunate to see him around 40 years ago in Richmond, Virginia. Amazing performance!
A LEGEND AND MASTER AT WORK !! I SAW HIM IN CONCERT IN THE EARLY 90s TWICE. WHAT A PRIVLEGE.
I always wish he would play the end of DOTE live. It's so ethereal, magical...moody and colorful
Robin Trower i seen in the 70s and 5 years, ago at House of Blues San Diego . Both great shows live
did not know that you could get that many various sounds out of a guitar. R. T a true bistro
A true testament to the power grace and fire of Robin Trower in all his glory loud blazing and heartfelt the samurai of the stratocaster heals us all with every riff ☆
Amazing guitar player! Just got my Uni-vibe pedal today. Love his sound!
Seen him 3 times and he killed it every time. I just found out he was in Procul Harem back before he went on his own. I’ve been listening to him since the early 70’s.
Jimi is Jimi and Robin is Robin Trower.
If you haven't already listened to the early Procol Harum albums check out the long prog masterpiece called "In Held Twas In I" from their 2nd LP "Shine On Brightly". Robin's playing is utterly astonishing.
Can’t stop watching this, what a sound, top notch player 🎸
I wish he'd tour again! He used to come to Houston every 2 years, but this was his last show here and he hasn't toured since 2019. I hope this isn't the end! He was the one artist I swore to see every time. Just something special about live concerts, especially the full-body loudness and he plays loud!
Please subscribe!
A Amazing talented Artist with such Wonderful guitar playing like no other.....
Hi RT love it man Blues Rock and Roll a fan since 1973 Sharkie International in DC
Got to be the most under rated guitarist of all time. And still going so well in his 70s. Wow.
Right on bro, just listen to him, not everyone can play like that, feel the music 😎
never under rated, just some people never discovered him earlier
Underated is overused, who exactely does the underrating?
Saw him in san jose i think in the same club in '87 and again in '88. Going to see him in October! I can not wait for it. A consumate guitar player
50 years! Been listening to him for 50 fuckin years.
The Old Trout....knows where to tickle his Guitar.
I've been a fan of Robin since the late 60's he always sounds like Robin. His tone and style stand alone, but he says he occasionally uses a lick here and there. But we all do that.
Como siempre Robin trawer un exelente guitarrista los años no pasan en vano ,que buenos recuerdos y buena melodia e pododo escuchar gracias por el video, buena salud Robin
I saw him a half dozen times. And even at The Bratstop in Kenosha Wisconsin. About 3000 people or less. But Milwaukee Arena with thousands three times.
I seen him at Bratstop too in 86. Great small club to see him - First time seeing him 😎
Great concert at the old Kingston Nh fair grounds, Robin, Fog hat, great time
Utterly mind-blowingly Wonderful!! Hadn’t heard RT for years! What a joy and blessing!! Thx so much for the video, AMAZING !!🥲😊 He is an Awsome musician and artist - the bassist isn’t too bad either!!

...Pat who..?
Matheny lol. I must've been drinking that night . But I do love Robin! Bridge of Sighs...Robin!@@christoskoulis1373
@@christoskoulis1373 Davey Pattison.
Davey is pretty good, but this is Dave Bronze and Dave Bronze is even better when he just sings and somebody else plays Bass...
Daves not here, bro.
Truly a guitar god🎸
🤘✌️🤜🤛💯

I missed this show and live in Houston, I so regret it.
Robin was regularly coming to Houston every 2 years, but hasn't toured since Covid! I need my fix! After this show I told myself I would always go see him live, it's so loud and wonderful to here is louder than I can play at home... Please subscribe!
I also have two other Robin shows here:

Nice share
One of the great superb hit of "early" psychedelic sounding
Thanks for uploading. Great concert. Just one suggestion. Keep the camera on Robin at all times & widen the shot to include the singer when he’s singing. Absolutely no need for a closeup of the singer. It’s ROBIN TROWER who everyone wants to focus on. Thanks again. Great sound & incredibly clean video ! ☮️&💟
IM MORE OF A FAN AT 62 then when I was 16 ❤!!! Strange its Like that with KISS too !!!!! ❤GOD❤ BLESS❤YOU❤ALL ❤AMEN❤☆☆☆☆☆☆ROCK ON ❤☆☆☆☆,!!!!

Quando Hendrix deixou este plano diziam que este seria um dos mais próximo do estilo da lacuna deixada com uma similaridade muito idêntica.longa vida grande músico.

Gawd😖...I wish Sir Trower could be my GranDaddy😢
Eastown Theatre Detroit, circa 1972. Procal Harem. I remember.
Funky too Man
Who is the soulful bassist, vocalist? He sounds like mega gnarly, younger missed Scottish James Dewar.
Richard Watts
i have that sunburst fender...but i aint doin all that with it...ha...
That ain’t minting more masters
The very best 2:14
Who are the bass and drummer?
The call....and the answer.....pure blues.....not matured past Hendrix, SRV and Trower.
Who's picking up the reins ?

Missing James Dewar's vocals...
Shame about audio!
wtaf?! this has some of the best audio of any of my recordings... lemme guess, you are watching on a phone? i'm not sure what you indicate is a problem with audio, but it's one of the best.
Robin has four dates at UK...!!
My last chance to see him live, problem is I'm at the very South of Texas... Hope my retirement $$ arrives no longer than March... I will sell my truck and my wife as a bonus, pretty sure the buyer will refuse her so no worries
He used to tour the states every 2 years. Let's see if he starts up again this year. I promised myself to always see him in concert, he just plays loud! Please subscribe! I have two other shows, too!
