i have so many memories about him but the most important ones were not the championships, trophies etc. The most important ones were moments that he was happy to be the coach of Fenerbahçe, the moments that we were showing our love and respect to him and his salutes to us i mean to all the fans, realizing that how he is happy with fans full of arena and respecting his and the team' s effort etc. i could tell you hundreds of these the most precious moments and i would never get bored of telling these, the moments that he is in.

He is a legend of European and world basketball. But he would not succedd in NBA, because there players come first.Not team. And he is the coach that puts the team and team's success above everything. He is 1000% in it. And he ask from his players the same. But boy, if he would be the coach there, if players would actually accepted his was of coaching, that would be legen...wait for it...dary. It would be LEGENDARY. Because the man is a living LEGEND.
I'm not sure I mean, he knows people in NBA. It's a deliberate choice that he was never, even close to be, in NBA. Look at the equivalent of Obradovic in NBA, Phil Jackson. He was softer. Much more soft. An NBA coach cannot yell at his players like Obradovic does. He even cannot complain during press conference, if he dont want to be punished. It's like that in american majors league. That's why coaches from american universities, or from Europe, dont go in these. Maybe Obradovic could succeed in NCAA, where coaches are the superstars of the team. But I highly doubt in NBA.
Most of modern plays in basketball are made in his head, and then applied on court. Most famous play is pick and roll. But his elevator, zoom, pick and pop plays are amazing. Many coaches in todays basketball use them, NBA included.
Noticed there was a slight mistake in the subtitles at around 5:45. The person speaking was saying "no such thing as rationality." It should be mentioned.
Žoc (Željko Obradović)... come back to Partizan to finish his career.... 10th trophy, I have no doubt it will be this year.... and that's it, he is already a legend, but this year is simply the coronation of the king. Žoc is the king of the Basketball.
