He wasn't hurt enough to die, it was the Demon Slayer Mark.

Those final chapters of Demon slayer just had everyone dying for real. In the final battle Muzan quite literally almost singlehandedly killed the Demon Slayer Infantry and only two Hashira survived the final encounter as well. Except for Uzui who didn’t fight in the battle. So technically 3 Hashira survived the whole ordeal.
I know this has already been said but Muzan didn't kill Oyataka-sama(the master). Oyataka-sama blew himself up because the explosion threw Muzan off guard giving Tamayo-sama some time to inject Muzan with the drug
