This is an amazing collective of musicians, playing the greatest songbook in american music, at a top level but Kimock is literally on another level in this run
You do realize that plenty of boomer minded folks thought the world already went to shit in 1999 (and every other decade since Moses wore short pants)?
Always had. It's a shame what happened in late '99. More like unbelievable. I was living in Humboldt at the time so we always still had our fill of KVHW, and SKB but the separation from Phil and Friends mid tour for reasons that seemed petty or not depending on who you talk to. This to me was peak Phil along with a handful of other lineups, including Alpine Valley 2002. But this to me was the high water mark that they kept trying to reach after this run. Respect.
We were definitely spoiled April through July. Mountain Aire with Merl, and Warren. I mean this video and these comments have cracked a rift in my dome of memories. Thank you!
@Christopher Hazard, don't know where you came up with this gem 💎, but it's lovely. A/V quality is awesome!! Thank you again, kind sir, for the post!! ✌️😎🙏
Seeing Donna so happy to be up there again quite literally brings tears to my eyes…

Donna!!!
So good. Best post-Jerry iteration of Grateful Dead music.
Came here to say just this. Had the same thought at the time. Both loose and tight at the same time.
Upgrade! I still have bootleg tapes of these shows. Thanks!
Was there. Best. Birthday. EVER. thx!
I like it when they jam 🏴☠️
tone of a Languedoc as unique and unmistakable as a Bean
Donna ❤
Smoking! Ah the good old days before the world went to shit.

Has anyone else noticed the faces appearing in Trey's pants?
Tremendous! Thanks!

@@brettgreen853 agreed. I went to the two nights at the Warfield 2nd & 3rd July ‘99 and it was stupendous, what a thing they could have had
Yeah I was at the ones in July as well with David Nelson and Billy K., Barry Sless. Those were pretty sick as well. Heady Stuff.
