Socialize them from the day they come home to you. Have them explore the outside world, let the home be filled with music or noise or something that is not completely quiet so they get accustomed to different noises without reacting. Introduce them to people. Have guests come in your home from your puppy's very early age so they get used to people. Leash training and make sure to train them to be neutral in their environment, as they are hunting dogs. They will want to pull a lot to chase after birds, bikes and joggers. Massage their bodies, paws, face so they get accustomed to being touched when grooming. They are highly intelligent, observant and needs a lot of stimulation. If you fail to do the above things, you may end up with an anxious poodle who barks a lot at the slightest noise, anxious in traffic, strangers, pulling on the leash and hunting birds and people on walks. They are very delicate, so socialize them properly as they can get anxiously triggered when exposed to bad experiences. So expose expose expose while young.
By the way this is coming from our own experience as an owner of a two-year old mini. We have worked through his anxiety, and as our breeder and vet says, they are very prone to anxiety due to their history. But other than that they are SUPER LOVING, EXTREMELY SMART & EASY TO TRAIN, VERY LOYAL. The warmth and love they give is just so worth it. We can never picture a world without our pup. 💛💛💛💛

You put intelligence as a “pro” but I would also add that as a 6th “con”. Due to them being intelligent, they need intellectual stimulation, or they get depressed, bored and frustrated. If an owner can not spend the time and effort to provide this, they are better off getting a dog that needs less intellectual stimulation. Many people see “intelligence” as simply something good, but that is not true. Intelligence must be matched to what the owner can provide, just like with energy levels. For example, most people understand that a Siberian husky is a bad match lazy couch potato. Similarly, a bulldog is a bad match for somebody who wants to run and walk 3 hours a day with their dog. The same considerations must be made for intelligence.
Thanks for such a wonderful comment. You are of course correct. Being bored or not exercised enough can actually be the reason to many bad behaviours displayed in dogs so this is important to mention.

Thanks. Check out this video to see her exact measurements and what it means: Is Molly a Toy Poodle? Poodle sizes explained ua-cam.com/video/aI2-OlWDqjM/v-deo.html
It depends on what training you want to do. House training took a week to more or less get right (see our video). Poodles are in general very intelligent so training should go very fast.
I'm hesitant to get a purebred dog, period. They're too specialized for some things and are horribly balanced, especially coupled with all the weird health problems.
I understand. But from everything I have studied poodles have very few issues compared to some pure breeds. Anyway, hope you can find a dog that can become part of your family ❤️
It is nice to add to the family! If your pitbull is generally good with other dogs I can't see a problem. Young puppies get used to situations very quickly and company is always great. Just be careful that toy poodles in particular are very delicate indeed. So if your pitbull likes to "play rough" you will have to be very careful.
Hay thanks for the video. I am actually a little worried about the barking? I want to get a toy or miniature poodle but the walls in my house are thin. Do they really bark a lot and is this sth you can work on ? 🙂

I was thinking about getting a toy poodle but I’m having second thoughts about getting one because they say they Suffer with respiratory infection is that with all poodles and is that true can you please let me know thank you
I have never heard about it, especially compared to snub nosed dogs. Like all breeds there are certain health conditions associated with the breed that are more common. Yet poodles are in general very healthy dogs and can live a long time. It is not something that would stop me getting one. If you have doubts maybe speak to a local vet to see what they suggest? Good luck!
Check out our video on poodle sizes to find out what molly is. Teacup isn't actually an official size. It is smaller than a toy, and they were bred to be as small as possible. Always adorable though no matter the size!
Do not get a poodle if you cannot afford an extra few hundred dollars a month. End of story. If you are time poor, you need to hire a dog walker. You need to buy good food and vitamins, vet appointments, grooming, toys, it all adds up. So yeah toy poodles are definitely a dog for someone who can dedicate a decent amount of $
I would say that the time needed to invest is higher than the cost. Yes they need attention so perhaps a dog walker would be useful, but then in terms of food etc, they are so small that they don't go through it quickly. Definitely more high maintenance than other dogs though.
I have a white toy and a mini they are paradise really.need a love of hugging and kissing.wuiet dogs clean .amazing.smarter than any other dog..border collies are smarter they say..no poodles actually talk.yes my first dog said hello clearly so my mini says it now clearly.my toy tries but not clear yet... 12 yrs old now but people think they are 6 mos.

how many hours do you think a toy poodle could stay alone, without being sad?
4-5 the most. If they potty outside someone needs to let them out at bare minimum every 4 hours .
As said around 4-5 hours they will need to go outside to pee. You can train your dog to be comfortable alone, but if you can get someone to take them outside during the day and maybe for a walk it is best. Luckily they are so cute everyone will want to take them out for you!

Thanks, Molly would be an apricot poodle. She was a little darker when she was a puppy and has become blonder as an adult. Her mother was completely white, and her dad a red poodle, so this is what you get!
Lovely, thank you ! How tall is she please ?
Thanks. Check out this video to see her exact measurements and what it means:

@@MollyToyPoodle Thank you very much♥️
so are they a toy like figures or are they a real dog.
Definitely a real dog. Watch this video to understand the difference between toy poodles and other types: ua-cam.com/video/aI2-OlWDqjM/v-deo.html
Where did you get her?
From a wonderful breeder in Milan. They can be very hard to find though.
How long to take to train?
It depends on what training you want to do. House training took a week to more or less get right (see our video). Poodles are in general very intelligent so training should go very fast.
I'm hesitant to get a purebred dog, period. They're too specialized for some things and are horribly balanced, especially coupled with all the weird health problems.
I understand. But from everything I have studied poodles have very few issues compared to some pure breeds. Anyway, hope you can find a dog that can become part of your family ❤️
How much is this dog
I’m looking to get one and I already have a pitbull she’s very trained and good but young would anyone recommend me not getting him ?
It is nice to add to the family! If your pitbull is generally good with other dogs I can't see a problem. Young puppies get used to situations very quickly and company is always great. Just be careful that toy poodles in particular are very delicate indeed. So if your pitbull likes to "play rough" you will have to be very careful.
Oh please be careful, they are so gentle and delicate. He can scare her !!
Oh I love this kind of pet
Love from Bhutan 🇧🇹
Thanks!
Hay thanks for the video. I am actually a little worried about the barking? I want to get a toy or miniature poodle but the walls in my house are thin. Do they really bark a lot and is this sth you can work on ? 🙂
I've had mine for a week now. No barking so far except a very cute woof when he gets frustrated with
@Angela Richard Hi, is the barking still minimal? We does it tend to happen?
@@Karla-mu6hn when hes all alone he barks and yips to kingdom come until someone he knows comes along. Other than that he gives a little yip when he poops in the wrong place; woofs when hes playing; and another high pitched woof when hes hungry. 3 months old. I take him to work with me so hes hardly ever alone.
How big is this poodle? Height and weight?
See this video all about her size:

i love my cute teddy bear
The cutest ❤️
Please come see our korea poodles~^^

I was thinking about getting a toy poodle but I’m having second thoughts about getting one because they say they Suffer with respiratory infection is that with all poodles and is that true can you please let me know thank you
I have never heard about it, especially compared to snub nosed dogs. Like all breeds there are certain health conditions associated with the breed that are more common. Yet poodles are in general very healthy dogs and can live a long time. It is not something that would stop me getting one. If you have doubts maybe speak to a local vet to see what they suggest? Good luck!
@@MollyToyPoodle Thank you
I love my gracy. Poodles are the best. Mine is a toy.
toy poodle is a perfect dog, except for separation anxiety
I agree 🤗
👍🏾🍷Thanks 4 sharing
They don’t have fur, they have hair, that’s why they don’t shed.
I have just discovered this from another comment. I had no idea. Maybe another video to come to share this knowledge 😊
Want! 😭
Getting another dog helps with separation anxiety. No dog likes to be alone.
X some say toy and some say teacup she’s 4 pounds so is?
You will definitely have to teach me how they learned to talk!!
1:04 to the point.
She’s not a toy poodle hahahaha she’s huge!!!
Poodles have HAIR, not FUR!!
I honestly had no idea there was a difference. Thanks for enlightening me.
I have not seen any thing that would make me
Get another puppy. Maybe a bigger bed they are bed hogs, 😆 🤣 😂
There are 2 things i hate. People who are intollerent of other peoples culture.... and.....
You are handsome
Any dog is not a toy!
He is boring, people want to see toy poodle rather than him
Boring. Applies to all small breeds.
