She also hid her injury for a lot of the BTW Ball from her staff and dancers until she literally couldn't walk hence her "dancing through the pain" it turns into water when she pulls it out as in the last few years she has been on a journey of 'radical acceptance' of her pain (the idea that she accepts she will have good days and bad days with pain but as long as she is alive and breathing and present everything will be okay in the end)
