The steps were too hard for me to manage. I tried several times to walk up to the entrance on different days. Very Steep, Slippery slick rocks to get to the Castle. I was so disappointed I could not tour the castle. A very nice man I met helped me to the entrance and back down. Thank you for this video, that shows me what I missed!! Hopefully, I will have shoes that will grip the rocks, so I will be able to walk up to the castle with more security walking, when I come back. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for your kind words! No, regretfully Caccamo does not run the 1-euro home program but there are many affordable houses that perhaps are a better deal instead of buying a house for 1 euro and then pay more than 100K to restore it.

@@julietevelyn6466 They are both nice villages. Perhaps Caccamo is more "strategic" because it is closer to Cefalù and Palermo. And also closer to the sea. The medieval architecture of Caccamo and its castle are very nice. Last but not least the sausage in Caccamo is unrivalled!
