No one as yet without global enquiry has managed to answer the question of who exactly "THEY" are. It stretches incredulity to imagine that this is an organic movement that sprung up out of a vocal 13% that makes no sense whatsoever since when did the government back and support 13% of people, don't forget police and Fire vehicles have been plastered in rainbow flags, you can't pretend that at that point the government aren't at least in lockstep with bizarre form of ideological extremism!

Those medical professionals who have performed irreversible procedures or prescribed irreversible hormone "treatment" for children need to have their medical licenses revoked and possibly face criminal charges.

Britain may be slowly regaining sanity with respect to trans issues but Canada, under our uber-progressive Liberal Party , has had only the first glimmers of awakening. Two or three of our provincial premiers - the equivalent of American governors - have tried to apply the brakes, ever so gently, but the federal government is steadfastly supporting every aspect of the "woke" agenda. This *may* change after a change of government at the next election in October 2025 but the presumptive new Prime Minister is being careful not to say too much about it for fear of accusations of transphobia that *might* activate the "woke" crowd and their enablers against him. I'm afraid the "woke" nightmare is far from over here, although I welcome every small sign that it will be over before too long.

What social media has done is create a group of people with synchronized opinions, who voice those opinions loudly, but who don't have a grand vision for the society. They don't have a specific, definable goals in mind other than to be "on the right side of history." Whoever spends the most money trying to influence them is who dictates the next cause. The reason the trans-issues are the new cause is because cash was left over after gay marriage was legalized.

Konstantin recounted on Joe Rogan’s podcast how it took Kellie-Jay Keen to open his eyes to the danger of pandering to this obvious lie. He openly admitted to pandering to the lie and(at that time) astoundingly defended his reasons for doing so. I’m thrilled he’s come around to the importance of truth - confounding that it took so long, for someone who’d grown up in the USSR and was well aware of the power of propaganda. Now that he’s making a pretty good living going around busting the lie, it’d be nice if he occasionally gave credit to the woman who edified him.

I have a close friend, a successful, college educated engineer, who argued earnestly with me that gender and sex are essentially meaningless. I knew his mom because we grew up together. I asked if his mom was a woman.
That was the end of the conversation, and we haven't spoken since.

I don't speak to my best friend of 37 yrs over this. Her daughter got caught up and proceeded to drag my niece into this crap and I wasn't having it. We cut off all contact. Today... My niece is a very normal teenage girl. The heartbreak of losing that friendship was worth it.

Reaction is a natural response to an imposition.
If I was 20 years younger and had 'progressive' parents I would've been sent to this conversion therapy because as a child I wanted to be a girl, I liked girly things, I liked the clothes, the hair, the make up the way people would treat girls. Fast forwards 20 years however I'm just a dude who likes to look after himself, who cares about nice clothes etc I even went through an emo-make up period. We used to call this a 'modern man' compared to the more rugged men of previous generations.
I have no issue with a grown adult doing whatever they want even body mutilation but I like many draw a very hard defined line at children, to suggest they're not easily confused and manipulated is itself just an attempt to gaslight people into thinking children are smarter than we all know them not to be.
And I'm the opposite, I accepted and internalized the male identity growing up, and I still ended up with body dysphoria. I had to eschew gender roles before I could accept what's going on.
@@crystalvulpine2314 some people have got gender dysphoria but it's not at the level certain people would suggest, I think what's more likely is gender roles in society becoming so mixed but at the same time 'old fashioned' gender stereotypes being upheld causing confusion. Language has been coopted. Language, like Law, needs to be clear and without obfuscation. The more words are watered down, or meanings multiplied we get confusion and those that wish to capitalize on this confusion.

Here in Brazil there was a deafening outcry over a proposed "Gay Kit" of materials to be used in elementary schools. The idea that small children should be taught about sex and told they could chose their gender was too much for a society general supportive of these groups.
It’s also possible to have “gender dysphoria” in childhood & not be gay.

A term I think we need to use more often when referring to people who support this nonsense is "unprincipled". At bottom we need to support the principles that we know are required to refine our public policy and move society in a direction that improves life. Participating in activist ideologies that deny basic biology is not going to help anyone. Working at shutting down conversation especially on these highly disputed concepts goes against basic principles of free speech and stifles progress. We need to hold all our institutions (professions, higher learning, governments...etc) to western liberal democratic principles....since they don't seem able to do it themselves.

Yup. I was a hard liberal even 3 years ago, saying in my bio i was a genderfluid polyamorous bisexual. Now, i would be called a Terf just because when i want to date a woman, i want a woman, not a man that let his hair grow and wears dresses now and has she/her pronouns in a dating app. Or because i want safety for my two daughters in sports.
I'd like to correct one thing: gender dysphoria is common among adolescent girls, but it is typically TEMPORARY. This isn't hard to understand when you realize how unpleasant it is to start bleeding and to become the recipient of unwanted attention. At that point it starts to feel like you ARE in the wrong body.

That's a good point. Everyone espouses how difficult it is being a woman, to have to bear children and deal with a period. No one wants to talk about the perennial expectation of males to fight and risk serious harm or death for what they believe in. Whether that's for their right to play on the playground, or for their nation as soldiers.

I’m MTF trans as well my T is 0.05 nl/ml lower than any woman’s but in Olympic level in grip strength with basically no training. Treating gender dysphoria is not conversion therapy.
I love the note on this video that actually doesn't disagree with what was stated in the video. Transitioning gender non-conforming children is effectively conversion therapy. Children need to be allowed to grow up and figure out who they are rather than having parents or teachers decide that for them. A very small portion of gender non-conforming individuals have real gender dysphoria, and an even smaller portion have persistent dysphoria that may put transitioning on the table as a way to alleviate it. I think that some of the things I did as a kid would trigger a wokie to think that I might be trans, when in reality I am just a homosexual man, and I am perfectly comfortable with that fact.

How can any biologically female swimmer compete against the Incredible Hulk? Just looking at that body is intimidating. What woman could hope to compete against the Hulk? Size matters with men's upper body strength, endurance, and lung capacity.
I have a trans friend (late 40s). Knew him for 8 years as a gay man, for the last few years she's been a woman. Good for her. But she has decided she doesn't want "reaffirming" surgery. She's comfortable at the point where she is now. She's also had many years to find out where on the gender scale she wants to be, without pressure from outside. I fear that young trans people (or young people who believe they might be trans) are pressured into medical treatments much too quickly nowadays.
There is, after all, an industry behind it. And this industry won't make money if you comfortably spend a few decades figuring out who you really are.
Even the media are playing that game. When you see a documentary about transsexuality, it's always something along the lines of "From feeling in the wrong body all the way to surgery - Ron's story". Media coverage suggests that surgery is the necessary consequence of a non-binary or trans identity. What a dangerous narrative! As if there wasn't more to sex and gender identity than the shape of someone's genitals!
