large single row IMS bearings rarely fail. While not easily serviceable, they also rarely fail. 6 failures reported in 15 year old cars when tens of thousands were sold does not indicate systemic failure. Bore scoring is probably a larger issue.
The Best way to prevent failure is to drive your car regularly, do not let it idle to warm up (drive right away gently), warm it up as quickly as possible, make sure to wring it out once in a while, and do not baby your car.

Hi Brother, thanks for the great content!
Question, is the Cayenne S 2016 reliable? what issues to look out for?

So I'm a little confused how does oil get to the outside of the bearing that you are showing, and is there not a seal on the inside of that bearing

Bearing is inside the IMS shaft, and the outside bearing portion is exposed to the oil in the sump.

@@TopAutomotiveIncDont know why but I was under the impression that one of the causes of IMS failure was engine oil breaking down that seal and infiltrating the sealed bearing

Take it to a EPS shop and they will drill out the case. There is another solution without tearing the engine down........European Parts Solution. I had it done with a lifetime bearing.
