  • I could no longer resist the urge to explore the mountains, so I went up alone over a holiday weekend and hit as many piles as I could find, discovering a few strange and interesting things along the way.
This may become something I do once in a while on this channel, so let me know what you think of the video. We're still working on getting my partner back into the wilderness too, so stay tuned for when we do.

Keep up the great videos, love them all. I think we all love watching the little girl with the great smile and wish her the best, keep us up to date on her, and don't let her risk her health on any adventures. I think she may be, how can I say it? Strong-willed... Always praying for her and wish her the best.

The second mine had what I believe were natural cave pockets. Maybe three in all. Thanks, very entertaining!

Thanks for the cool mine explore. Enjoyed the scenery also and the cool artifacts. Could that have been a hit-and-miss engine at 8:20? I'd enjoy both solo and dual explores. I always enjoy your videos and both would be great. Looking forward to video with the climber girl.

and Yeah !!! You're gonna get wet !!!!! ( mine #2 ) the reason you are seeing drill holes is the dynamite ( 3 to 5 sticks ) is at the back of the hole ( 6 feet deep ) and when rock is hard is will only break the rock near the blast ....leaving the entrance hole where the working face use to be . that looks like a shear zone ( fault ) zone where a small cave pocket is ... you are seeing replacement deposits of Limonite ...Gold can be associated with it .... would pull samples , crush , screen and pan it out to check for values ... the air tank is called an accumulator ...it hold additional air for the jackleg drills..... large pipe for compressed air for the drills , small pipe for water for the water flush drills ....( mine#3 ) they would use a skip to hoist up to the aerial tram ... be careful exploring alone ....barrels in the ground probably cyanide leaching

I think they loaded all the holes but the way the rock fractured made it take out the back of the holes, but not the front, very peculiar

You never know what you’ll find out in the middle of the forest. Could be something spectacular or something really awesome. Looks like you found some really awesome mines!!!

The noises were tripping you out because you didn't have your bodyguard to protect you 💪 I'm guessing it was a gold they were after? Would be cool to see down the winze with the pipe, looks like they took a lot of material out, might be a few different levels.

Haha, you're absolutely right! I'm simply not as safe without her up there with me. I agree, there could very likely be levels down that shaft. What a wild layout though.

We try to protect the sites we visit by changing names and such. I can tell you that this was in the American Rockies.

@@RustandDustExploration I believe 99% of the public aren't smart enough to Google a GPS location then find it or get up off the couch to hike up a mountain, for that 1% that make it they earned it , that's my 2 cents. 😃

@@ExploringCabinsandMines I get what you're saying. I can tell you, though, that mines we have posted videos from on this channel are now permanently closed because other people later posted a video using the actual name. It's pretty common, and most channels in this space are all too familiar with it. If local governments weren't wasting money on superfluous mine closures, we would definitely be more open with people about it.

@@RustandDustExploration I've seen bat gates in California but I'm not aware of any mine closures in Washington St where I live . PS check out my mine videos.
