Thank you so much. I just used your method with mod podge , metallic acrylic paint, water and I added glitter to my paints they turned out BEAUTIFUL I ALREADY HAD 2 offers to buy them and it was my VERY FIRST TIME EVER DOING A PAINT POURING.❤️❤️🤗
I’m trying to do the add glitter over the paint. I saw a beautiful pour at my dentist office and trying to replicate it . Was trying to find a way to add glass glitter it’s gold and beautiful. Hope i don’t fail
Yes, Betty, I Totally Agree! And I too happen to have quite a bit of MOD PODGE, So I am VERY EXCITED TO GET MIXING AND POURING LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON! 😀
I appreciate how you explained your creative process while providing the rationale behind the decisions you make. As someone who is very interested in acrylic pouring but hasn’t tried it yet this series is very helpful! You are an excellent teacher, thank you!!
I received the wrong type of Elmer’s it was Elmer’s clear glue a waste of money but I can’t jus throw it away I tried mixing it with the paint 🎨 it didn’t set right 🤦🏽♀️
Thank you so much for filming these tutorials. You are a true inspiration. I can't draw a straight line so this type of art really appeals to me as it may be something I can try.
Thank you! The REASONING was the thing I was missing when I first started. It seemed everyone I watched just followed a recipe but couldn’t explain it. And if you can’t explain what’s happening then it’s hard to understand your own ‘mistakes’ when they happen. I need to be able to figure things out and assumed there were others that would find it useful as well. I’m glad this was helpful for you!
I make multiple products with my pour paint. I make paintings, Christmas ornaments, necklace pendants and earrings. I use the drippings from my ornaments to make the jewelry. I highly recommend. Anyway, I use glue all and never thought to pre-mix my glue medium. I’m def going to have to try that.
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I’ve watched tons of others and could never figure out my glueall to paint consistency ~ now it’s almost 1am and I’m headed to try one with your tips. Keep up the great videos and beautiful paintings. 💫
Thank you for these tutorials. Out of all I have watched, yours is the most comprehensive and easy to follow. I am a novice and have taken your advice. Today I do my first ever pours😊
Thank you for sharing this video, this is my first time using modpoge & it's taken me forever to find a video that shows how to mix it & I finally found yours,Thank you so much, you helped me out slot.
I will try your mix as I don't like using silicone. I try not to waste paint either. When I use craft paint and it all won't come out, I cut the bottle in half with scissors and I can scrape it all out.
Brenda Martin I do use silicone as well but this tutorial was just how I mix the pouring medium. In the ‘how to mix your paint’ tutorial I show the ratios and the silicone being added. You don’t have to use silicone but I find it helps me get more cells.
You are the most considerate painter , I have found, and I will try this , I at first bought Flo troll, and Silicon but I tried to make cells and never did, I spent a lot for the products, I must of did something wrong, used all the product up, with no results . and yes I am new, but on a senior citizen budget, and yes I watched a lot of videos, you are the best in really explaining .
Thank you for this. I'm just dipping my toe into the waters of pouring. I have used Mod Podge forever, and am anxious to try this! Paint pouring doesn't have to be expensive. :)
you were talking about not wasting any paint or glue. I probably have you beat on that one. I am new at this so excuse any "faux pau" I've been using gallon cans of wite and black paint for my backgrounds. After I had it all poured up into smaller containers so that I can easily pick it up. Here's the funny part, I added water to both cans, not a lot but some, so now I have "black" water and "white" water so that I don't lose anything.
Thanks Megan for you to share your recipe. In France it's difficult to find your Elmer glue. But there're some other brands that works. Personnaly my favorite PVA glue is from the brand APLI. And it's not expensive, surely one of the cheapest. The price is between 3,5 and 5 euros/liter. Another brand is "Cléopatre", a little more expensive. But cheaper than liquitex pouring medium and floetrol. I can find floetrol here but not the one with latex base. It's expensive, about 15 euros/liter. For silicone, we can find spray from different brands. In the chain of stores "Action" you can get the brand "Techno" . A spray of 400 ml cost less than 2 euros, very cheap. But it doesn't work as well as your "treadmill belt". I've order silicone treadmill belt via amazon. It's the first time I've found it possible to order in France. It's manufactured in the USA by "Essential values" and it's 100% silicone. We can find dimeticone (= PDMS = polydimethylsiloxane) in a 100% concentration in a eyelotion named "ophtasiloxane" but it's expensive. You can find asociation of differents silicone molecules in cosmetics, especially hair serum "anti-frizz. Yes! I’ve heard many people from Europe and overseas in general having a hard time finding the right supplies. Though, I’d be careful using just regular white glue - I use the Elmer’s glue-all or the Modpodge because it has better bonding agents. Regular what glue has been known to crack terribly. I hope you have much luck finding what you need. I think there are s few UA-camrs from Europe, specifically, that may have lists of supplies but I can’t think of them off the top of my head. If I get a chance today I’ll look them up and see if I can find something for you!
I've heard of people using coconut milk hair serum, it's a coconut oil based hair serum, was thinking about giving it a try because I just so happen to have some. I have mod podge to though and this is the first time I've seen someone use glue for pouring. Awesome, I have the supplies..... just not something to pour on, maybe I'll use a wooden board I have plenty of those.
Ruth Maxwell my very first pour I did I didn’t have glue or modge podge but I had tacky glue so i tried it. It worked!! It didn’t crack and it’s been dried for over a week.
Great that you share! I bought samples of acrylic from hardware store to try too!!! I am 74 had 8 kids and never never stopped being creative just to defy everyone who thought I would not be able to do a thing over than nurse and nurtureLOL I have a great physician hubby who did 50 percent of everything and worked so I think he did 100 and me 50 of our household chores and raising kids When to work at age 65 long story running his practice until he retired. I have sold paintings etc but the family came first I am drawing painting and enjoying myself learning bought all the ingredients for pouring just waiting for the torch!!!! I have tons of supplies in my studio! I have gotten antisocial not caring if I sell or promote myself it takes time away from producing. I am excited to try all of these methods I wonder what you think about samoples valspar from lowes?
thanks for sharing Maigan. I have had cracking with other mix and didn't know why, so that is good to know thanks. I can't get Elmers in New Zealand, but we do have Modge Podge so going to try that. thanks again :)
FINALLY, someone is bringing very clear instructions on how to mix the medium for the pours.. As a very NEW beginner into this style of painting, I was overwhelmed by the many videos on the subject and not many tell you how to begin etc.. Too many artists tell you to get 'floetrol' for your medium etc, but, when one is on a very tight budget and cant afford to get the expensive brands, so one has to use what you can get.. I live in Australia and most these expensive brands are not available here, so I have learnt to buy cheaper brands for my pours.. Tell me, what sort of water do you use, as my water here is 'lime' based and very hard to use.. Thank you again for you videos, I have subscribed and am looking forward to the next part of your instructions..
Aww thank you so much for the wonderful comment - when I did these tutorials the goal was to un-muddle some of the information out there because I felt lost. And, as an artist, I knew if I felt lost, others likely did too. As for water, I use plain old tap water. We’ve lived in a few different cities now and I’ve never had an issue with any of it. :)
When I do my chain pull painting I don’t actually pour the base paint . I don’t like to waste paint so I just paint a thick on the canvas and it does really well ..
Hi Deborah! Thanks for watching! I don’t prime my canvas. Some people do as a preference but ‘white’ canvas is already pre-primed. If you’re looking to further prime your canvas, a lot of artists use gesso. I sometimes pour a mixture of white paint across the canvas before I pour so it flows a bit better but I don’t always opt to do this. I hope this helped!
Thank You I thought I was the only one who liked air bubbles and texture I hit subscribe when You said that do you varnish the finished work what do You use
I’ve tried a variety of products from sprays to brush on - I prefer a brush on varnish. As long as it’s non-yellowing and meant as a protective sealant there are TONS of options to choose from. Krylon makes a few spray sealants - not sure if they make a brush on version or not. I’m going to be rounding up some supplies soon to do a tutorial on this very thing because it gets asked a lot!
Thank you so much for explaining what the pouring medium is. I have never done this before and am watching so many tutorials before starting, gathering my materials and getting ready to have some fun. Your explanation was very informative.
You my dear, are the, ‘All in One!’ Your creativity, your incredibly great style, your flawless presentation, your patience in sharing how & why you do what! Fantabulous you are. Thank you ☺️ 💖
I nave not done any pouring yet, something easy like the glue or mod podge medium and the big thing is I don't want cells. Can you tell me how to do it?
Hi Cathy! If you don’t want cells then definitely don’t add any silicone oils to your mix. You may still get some cell-like spots as the air bubbles come up through the paint. The best way to avoid that is to let your paints and pouring medium sit overnight - covered and undisturbed as the air bubbles make their way out. You may still end up with SOME cells but not nearly as many :)
You should be able to store it for quite a while as long as it’s well sealed so limited air can get to it. In a contained you may eventually have to peel a film off the surface but the stuff underneath should still be good to use :)
Thank you so very much - you've answered much of what I needed to get going. I have been surfing all the wonderful videos on UA-cam and just didn't get the basics which you provided today.
The only question I have is this: when you were pouring the modge. Podge. into the glass jar, I thought I saw little lumps pouring out. If that’s what happened, do the lumps desolve themselves? Or do I need to shake the jar more?
If you find lumps in your glue or paint I would try to scoop them out. They’re usually bits that have started to dry and won’t dissolve further generally.
If you keep the pouring medium covered it should last quite some time. If you find that it starts to get a film overtop just remove the film - the stuff underneath will still be fine 🙂
Can I use paint (acrylic)that comes from a tube as opposed to a bottle, and if so what would my measurements be… I was given a lot of acrylic Paint for Christmas, but in tubes
Hi there! Thanks for watching! I can’t exactly say for certain how long pouring medium like this would last covered as I’ve never had to store it for long (I go through a lot of it!) but if it was stored properly I imagine it would last for a while. The biggest thing you’d be fighting is the air touching the surface and causing a film. You might be able to get away with removing the film and still using the rest though. I would just make sure it’s sealed really well.
This is exactly the mixing tutorial I'd been looking for. I've been wanting to use Mod Podge but couldn't find a video or Pinterest recipe that showed it the way that you did. I do have a question regarding the type of Mod Podge used. I was wondering if it would be okay to use Mod Podge-Sparkle? I just like the sparkle effect of it and it doesn't have the chunky consistency of the M.P.-Glitter. In your opinion do you think that it would work? Thank you...I'm also a new subscriber because of this video. Now to watch Part 2 of this series.
Oh that would be neat! I’ve never tried it but if the only difference is that it has a sparkle to it then I don’t see why not! You have me super curious about this now! Lol! Now that we live in a bigger city I’ll have to see if I can find it and give it a try! How cool! Good luck with your attempt!
I know they have it at Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart. I bought mine from HL and used the 40% off coupon. I'd love to see a video if you decide to try it. Thnx for the inspiration.
Before I add water I put the water into the container of pva I just emptied and you would be surprised how much left in there that you get out. Shake it a few times, and even leave it overnight and the water comes out very milky with the leftover pva. I love to get my moneys worth on everything!!!💲💲💲💲
Thanks for another great video Maigan. Can I ask you the ratio of paint to pouring medium and if you use silicone. I will try this recipe and see how it works for me. Thanks
Carole Bonneau My paint mix is actually the next tutorial coming up but just a quick rundown - I mix 2/3 paint with 1/3 of my pouring medium and add a teensy bit of water at a time as needed. I do use silicone. I have a 16% silicone and I also have a 100% silicone oil - the 100% silicone I use 2-3 drops per colour except for the base colours (usually black or white).
thanx for the demo. i've been trying to stick close (but not exactly) to your recipe of 2/3 glue, 1/3 water, then 2/3 paint, 1/3 medium & 3-5 drops of liquid wrench. i haven't been getting too many cells. i have used glue all before and i forgot if i had good results or not. now i'm using elmer's school glue. i wonder if i'm not getting cells because it's school glue and not glue all. or maybe it's because i'm using liquid wrench and not treadmill lubricant. i've tried floetrol, but since glue all is non-toxic i'd prefer to use glue-all. also, i've seen some recipes with rubbing alcohol. will you please comment on these issues? thanks.
Surbhi Mishra .... yes you can I have had mine stored for months.... just keep your lids and top of the jar free from solution as it will stick and you’ll never get it undone again ...
Hi I'm new in pouring I've tried 2 which I liked as a beginner, but I don't get cells, I use luquitex medium, and I even think my mix is not liquid enough to pour so I had to put a lot of medium which I think it's a lot (half bottle of 945 ml) for one pic. Can you help me what I'm doing wrong , thank you
Hi Maragaret! I also have another tutorial about how to mix your paints as far as ratio and how much silicone to add that you may also find helpful. Half a bottle of pouring medium for one painting seems excessive and the liquitex medium is also expensive. Try applying the ratios in this tutorial and see what happens! ua-cam.com/video/RTNRuR9zIgo/v-deo.html
Hi Shallah! I haven't - I HAVE noticed that in the winter months here (Canada) everything is quite a bit thicker than the summer so I can see how warmer water would also help in wintertime if I find it too thick. Thank you! :)
So, just asking, since you had Elmer's glue and Modge Podge, but only mixed the Modge Podge, does that mean that Elmer's and Modge Podge are interchangeable to be used as a pouting medium, and basically the same , as for effects and mixing and results? Thanks :)
Yes, Elmer’s glue -all and modge podge have similar bonding properties which help keep your paints from cracking as they dry. (If you use the Elmer’s it HAS to be the glue-all as regular white school glue won’t do the trick.)
The mediums can sometimes also induce cells though I’ve never had luck with just straight medium - I’ve always included a couple drops of silicone oil. But the medium is more to thin the paint so it moves but also to help it dry properly without cracking. Straight glue will make it crack as it dries. The glue-all or Mod Podge with water mix adds the balance so the cracking doesn’t happen.
The bottle says Mod Podge - I have a terrible habit of calling it Modge Podge lol! And when I think of it I think of Hedgehogs 😂 An Artists brain is a strange and quirky place lol!
Absolutely! The difference is, though, that the house paint will be much thinner so won’t require quite as much pouring medium. The ratios will need to be adjusted. It does require pouring medium though so it doesn’t crack as it dries.
Good day, love our videos They're cool and informative. Pls tell, did I miss something? I only daw your mixing of glue and water? Or did you put in mospodge to?
Hi there! Thanks for watching! You can either use Elmer’s glue-all OR Mod Podge. They have similar bonding agents so using one or the other is fine. No need to use both. Hope that helps.
You could let your pouring medium sit (covered) overnight to naturally let some of the bubbles out/pop. I actually like the bubbles so I've never tried to avoid them. I do torch my paintings in order to coach some more cell formations but it also helps pop some of the air bubbles.
Maigan Lynn Coach air bubbles! Love it! ❤️ (Like “Puff out that oxygen!” “Stretch! Stretch!”?😜) Or coax? (flaming torch hissing, me: “Heeeeere, bubbles, bubbles, niiiiiice bubbles” hsssshfwap hsssshfwap bubbles popping, scorching my eyebrows). I use both coaching and coaxing methods, although I’ve also recently tried aggravation technique, using a straw to *make* bubbles...flow paint a little too flowing. Love your channel, thank you so much for your help!! I’ll get one right someday, but I’m having fun meanwhile!
I’ve been wanting to try this pouring but have read so many conflicting videos ,I’m so confused. You showed us modpudge mix is glue the same? Thank you
The Mod Podge and Elmer’s Glue-All are interchangeable. If you can’t find one you can use the other. But it has to be the glue-all, not just regular school glue as the bonding agents are different.
I applied gold leaf over acrylic pour ( made of acrylic paint water and white glue)using deli white glue. After completely drying them Varnished them too. But after few days gold leaf started to fade away and left a green color where i applied gold leaf. Why is it happening and what could be done. Please help
Sorry if you covered this and I missed it but how long will the pouring medium last in a closed container? Can I make a large batch that will keep just as well as a smaller one? Sorry, I'm very new to painting and definitely not an artist but it's fun. I have watched countless videos on pouring and you are one of the easiest ones to watch and understand for a beginner so thank you.
Sorry - I meant to get to you sooner but we’re in the thick of getting our house ready to sell! I’ve made large batches of the pouring medium and as long as it’s sealed it should last quite a while. If you’re anything like me though you’ll go through it quick so you won’t have to worry about it keeping lol
If it’s well sealed they should last quite some time. I go through a lot so I’ve never had any just sit. You may have to peel a film off the top before next use but the stuff underneath should be ok!
Yes, very different. Elmer’s glue-all has a better bonding capability when mixed with the water and the paints. The regular school glue is more likely to cause cracking in your painting as it dries. Glue-all and Mod Podge are interchangeable though.
Floetrol is used as a pouring medium - there is a variety of options available as far as pouring mediums go. It’s the piece of the puzzle that helps thin the paint while still maintaining the proper bond structure to help avoid cracks and whatnot while drying.
How much did they offer/sell for? If you dont mind me asking
$40 for a small one I can’t remember the actual size but she put them in her bathroom. She bought 2
Aww that’s very exciting - congratulations! 🥰
I’m trying to do the add glitter over the paint. I saw a beautiful pour at my dentist office and trying to replicate it . Was trying to find a way to add glass glitter it’s gold and beautiful. Hope i don’t fail

I think for the chain pulls a lot of people do it that too. :)
Hi, great tutorial but can you tell me, do you prime your canvases before pouring and if so, what with? Thanks
I’m going to be rounding up some supplies soon to do a tutorial on this very thing because it gets asked a lot!
pretty cool
Could you rinse the modpodge container with the water to use it all?
Heidi Johnson ... that’s what I would do .. lol .. I am very thrifty ..
Thank you so much for explaining what the pouring medium is. I have never done this before and am watching so many tutorials before starting, gathering my materials and getting ready to have some fun. Your explanation was very informative.
Thanks for the tip!!! I'm on to the second part
Love the process you have explained . Can we store it ? and for how long?
You should be able to store it for quite a while as long as it’s well sealed so limited air can get to it. In a contained you may eventually have to peel a film off the surface but the stuff underneath should still be good to use :)
Thank you so very much - you've answered much of what I needed to get going. I have been surfing all the wonderful videos on UA-cam and just didn't get the basics which you provided today.
I’m so glad! That was the whole purpose behind these videos because I was once also in your shoes lol! Thank you for watching! ❤️
Nice focused tutorial. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing!
Is that two thirds cup mod podge and one third cup water
Yes it is :)
Have you done the #2 video?
Humor -informative-enjoyed seeing rather than just reading how to do pouring medium. I had wrong glue - right Modge Podge.
Maigan Lynn thank you!
Thank you
To get it all the glue, paint or whatever...I use a cheap spatula...works great
Great idea! 🙂
Thank you Megan Lynn... My mom taught me with many different items...like Maynaise, mustard....ECT.. Not to waste...lol
Hi there, in this video you have explained so many things and so nicely. Thank you so much 😊 for how many days I can keep this pouring medium?
If you keep the pouring medium covered it should last quite some time. If you find that it starts to get a film overtop just remove the film - the stuff underneath will still be fine 🙂
Can I use paint (acrylic)that comes from a tube as opposed to a bottle, and if so what would my measurements be… I was given a lot of acrylic Paint for Christmas, but in tubes
Thank you for taking the time to make and explain how to create medium.
I have a question, how long this last well covered??
@@MaiganLynn that you for the advice
want to try this can this work with string pulling ?
What on earth is MODPODGE, never saw anything like it in Sweden?
It’s like a specialty glue for art and craft projects. I know some things aren’t available everywhere. This is something we have in North America.
very good tutorial,thankx for sharing
Thank you for watching! 🙂
Very relaxing to watch :)
So do you just add that into your white or all the colors?
Very helpful video, thank you.
Thank you!
CFR Andre You’re welcome 😊
Thank you😊
Thankyou. Was very useful ✨
thanx for the demo. i've been trying to stick close (but not exactly) to your recipe of 2/3 glue, 1/3 water, then 2/3 paint, 1/3 medium & 3-5 drops of liquid wrench. i haven't been getting too many cells. i have used glue all before and i forgot if i had good results or not. now i'm using elmer's school glue. i wonder if i'm not getting cells because it's school glue and not glue all. or maybe it's because i'm using liquid wrench and not treadmill lubricant. i've tried floetrol, but since glue all is non-toxic i'd prefer to use glue-all. also, i've seen some recipes with rubbing alcohol. will you please comment on these issues? thanks.
Which type of paint r u using ......acrylic colour?????
Hey Maigan..Thank you for helping with the process :)
I have a query...Can we make the pouring medium and store it for later use ?
Surbhi Mishra .... yes you can I have had mine stored for months.... just keep your lids and top of the jar free from solution as it will stick and you’ll never get it undone again ...
Do you this recipe w/ all or most pour painting?
I tought ModPodge is just watered down Elmers Glue. (Watered down PVA)
Not entirely sure of it’s make up but I know the Mod Podge and the glue-all don’t crack while drying like the PVA does.
Thank you for your information. Wil this glue and water mix give you any cells? I dont always want some cells in my work.
I don’t think the glue and water on it’s own would give you many cells. I add in silicone for the cells.
@@MaiganLynn thank you so much for your help I will watch it and try it
Using an old cooking spatula works best for getting the last bit .
Once the medium is made what ratio paint to medium please.
Hello
How many Oz is the mixing canister you are using please?
Have you ever tried warm water to get better mixing?
@@MaiganLynn THANK YOU :) X
So I had a a question mod podge glue and water will make the medium to make the cells come out
The mediums can sometimes also induce cells though I’ve never had luck with just straight medium - I’ve always included a couple drops of silicone oil. But the medium is more to thin the paint so it moves but also to help it dry properly without cracking. Straight glue will make it crack as it dries. The glue-all or Mod Podge with water mix adds the balance so the cracking doesn’t happen.
@@MaiganLynn thank uuuu
Great video simply explained 😁
Can we use fevicol glue?
What does the bottle say on Modge Pod, or did I not spell it correctly or did I hear the name wrong...? t/you Barb
The bottle says Mod Podge - I have a terrible habit of calling it Modge Podge lol! And when I think of it I think of Hedgehogs 😂 An Artists brain is a strange and quirky place lol!
Great video
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Can I use latex interior house paint. I want to match my newly painted room. Can I mix that with cheap craft paints?
Absolutely! The difference is, though, that the house paint will be much thinner so won’t require quite as much pouring medium. The ratios will need to be adjusted. It does require pouring medium though so it doesn’t crack as it dries.
Hello! What is the difference between mod podge and glue all? Thank you.
Good day, love our videos
They're cool and informative.
@@MaiganLynn thank you for your speedy reply. 😊 I think I'll go for the glue first. Tank you once again
Good info. How to avoid bubble formation ?
You could let your pouring medium sit (covered) overnight to naturally let some of the bubbles out/pop. I actually like the bubbles so I've never tried to avoid them. I do torch my paintings in order to coach some more cell formations but it also helps pop some of the air bubbles.
Maigan Lynn Coach air bubbles! Love it! ❤️ (Like “Puff out that oxygen!” “Stretch! Stretch!”?😜)
Or coax? (flaming torch hissing, me: “Heeeeere, bubbles, bubbles, niiiiiice bubbles” hsssshfwap hsssshfwap bubbles popping, scorching my eyebrows). I use both coaching and coaxing methods, although I’ve also recently tried aggravation technique, using a straw to *make* bubbles...flow paint a little too flowing. Love your channel, thank you so much for your help!! I’ll get one right someday, but I’m having fun meanwhile!
Is process exactly same if i were to choose glue all instead of modge podge? Sorry if youve answered this
Maigan. You said that the Elmer's and the Modge Podge are interchangeable... so I'm assuming you can mix them?
I don’t see why not 🙂
I’ve been wanting to try this pouring but have read so many conflicting videos ,I’m so confused.
Maigan Lynn no worries. Thank you for responding!
For how long can I leave the mixing in the container?
If it’s well sealed they should last quite some time. I go through a lot so I’ve never had any just sit. You may have to peel a film off the top before next use but the stuff underneath should be ok!
Will elmers glue all be different to using elmers school glue?
Yes, very different. Elmer’s glue-all has a better bonding capability when mixed with the water and the paints. The regular school glue is more likely to cause cracking in your painting as it dries. Glue-all and Mod Podge are interchangeable though.
10:14 Thanks I'm going to try this
I will be using the mod podge instead of floetrol or liquitex.
It’s by far my preferred method and much more cost effective. I can’t wait to set up my art space so I can get busy painting again!
Can you do 1/3 modgepodge and 1/3 glue all?
There is no " MODGE podge"...😋😘🤗
I don’t see why not - they’re interchangeable. It’s just cost and personal preference really.
Can I use just Mod Podge without Elmers glue? (because it’s hardly possible to find it in Vietnam)
Thank you!
You can use different things like oil , baby oil cooking oil etc. Just UA-cam acrylic poring etc.
Has anyone ever tried the clear Elmers glue. Why use glue all??
I'm very new at this so I'm still a bit confused. Is a pouring medium different from floetrol?
No
Floetrol is used as a pouring medium - there is a variety of options available as far as pouring mediums go. It’s the piece of the puzzle that helps thin the paint while still maintaining the proper bond structure to help avoid cracks and whatnot while drying.
Hi Maigan, can I also use this pouring medium option on wood or is this more for canvas?
Do you use just plain tap water?
