Oak Island Vacation (2024)
We love vacationing at Oak Island, North Carolina. It's one of our favorite spots and one of our favorite beach towns to visit. I used to go there in the late 80s and 90s, and now I bring my family to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. This year, we stayed on the Caswell Beach side of Oak Island in a place we stayed two years ago.
Where is Oak Island
Oak Island is located in on the NC coast in Brunswick County, United States. Part of what they call Brunswick Islands is a small beach town that is laid back. It is one of my favorite NC beaches.
Although Oak Island is laid back, there are many things to do here such as fishing, golf, laying out by the ocean, shopping, dining, looking for shark teeth, or exploring the island. There is also the Oak Island lighthouse that you can check out and on certain days they have tours. Visitors may want to check the schedule to find out if the date aligns with your beach vacation.
About this Video
In this Oak Island NC vacation vlog, I'll show you around the neighborhood and give you a tour of the house we stayed in. We'll visit some of our favorite places to eat in nearby Southport, NC, and share moments of us hanging out by the pool and on the beautiful Caswell Beach. I'll also talk about my recovery from back surgery on May 25 and share the ups and downs of my rehab journey.
