My theory is that they don't try to copy the juice itself. Most likely they buy the real frag in batches, dilute it with water for quantity and pour in the fake bottles. That's why the DNA is identical.
I doubt crooks pay for more than a few authentics, if you dilute the authentic juice you really need a lot of it in order to fill the hundred of thousands of fakes on the market. They clone the juice and use cheap replacements, that is the way it's done.
@@dk-sky3820 There are machines that can perform "reverse engineering", wich means breaking down a composition into in parts, so they know what it contains and compose themselves the juice, the cheap way of course, they are interested in maximum of profit, not quality.

And thank you for staying vigilant and helping us recognizing the fakes. I had original Versace Eau de Fraiche, and then another bottle. The juice in the second one has become unusable with time - at first I thought it went stale, but now I suspect it was a fake too. I'm about to buy 3 different fragrances. In my country it's easy to catch a fake even from the official retailers here (no joke). I've found a video on each of them on your channel - thank you for them, it will help to make a right purchase.

My profumo is equal to the original described in the video, but the aluminum plate on the bottom of the glass just dropped overtime (perhaps to bad quality glue), I'm not sure if this is normal
The bottom part ahould not come off easily. I never heard of that. It could be due to some bad storage conditions, high temperature, humidity ... I can not know what triggered the bottom to unstick. If you bought it from a trusted seller you should not worry, it is authentic.
For the fakes getting better and better it's all thanks to you all that do in depth videos in detail on what is wrong. If people want REAL or Orginal then just go to the fucking store and buy it... If a fragrance is expensive then save money, if the same fragrance is super cheap or on sale online more than likely it is fake... Too good o be true
Don't think it's because of me fakes get better and better. It's not how it works. As for people that want authentic fragrances you don't need to go the shop, you can always find individual sellers or online websites. Anyone is free to buy from wherever they want. I'm not doing the crooks any favour presenting the fakes in comparison to the authentics.

For instance Acqua Di Gio parfumo is 127,90€ for the 125ml or 4.2oz when this particular fragrance hardly ever goes on sale. My friend purchased a 125ml from an online shop a few days ago, which has credible reviews ( probably fake reviews) I told him to just drive with me today to pick it up cause it's probably fake... Anyway he received his package earlier this morning and lord behold it is a fake... A very good one at that... They messed up the lettering on the bottom of the bottle other than that it was a very deceiving fake....
+MrTomkat030 Any feedback is good. The thing is that the people who counterfeit fragrances have their own agenda. They have the authentics next to them when they start copying/faking them. No need for them to watch UA-cam to see how it should be done. Fakes in general tend to become closer and closer to the original, regardless if it is a fragrance or smart phone, clothing, jewelry, etc. Piracy will always exist, it is a good thing to watch out and knowing how to spot the fakes.
Carpe Diem I did over cook some of my first fake series videos but my newest ones are shorter. All of these videos have time stamps in their description so that always helps with browsing through the chapters of each video

This is helpful. Ordered Acqua di gio profumo tester for $40 and by smell alone, I could tell it was fake. This helped me to find other evidence and I am grateful.
Mine matches 100% everything you showed was identical including the letters on the front. I got it for $45 on ebay the same 2.5 oz bottle is $98 at macys.

For the real ones, the center line of GA on magnetic cap could either settle perpendicular to the logo on bottle for some bottles or it could settle parallel (Inline with the bottles shoulders) for other bottles. But no other than the two ways.

No mistaking the bottle on the right was a rip-off, I hope it makes people aware of their genuine _Acqua Di Gio_ like it did with me! 👍💯😎 Just to add, that the rip-off fake will have very poor sillage, very poor projection and very poor longevity. I can not know if you have a fake or not. Of the pharmacy is well known it should not sell fakes. Take into consideration that fragrances go through aesthetic changes with time, so letters could be printed in other ways than the way the fragrance initially came out when it was launched. Profumo is no longer manufactured, it has been discontinued from what I know.
I recently bought this fragrance online and received it today. My box, bottle and fragrance itself all seem 100% genuine. The batch codes tells me that the manufacture date is August 2021. The only difference between mine and the real bottle in this video is that the Acqua di gio text on the front of the bottle itself is silver but not shiny. I have no reason to doubt this product that I have though so maybe just the text is not shiny anymore on the bottles?
I bought a 0.75 ml and it have a white writing, it’s not shiny and the cap bottle doesnt have magnet. But the orher thing like the bottle in the light gets translucent, the thr finish of the bottle feels good and like in your video, it has a batch number like the one in the review. I dont have reasons to think isnt genuine. It’s possible like in 5 years period, since you’ve made this video, they change some things on the recipient like that?

The only thing that didn’t match up for me was that the cap wouldn’t come off when turning it in any direction, otherwise everything matched up w the authentic aqua de gio.
I did not understand what you asked. Profumo has testers that are made by the manufacturer, those are authentic. There are fakes on the market, some look like the authentic and others are sold as "testers" but they are still fakes.
On my bottle the bottom has no silver bottom and the cap isn’t fully perpendicular but it’s transparent like the real one and the atomizer is just like the real one. I’m not sure if it’s fake as this is supposed to be a long lasting fragrance but only lasts about 4-5 hours.
Check my batch 12:00 , it has the letter M in it. That should be 2015. Mine had a magnetic cap. I don't know about other batches. If Armani decided to have non magnetic caps in 2015 I can not know. Look for that info on forums like fragrantica.

Is it possible for the magnetic cap to become inclined after using the bottle? I can't seem to get it perpendicular or parallel to the front of the bottle. I was pretty sure that I have the original one, all other conditions apply, including the scent itself and the longevity is there as well.

After watching this I'm convinced that the Acqua Di Gio I have is a fake. The cap isn't even magnetic it's plastic it just snaps into place. It's mostly water because it fades away fast.
Check in a shop if newer batches don't have magnetic caps anymore. I don't know if Armani changed parts in Profumo. Regarding the mostly water aspect, it could be an authentic that has been kept in bad conditions, I can not know. Whenever you are talking fakes, first think about where you bought it from and what the price was. If you bought it from a seller that has no reputation, yes, you might have bought a fake.
Don't you wish that UA-cam would upgrade this comments section so it looks more like a forum and all of us could get notified with every new comment if we wanted, and not just for those we've created or replied to? A search feature that searches all comments would also be helpful. I had to keep scrolling to load all 369 comments (as of this writing) to see if I ever created a new one! You probably weren't aware when you started the fake comparison videos, but these videos are great for another reason. I've learned over the last few years that formula codes are even more important than batch codes on the legitimate boxes/bottles, and your videos allow us to compare subsequent batches to the original formulation. Slowing down your videos to 1/4 speed (or downloading them and going frame by frame) allows for capturing screen shots of the formula code and ingredients of the original bottle for comparison to the current version. Your batch code of 38M101 indicates a first batch bottle from Jan. 2015. Unfortunately, in this video, you never turned the boxes around to the back where all the information about ingredients, manufacturer and formula code is. In other videos where you did examine the back of the boxes, I've noticed differences in the ingredients and color codes between your real and fake boxes. If you still have the box of the legit original, is there any way you can post a photo of the back of the box to Imgur with a link?

The formula code of 560173A and the ingredient listing are the same as my 2019 box and a 2020 box I saw on UA-cam, so it's good to know that through 2020, L'Oreal has not reformulated Armani's AdG Profumo.

The fragrances I don't use I will sell so I can get back some of the money I spent. There are for sure pictures on forums that could help identify ingredients and formulations.

If they did (and UA-cam reviewers did), we would have every formula code for every fragrance released in the last decade, and could pinpoint all reformulations.

Yes, the 180ml is real. I never saw 180ml fakes but that doesn't mean there won't be any fakes of 180ml made in the future. I can not know. Always buy from trusted sellers in order to avoid scams.
I've seen one of these for sale online and from the photo the box looks like the real one in this video except that the 'vaporisateur natural spray' text near the bottom is just indented into the cardboard (like the 75ml text) and not in silver like the rest of the text. I wonder if the fakers have stepped up their game or it's a variant of the original?
Hello I just bought a bottle and everything is perfect except for the the cap. It is strong and I can pick up the bottle from it, but the line on the logo is fixed horizontally instead of vertically like in the video. One other thing is that the batch code on the box is 38m503 and the bottle is 38mn01. Is it a fake?

Silver Honda I ussualy buy from local national sellers so I can only recommend Amazon or EBay for international buying except the official websites of the designer brands. I olso used takeit2day.com for buying Armaf fragrances, it is based in India.

+Vuk T I've noticed that lately fakes come in tester boxes so it is easier for the crooks to explain quality differences and minor esthetic faults.
Mine matches 100% everything you showed was identical including the letters on the front. I got it for $45 on ebay the same 2.5 oz bottle is $98 at macys.
If the smell and juice quality is the same with the ones from authorised shops it means you made a very good deal.
@@tattoofun2003 Yes it does seem to smell the same and perform the same as the tester at Macy's. I've been checking amazon and ebay for a while now and this is by far the best deal so far, the 2nd cheapest is $62.

For the real ones, the center line of GA on magnetic cap could either settle perpendicular to the logo on bottle for some bottles or it could settle parallel (Inline with the bottles shoulders) for other bottles. But no other than the two ways.

Just to add, that the rip-off fake will have very poor sillage, very poor projection and very poor longevity. Luckily I haven't bought any fakes...yet! 🥇💖✔ Keep doing these videos!

Please help me!, i bought this fragrance at a renowned local pharmacy, everything is perfect like the one of your video, but i have one thing what worries me, the letter in the bottle (Acqua di Gio) is not shiny or metalic like yours, is like paint. I can not know if you have a fake or not.
Of the pharmacy is well known it should not sell fakes.
Take into consideration that fragrances go through aesthetic changes with time, so letters could be printed in other ways than the way the fragrance initially came out when it was launched.
Profumo is no longer manufactured, it has been discontinued from what I know.
I recently bought this fragrance online and received it today. My box, bottle and fragrance itself all seem 100% genuine. The batch codes tells me that the manufacture date is August 2021. The only difference between mine and the real bottle in this video is that the Acqua di gio text on the front of the bottle itself is silver but not shiny. I have no reason to doubt this product that I have though so maybe just the text is not shiny anymore on the bottles?
I did not check newer batches. If the seller is reputable you should not worry, it can be an aesthetic change.
I bought a 0.75 ml and it have a white writing, it’s not shiny and the cap bottle doesnt have magnet. But the orher thing like the bottle in the light gets translucent, the thr finish of the bottle feels good and like in your video, it has a batch number like the one in the review. I dont have reasons to think isnt genuine. It’s possible like in 5 years period, since you’ve made this video, they change some things on the recipient like that?

The only thing that didn’t match up for me was that the cap wouldn’t come off when turning it in any direction, otherwise everything matched up w the authentic aqua de gio.
But is it magnetic ?

The real 125ml box opens from the back. It really depends on the batch and quantity.

Profumo has testers that are made by the manufacturer, those are authentic.
There are fakes on the market, some look like the authentic and others are sold as "testers" but they are still fakes.

@@legeniii1910 I use nostly on skin. I rarely use on clothing. Textile materials always keep the fragrance on them for a long time.
On my bottle the bottom has no silver bottom and the cap isn’t fully perpendicular but it’s transparent like the real one and the atomizer is just like the real one. I’m not sure if it’s fake as this is supposed to be a long lasting fragrance but only lasts about 4-5 hours.

Yes. It depends on how you kept it. It may have an imperfection from the factory that accentuated over time causing it to leak.
Is it possible that the 2015 authentic version has nonmagnetic cap? Or all of from this version has magnetic cap?
Check my batch 12:00 , it has the letter M in it. That should be 2015. Mine had a magnetic cap. I don't know about other batches. If Armani decided to have non magnetic caps in 2015 I can not know. Look for that info on forums like fragrantica.

Is it possible for the magnetic cap to become inclined after using the bottle? I can't seem to get it perpendicular or parallel to the front of the bottle. I was pretty sure that I have the original one, all other conditions apply, including the scent itself and the longevity is there as well.

After watching this I'm convinced that the Acqua Di Gio I have is a fake. The cap isn't even magnetic it's plastic it just snaps into place. It's mostly water because it fades away fast.
Check in a shop if newer batches don't have magnetic caps anymore. I don't know if Armani changed parts in Profumo.
Regarding the mostly water aspect, it could be an authentic that has been kept in bad conditions, I can not know.
Whenever you are talking fakes, first think about where you bought it from and what the price was. If you bought it from a seller that has no reputation, yes, you might have bought a fake.

You probably weren't aware when you started the fake comparison videos, but these videos are great for another reason. I've learned over the last few years that formula codes are even more important than batch codes on the legitimate boxes/bottles, and your videos allow us to compare subsequent batches to the original formulation. Slowing down your videos to 1/4 speed (or downloading them and going frame by frame) allows for capturing screen shots of the formula code and ingredients of the original bottle for comparison to the current version. Your batch code of 38M101 indicates a first batch bottle from Jan. 2015. Unfortunately, in this video, you never turned the boxes around to the back where all the information about ingredients, manufacturer and formula code is. In other videos where you did examine the back of the boxes, I've noticed differences in the ingredients and color codes between your real and fake boxes. If you still have the box of the legit original, is there any way you can post a photo of the back of the box to Imgur with a link?
I no longer have the AdG Profumo so I can not help.
A search feature will be useful, but unless UA-cam does it, we can only wish for that.

The formula code of 560173A and the ingredient listing are the same as my 2019 box and a 2020 box I saw on UA-cam, so it's good to know that through 2020, L'Oreal has not reformulated Armani's AdG Profumo.

The fragrances I don't use I will sell so I can get back some of the money I spent. There are for sure pictures on forums that could help identify ingredients and formulations.
@@tattoofun2003 Most people don't realize there are formula codes on these boxes, so there are few photos of the formula codes and ingredients. If they did (and UA-cam reviewers did), we would have every formula code for every fragrance released in the last decade, and could pinpoint all reformulations.

My 40 ml doesn‘t have any magnetic cap, no silver bottom and between bottle and spray nozzle the liquid was leaking out OpenOffice. By the way the cap doesn‘t close to the end. Does Armani actually has such quality degradation?

Well known shops don't sell fakes. They make sure their suppliers are certified.

I do not know if it has been reformulated so I don't know if the 2019 batch performs as well as the batches close to the release date.

I've seen one of these for sale online and from the photo the box looks like the real one in this video except that the 'vaporisateur natural spray' text near the bottom is just indented into the cardboard (like the 75ml text) and not in silver like the rest of the text. I wonder if the fakers have stepped up their game or it's a variant of the original?
If the seller is authorised don't worry about esthetic changes, those can occur over time.

I just bought a bottle and everything is perfect except for the the cap. It is strong and I can pick up the bottle from it, but the line on the logo is fixed horizontally instead of vertically like in the video. One other thing is that the batch code on the box is 38m503 and the bottle is 38mn01.

Does the folding always need to be perfect or it might be messy sometimes ?
The folding on authentics has a nice thin band with no obvious glueing.

You know the easy way to identify the fake is just simply smell it..when the box are the same..fake one can never copy the real smell..fake one comes with water..and authentic is stronger as well..
Before spending your money and open it so you can smell it, I believe it is better to be able to spot the fake from the begining.
