@@DragBoss351Cleveland John Hagen was a friend of mine along with Henri Broom. Henri had one of the first lite weight Hemi belvedere,s SS cars. I was helping them develop some of the first sheet metal Xram intakes. John and Henri decided to build a low deck Hemi 388 engine, to get the weight down on the Plymouth Arrow built by Jerry Hemingson they set the NHRA MPH record in 1981 when Greg Anderson was Johns crew chief. John was from St Paul and he was killed at the North Star Nats in 1983 in a Dodge Charger pro stock car built by Jerry Hemingson. John was having problems with the top radiator hose blowing off and they thought they had it fixed. The hose blew off at 3/4 track and the car flipped 3 or 4 times. Don Ness was the first person to get to the car and John was still alive. But what happened was when the car went upside down the belts went across his throat and cut his jugular vein and he could not stop the bleeding. John was using them quick release belts, the type you just hit in the middle and the belts pop off. Well them belts were designed for parachuting not racing and would unhook when you went upside down. I remember being in Warrens shop and watching him make some of the first shaft mounted rocker arms for a B.B.Chev. Warren always seem to be a step ahead of everyone else at the time.

A great show Tim that takes us back in time even to my youth.😀
You’re most welcome my friend. Listen tonight‘s video more drag racing from the late 50s in Bob’s experience.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland like Dad used to say " you can learn more from listening than talking ". It's how I feel when you have those like Bob on your show who brought this sport to us and contributed to the development of all Motorsport, for little money 💰.
I don’t have famous, he was definitely a pioneer, at least around Columbus area. He still in the garage at 81 just not building engines for a living.

Hello 👋 everyone
Hey Gary, glad you’re here. Make sure you subscribe, I want to build this channel and bring you the best contact. I just need help with a click, like, and subscribe or if you want to you can share it too. Thanks my friend.
Ironically Tim, just after this video of your's, a video popped up with the channel name Dyno Don Nicholson. It must be quite a new channel, as it only has 574 subs at the moment. In it, a grand nephew of Dyno Don interviews John Kaase !!
I've been through a less than joyful 17 days in hospital after my ileostomy reversal, as my large bowel was effectively comatose for the first 10 days. Needed the nose hose two times, first time blowing two liters of fluid all over the nurse; second time also two liters, but the nurse was safe. Writing this on my first full day at home, so I've got some catching up to do on your content ... Feb 28 2023 !!
I will have to look that up. I’ve heard people talking about it. That’s so cool. I wanted to interview Kaase, but not have luck with it. I will check it out again. Thank you Adrian hope you’re doing well.
I just was wondering about you and wrote this down on your previous message reply. Yes I hope you continue to improve. Sorry they have to go through the NG tube stuff. Thank you my friend. I will keep you in our prayers.
Doing much better, now I'm home, thanks Tim !!@@DragBoss351Cleveland
So glad you are a mate, I didn’t wanna bother you. I figured you’d be back when it was your time. Keep strong. Stay tuned because way more is on the way.
The 351 cleveland that you're leaning on, whats in it? Looks like a air gap performer manifold. I have a 351C 2v heads, that i want to stroke but I don't know what to do. 393 stroker with 3.85" stroke, 6" I rods, -3cc Mahle pistons, TFS aftermarket 195 heads, cam ??? Air gap performer to try to keep under 73 mustang mach I hood.
Holley strip dominator. No substitute for cubic inches. I like a 408, stump pulling torque. Anything bigger than 377 will be awesome. Air gap is a great intake if you can find it.
How do I get to ask a question on one of your live podcasts?
Well, you have to be there live, can you tell the truth are so many people making comments and asking questions, I try to post as many as I can, but sometimes we just run out of time on the chat, what kind of question do you want to ask, if you email and I may be able to email it to one of the guests. I have a live chat on Thursday, 7 PM, Joe Pappas from the Mopar missile.
Have a Cleveland for sale if you are interested all new parts but it is not assembled
I may be interested, email me at thpa351@gmail.com
