Hello from central indiana. I have the W150 LE four wheel drive shortbed version of this truck. 318 LA engine, 2 barrel holley carburetor, 727 auto transmission. Full power. Windows, AC, brakes and steering. Truck is graphic red with red cloth interior. Just like this truck.
Digging your videos and truck repair humor. I had the exact same thing happen with my turn signal stalk on my '75 D100 and fixed it the exact same way with Permatex. The only thing I would of added had I found the right size in my box of misc bolts, would have been a lock washer to go on that screw in-addition to the Permatex thread locker. Please keep your maintenance/upgrade videos coming, glad to see someone doing regular videos on the Dodge D series pickups. Even though my truck is a 1975 D100, 95% of your "how to" portions still applies to my model year.
Should do a video on how to replace the serpentine belts on this model truck getting into it myself and finding out I haven't really found anyone with a video of this.
I'm trying to do everything to my 86 d150 Royal se from your videos I fixed tailgate and front end brakes etc now im going to fix turn signals it just started acting up last week good videos
Jason, I’ve had issues with my turn signals going off completely while the heater has been turned on. I’ve taken it to my local mechanic several times and they have fixed them several times only for them to go again. Over an over. Any thoughts ? I don’t even know where the fuses are. The hazards work just fine and that’s what I have to use when turning in general. Thanks.
Just wanted to say thx for posting this had the same thing happen to my 87 dodge d 150 with the turn signal switch and went and bought a new one cuz I thought it was broke spent 104 on the switch take the wheel off like u showed in the video and I would have never guessed the screw was loose blinkers work fine this video saved me $104 dollars thx so much
Will that seat direct fit into 89 dodge ramcharger thats designed with front bucket seats, removed of course.?? Knowing i might have to drill additional bolt holes for correct placement?? 😊😎 i would like to find a bench seat to fit that folds down flat towards the back. So probably from a van. Any constructive suggestions appreciated. 😊😎🏁
Had a '78 Power Wagon. 318, 4 spd fulltime 4x4. Redid the basics, stereo, bucket seats, custom shifter knob. More exterior lights than a fire truck. Then lifted it, 33's, and mud flaps. Put on a hundred thousand miles. 2 sets of tires. 1 set of brakes. Drove through, raised a lot of and escaped from hell in that thing. Damned it. I miss her. That one y'all got is a dang pretty sight. Treat her good, she'll treat you better.
Hmm, probably not under the seat. There's a fair amount of space behind the seat though. My truck has some accessory pockets for storage. I bet a thin sub box could fit there.
Hi. I have a 1989 D150. Trying to find out the red paint code for it. The red on your truck looks to be the same as mine. Would you happen to know the paint code? The info for mine wore off and is unreadable. Thanks
Do you happen to have a video for help with a difficult- to- open (from the inside) passenger side door on an '87 Dodge Ram 150? Sometimes it will open if I pull up on the lock and pull the handle at the same time, but not always. Thanks! -Kristen
I'd recommend it. My truck has been really easy to work on, and you can tell it was very well made. Not modern, so expect it to be hard to start in the winter sometimes... things like that. But it's a wonderful machine. I have fallen in love with mine.
I wish you would have shown how to take the whole wheel off my ignition key wont pull the lever up to start truck I have to use plyers to pull on lever after turning key on
I just bought a 1987 with the same floppy turn signal. I really want to drive it a lot but it's just been sitting because I don't like driving around with a broken switch lever. i bought a new relay and a steering wheel puller. im wondering if you are still available to help me if possible
I don’t really have any other info beyond what’s in the video. You’ll be fine. It’s pretty darn easy. Although I do recommend some loctite on that one screw so things don’t go loose in the future.
Great video! Where did you get your seat from? I just purchased an 86 w150 to restore and give to my daughter for her 16th bday. Needs a new seat. Also what did you use to get your doors and dash so clean?!
Thanks Paul. It was a lucky find on Craigslist. Yeah, for cleaning the interior I use a couple different things. Belray silicone detailer spray for the dash plastic, and Cover All Tire Dressing for the rubber floor.
@@JasonExplainsThings awesome. I am hoping that stuff will get it looking so clean like yours. Otherwise I’ve seen people paint their plastic but feel that may look cheap.
I’ve got a 1990 Dodge Ram and when you put the right turn signal on, the rear flashes, but the front does not. It does go click click click when you put the lever up but the arrow on the dash doesn’t flash. If I jiggle it a little it sometimes works. What could that be?
Got another Request for you! If you would be so kind as to do a cold air intake installation AND list the part in your future description because holy crap is it hard to find any kind of intake kit or replacement parts for my 87 w150... I'm afraid I'm gonna have to frankentube something together..
