Uli Jon Roth Amadeus

Uli Jon Roth (born Ulrich Roth, 18 December 1954) is a German guitarist, who became famous as the Scorpions lead guitarist, and is one of the earliest contributors to the neoclassical metal genre. He is also the founder of Sky Academy and inventor of the Sky Guitar. He is the older brother of fellow guitarist and artist Zeno Roth.

Uly never disappoints. He has the absolute best phrasing I,'ve ever heard. And tone, he really doesn't need a band with him. When he makes his guitar sound like a violin in upper registers, I could listen all day in total disbelief. Never have I heard anyone even come close to his mastery of sound. When I was young, I saw him a number of times with Scorps and Michael Shenker another of my favorites. At that time when he left the Sc orpions, I never thought he would play like he does. Hopefully I can see him just once before he or I pass playing these songs. That would be an experience I would take to my grave and beyond for sure.

This is from an old compilation LP originally. I think also on his cd with piano arpeggios (forget the name).
It was a demo made on the road touring the US, where he saw the movie Amadeus. So it's made in 1984.
