I'm relatively new to marine/reef aquariums( 9 months or so ). Struggling with some parameter and coral issues. Yours was the most down to earth, plain english, helpful, video I've seen. I don't think it answered all my questions, but I feel so much better about feeding coral now. Thank you.
Thankyou my friend I have a reef tank myself and have struggled to feed my corals they end up dying I have spent a fortune on coral food to no effect so I went out and bought reef roids and polyp booster and I have achieved success I have new growth and happy corals so Thankyou so much you have a new subscriber
Hi, I have 24 gallon aquatop tank, did a 5 gallon water change a few days ago and my water has been cloudy ever since. This is not a new tank, it's been set up for almost 8 months now. I thought maybe it was sand since I was cleaning and pushing around sand, cleaned the glass etc. but after 3 or 4 days I would think this would all settle. Only thing I have did differently is add some coral like 1 acans 1 Green Duncan & 1 hammer 🔨 the salt I’m using is Red Sea coral pro
After a few weeks not having corals,we added zoa colony, blasto and gsp. We learned something about feeding reef roids wee didn’t know about from your video. We now make our own water so hopefully we can maintain these. Thank you for the information
EAT SLEEP Reef Totally agree. I watched your video after working a night shift and it sent me off to sleep, no problem. Your voice kind of reminds me of Bob Ross, the artist. Anyone remember him?
amazing your reef tank bro What parameters does it have in the tank and do you add something kh, mg or ca? i have a nano something i feed with reef roids
so the chalice looks so much like the montipora. You keep things small and trimmed don and like gardens for instance,i believe those are all candy canes to the far right? Looks amazing, is that what you do. Iusually see a big batch of them and the neon green ones i picked up look like a head of cauliflower..lol You tank is the most beautiful I have seen! I have asked you lots of questions last few days because i admire it so much. Can you move corals to new spots when they get older or you upgrade?
Thnks for sharing the information....i do the exact same thing for my reef except the fact instead of spot feed i broadcast it just because of the size of the tank..
Your tank looks beautiful but on the MP 10 or whatever pumps you’re using all you Gotta do is hold the option power button down and it will shut off the pump and then you just press it once again to turn it back on
Need to get some of that. I heard of reef roids but didn't know of the other stuff and works great because you have so much color! What are the beautiful pink plating corals?
Great vids. Thanks! Couple questions. On your lights, what is your blue to white ratio. Also as a mixed reef, what is your calcium and alk levels kept at? are you running any gfo or nopox etc?
I’m running the coral Lab program on the lights which you can see those settings anywhere. Calcium is at 440 alk is at 8.5. Only running gfo and carbon.
One more question..lol How big is this tank and are you using black light? What type of light are you using. I am asking because I ordered somany of these corals ata sale and they were mostly purple and green, I was going to try to get a refund but maybe I will just go with it and add oranges yellows and pinks later and you have done so much with mostly lps and softies! I didnt know that could be done and for a small tank at that! I heard you mention those were acans and not candy cane. Are they all on a rock? Dont they sting each other?
Beautiful tank man. What’s the plan though once the corals start to really come into their own? Seems like the corals are packed tightly with little room to grow.
Excellent video by the way. Quick question is this tank upstairs or downstairs. I want a redseareefer170 but I’m in the third floor of an apartment building
My dad uses reefroids but not like this. I’ll be recommending it. And thanks for the info about your buddy. I’ll be pulling the trigger soon. Who knows maybe with a UA-cam series of my own ahaha
Hey man nice video! What are your water parameters? Ca, Mg, Alk, and temp? Also wanted to give you a huge thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 you have by far the nicest reef in coloration I have seen on the tube, aside from world wide corals display tanks of course but that’s not really a comparison lol keep up the good work man!!
My family just started a salt water tank... so far we only set up... nothing is added. We were told that we cannot put a tang in our tank because it’s only 32g and they need more than that... like 60 or more. We were also told that we can only have no more than 3-4 1 inch fish, I.e., clown fish. In this video, he has a 50g and more than 4 fish. My question is, were we given accurate information and details regarding the number of fish we can have in our 32g tank? Appreciate the time and attention.
For a 32 any tank is kinda small. And the fish count recommendation is pretty accurate. The more fish you have the more poop, thus the more water changes you have to do. You can setup the tank to handle more fish but honesty if your new I would do no more than 3-4 fish so you can have a tank that needs little maintenance. With a good skimmer you can get away with a bit more fish but take it easy at the beginning
EAT SLEEP Reef ok, so will I need a protein skimmer regardless? Also, what should o add first... coral or fish? Additionally, we are going to get rock today, however we love the man-made Rock more than the live. We decided to go with live sand... my question is, would it be ok to mix the man-made and live rock or can we just get man-made rock since we have live sand? Appreciate your feedback.
The reason you colors are so vivid is due to all the purple and blue light you're using and how intense they are, turn that off and all the color goes away

That is a gorgeous tank. I haven’t taken a walk on the salty side yet but I’m getting the itch. Thanks for the excellent content.
One of the most beautiful nano tanks I've seen😍
I’ve seen many reef tanks but this one here, yours, is superb! F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C
Thanks!!

We just fed our acan the way you described, works great. Thanks
Man that tank is beautiful great job love the gsp near top
Thanks :)
Thanks for showing me how to feed corals.
Love that the baby swing is next to the tank ! Thoughtful daddy 😊

Have any questions let me know :)
You have a beautiful tank and I love your voice. It’s very soothing.
Thanks :)

How often do you feed your corals? Sorry if you said this already. Thanks this is very helpful
Fantastic looking mixed reef tank. Love it!
Thx ;)
amazing your reef tank bro
What parameters does it have in the tank and do you add something kh, mg or ca?
i have a nano something i feed with reef roids
Wow great looking corals especially the Skolly

Ya I don’t blame you. If I had a big tank I would do the same.
Your corals are Aaamazing!!!
Your tank looks beautiful but on the MP 10 or whatever pumps you’re using all you Gotta do is hold the option power button down and it will shut off the pump and then you just press it once again to turn it back on
beautiful ! how often do you feed? and where do you get the food?
Every other day. Google polyplab reef roids and rods food original blend
I use nannocropsis to mix up the reef roids instead of tank water.
I use the same stuff. Love ur tank looks awesome
Thanks!!
What is the stringy stuff after feeding? Do you let it sit on your coral or do u fan off with current? Also how long do u leave pumps off
That’s the roids. You let it sit it won’t stay very long.
Does anyone knows the name of that colorful coral at 7:43?
do you put a filter on your camera lens in order to block out some of the blue light?
been wondering the same thing
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Need to get some of that. I heard of reef roids but didn't know of the other stuff and works great because you have so much color! What are the beautiful pink plating corals?
Do you buy frags online or local ?
And where ?
Thx in advance ‼️
Very nice, like a piece of ocean. May I know what's your tank dimensions?
Thanks. 27x19x19
Worth noting to keep an eye on your parameters when feeding like this.
Hi you tank looks amazing. What you suggest for evo 13
5 gallon tank media sponge media or something like in tank media. Thank you
I watched this video about 20 times😍
🤣🤣
How do u keep different Zoas from overtaking each other on the same rock?
I am in love with your set up. I must try reef roids.
Great video! How often do you feed? Twice a week?
Yup twice a week :)
How long do you turn off the pump, skimmer, wavemaker? Thank you in advance.
Excellent tutorial! Do you find this level of feeding increases your nutrients?
Thanks! Honesty if done over time your tank should grow the beneficial bacteria to consume it. In my case no nitrates hover at about 10
Great vids. Thanks! Couple questions. On your lights, what is your blue to white ratio. Also as a mixed reef, what is your calcium and alk levels kept at? are you running any gfo or nopox etc?

how often do you feed the corals? and the fish?
I do a mix of amino acids, oyster feast and reef roids
Beautiful tank man. What’s the plan though once the corals start to really come into their own? Seems like the corals are packed tightly with little room to grow.
Thanks :) honestly we will have to wait and see hahaha
Well if things get out of hand it’ll be a nice excuse to get another tank 😂
Do you use the polyp lab one every day?
Excellent video by the way. Quick question is this tank upstairs or downstairs. I want a redseareefer170 but I’m in the third floor of an apartment building
It is upstairs. My buddy has the 170 on a 3rd floor
My dad uses reefroids but not like this. I’ll be recommending it. And thanks for the info about your buddy. I’ll be pulling the trigger soon. Who knows maybe with a UA-cam series of my own ahaha
How did you get the green star polyps to grow in the back glass
Hi looking great very nice video mate 👍
Thanks a bunch.
What is the par range you keep on your tank top/middle/bottom. Love that you have SPS and LPS in the same tank!
Do you not get phosphate issues throwing in all of that reef roids?
You do have great coloration. Are you supplementing with any liquid coral foods or aminoacids, or is it just Polyp booster and Reef roids?
Mainly all reef roids and sometimes I feed them what I feed the fish which is rods food
Looooove the roids!!! Going to have to try the polyp booster
It’s a must :)
Beautiful tank
Great video! Thanks for sharing your reefing knowledge!
What are the zoas with the red skirts and white centers? I have them too but i have yet to find the trade name of them. Thanks.
If you look on My Instagram and scroll threw you will see where I ask people to ID them. I forgot right now the name.

Beautiful tank!
hello from greece!! did i see right? have you mix 2 colours montipora plate(red and green)?
How to you syphon your sand bed?
Nice vid!
Thanks :)
Better than redsea ab plus ??
Have you ever tried benepets ? Great reef food.
🔥🔥🔥
What a tank!!
Can I feed the reef roids to my rbt nem when I’m feeding the rest of my tank?
Absolutely!
when u turn on return pump, wave maker and skimmer after feed?
What is the green stuff at the top of the tank that looks like grass?
Green Star polyp
How do you control your green star polyp, mine is growing really fast
how much mix for 52l dislexic having hard time working out
how much nitrate and pohsphate u use
Do you have skimmer
I've never fed my clam. Are all clams ok to feed?
is there a pigment coral? where I can get coral pigment
Hi no3 nitrat how much?
Do a video on how u aquascaped your tank
I did the spot feed on my Duncan and zoas the same way you did it and they burned and die. Can the reef roids did that?
Or it could be that my water parameters are to high?
why do lfs say dont add feed anything alk and cal only
Beautiful Reef👍
Great video
Thanks :)
Do you feed everyday?
It's the same way I feed em roids. My method is a bit thicker tho.
Yes I have seen your method. And it’s quite a bit thicker lol :)
How often do you feed?
Twice a week
i thought i had to let the mix sit in the fridge overnight!!! have i been doing this wrong i wonder
also whats your feeding schedule, mine is every 3 days
Your light intensity looks so dim I'm runni6a 165w viparspectra at 65 blue 20 white it looks way more bright
dope
The reason you colors are so vivid is due to all the purple and blue light you're using and how intense they are, turn that off and all the color goes away
awsome asstank cool beans
That GSP is giving me anxiety lol
I never save a difference a color with any coral food. And amino's you have a lot with fish
Random, but you’re really quiet! How come the sound is so low?
Interesting on my phone it sounds great. What platform are you using?
I’m on the iPad, which I know is slightly quieter, but it is really quiet
His growth has more to do with his lighting and tank parameters and less to do with coral nutrition
Hey the baby away from the tank, light isn't good for their skin.
cant hear video , low voce
Someone feeding a montipora? That’s a first. Lol
How often do you feed them?
2 times a week
great video
How often do you feed?
he said he feeds 2 times a week
