Just came back here to say this video is so informative! We purchased our Annual Passes using the flex pay option and not that we didn’t trust you, but we didn’t want to have to go all the way to the gate to pick them up- so we asked a UO team member on the help chat. They told us we can pick them up at the hotel even if we did flex pay. Needless to say I screen shotted that text because I was sure it was wrong lol. When we got to the hotel of course we were told sorry you have to go to City Walk guest services. After showing them my screen shot, they swore you can pick them up at City Walk. We decided to ignore that advice and just go to the gate. So there you have it. Y’all know something that even Universal team members don’t! Thank you!
Haha we always try to do our homework! I’m not sure why they won’t let you get them at the hotels if you used flex pay, but I’m sure there’s a reason. At least you didn’t waste any time in Citywalk!
@@theactualdarthvader yes don’t even bother going anywhere else. If you can, try to do it right when you get there. Say if you arrive in Orlando the day before you actually want to go to the park, I would go that day and take care of your tickets so you don’t waste valuable time on a park day waiting in line. Those likes at the ticket booths at the gate can get very long!
I just renewed my pass. Went big and went for the premier pass since I’m a local and it made sense for me. So far, I’m loving the extra perks. Prime parking is clutch!
If we were locals that is 100% the pass we would have! We never drive so the parking wasn’t something we needed but we’ve discussed how it’s a no brained to have a premier pass if you drive for the parking alone!
Alright. This was my favorite video of yalls. It heavily influenced me to get one this year and is awesome. Thanks guys. Gave me a great hobby this year
Your tips from this video saved my family $1,100. I purchased the cancel for anything insurance, kept checking the website for falling prices, and 30 days later, found an awesome price!!! I jumped on the phone and the money is being refunded! I am so happy with the discounted deal I got and grateful for the tips you shared!!! :-) Thanks!!
This is amazing! We are so happy to hear this! Thank you for coming and sharing this with us. Nothing makes us happier than when people let us know that it worked out! We hope you guys have an amazing time!
OMG. This video just saved me so much money! I'm getting to stay an extra day now PLUS it's $140 cheaper overall! I had no idea how to find the passholder rates and just assumed I wasn't eligible for when I was planning to go! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You are so welcome! We are beyond excited that the video helped! That is exactly why we make these videos! We hope you have an incredible vacation! Buy a couple extra butterbeers with that money saved!
Awh, thank you! That's so sweet. We hope you and your wife have a fantastic time at the parks and make the most out of your new passes! If you have any questions, we're always happy to help!
just got back from memorial day weekend in Universal AND bought the Premiere AP, well worth it!! just for that express after 4 pm geez!!!! cant wait for Valet to open up again!!
Me and my wife just found yalls channel and we are hooked great channel and videos we go to Disney world alot but we did not even know universal offered all these great amenities we are really starting to change or mind about Disney looks like you get more bang for buck at Universal thanks keep the videos coming
That’s so sweet! We definitely feel like you can get more for your money at Universal if you know what you’re doing! We really appreciate the words of encouragement, thanks for watching!
I stayed at the Doubletree universal across from the park, it is an offsite partner hotel and I was able to get my premier annual pass in the lobby. I was shocked and happy that I did not have to go to the park first and then come back to the hotel! Good to know that the offsite partner hotel was also able to take care of my pass.
Oh wow! We didn’t know that was an option either! We knew some of the partner hotels came with early park and transportation, but that’s awesome! Thanks for passing that along!
You guys are an invaluable source of Universal knowledge, down to the smallest detail! I have visited there many, many times, and have been a Universal-phile since they first opened. Yet, I learn something new and helpful from every video. This time, I learned about upgrading an AP. Although, you messaged me yesterday about that (thanks)!
We cannot express how much your continued support means to us and it makes us happy that you get some value from the videos! When we were talking with you yesterday we were laughing cause we knew this weeks video was going to touch on the same topic! Appreciate everything, Matt!
OH MY GOD!!! I’m literally doing a report on universal resort and doing trips there for a good price, and you guys are super helpful with these videos!! My teacher loved how I included you guys in my report for a good source!! You both are the greatest UA-cam channel to watch for easy clarity on how to travel to universal
That’s so sweet! We are honored to be part of your research 😂! That sounds like a really fun class getting to do reports on Universal! We hope we helped you get an A+ lol. Thanks for watching!
Damn this information was awesome. Was debating getting a season pass but the savings from the pass holder rate for the premier hotels saves more than the pass itself! Thank you!
We’re so glad we could help! That’s probably the biggest benefit for people that aren’t local. It really does pay for itself when compared to single/multi day tickets!
Just came back from Universal Orlando (out of state visitor) and had a wonderful time thanks to all of your universal videos. I must say the annual pass is definitely worth it especially for the merchandise. Keep up the good content 😊
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you had an awesome vacation, and we’re so happy our videos helped. If you’re planning on buying a lot of merch, the passholder discount is SO worth it!
My wife and I just booked our first ever trip to Universal Orlando and this channel was indispensable. We booked for the week of 9/26 and didn't even know it was HHN! We are definitely going to get tickets. We have one preferred pass and one seasonal pass!
We love hearing that! We’re so glad that our videos have been helpful, we love sharing our love of Universal with others. We can’t wait to hear all about your trip, you’re going to love HHN!
Thank you guys so much! I've been stressing about picking up my pass and what time to arrive at the park knowing I would have to wait in the guest services line. Sooooooo good to know I can get this at check in at the hotel!
We’re so happy we could help! You’ll save SO much time getting them at your hotel, so we’re glad you watched this video before your trip! We hope you have an awesome time, too!
Great advice, as always!!! Thanks so much, I’m about to buy APs for myself and 2 granddarlings and love the suggestion to get the lower teir pass and then upgrade if we love Universal. 👏👏👏
I watched several channels on UA-cam about Orlando theme parks and its really nice to see that you guys actually broke it down. Because I go every year and I never got one cuz I was just confused about the whole situation lol any other channels I have so many viewers but they're not breaking down the details. So shout out to you guys I'll be going in October for Halloween Horror Nights. And I learn something new you guys rock and I found a new channel
Awh, thank you so much! We’re so glad our videos have been helpful! We were definitely confused when we first started visiting the parks, and it took us a long time to learn everything we know now. We love being able to share this information and our love of the parks with others. We hope you have an awesome time at HHN this year! We really appreciate your support!
Found the channel this week! Loving it & subscribed! I love ALL theme parks and don't think enough WDW fans give Universal a chance. I'm living in TN, but am thinking about getting my first AP in 2022 and going for about 4 - 5 trips! I think I can do 2 - 3 days as a solo guest for about $500 - $600 each trip (after the first trip / buying the pass!) I'm going to splurge & get the Premier Pass. It's worth it, for me, to get the Early Entry & Express Pass. If I go for at least 10 days, it makes the cost only about $20 each day for that benefit!
That’s a great way to break it down! Thank you for the support! As fellow Tennesseans, we love seeing other people from here enjoying the parks frequently!
I upgraded our tickets to the premier pass on our trip in May, because we will be back two more times in the coming year. I wanted the express after 4, because we are staying at Cabana Bay and also we want to go to HHN. I may switch to the preferred when I renew, as we will probably only go once next year and I might be able to swing one of the three hotels that include express pass. We shall decide that when the time comes. I do know that between the hotel discount and the discounts on food and merchandise, one upgrade paid for itself and the other was half paid for. We hadn’t been since 2017, so there was a lot on our food and merchandise shopping list!
The premier pass is absolutely worth it if you take advantage of the perks! We just realized that we weren’t taking advantage of them, so it wasn’t worth the price difference for us. If we ever moved down there, we’d upgrade in a hurry!
Great tips. We bought the annual pass with a 15 month promotion. I had no idea we might not get 15 months. Now I will have to check to see when ours expires.
We didn't know about the resort discount, and we booked using FL resident and ended up picking up our pass in the hotel (DOH). We're dumb. LOL, but the hotel ticket service is the best.
You guys really are the best when it comes to UO, there are other youtubers that cover UO, sure, but they arent you guys. (Anna, your my favorite because your bubbly personality and you look like a friend of mine from high school named Jinger (she mighta spelled it Ginger was back in '99)) Hubs and I both went preferred and bought the kids and my best friend season passes, all thanks to you guys' advice and its really paid off. I'm getting the opportunity to go stay the night in Universal for at least 1 night a month. (I found you guys originally on my throw away account bob villa) Speaking of, my bestie had an absolute blast when I took her, we got to try fishy green ale and otters fizzy orange (both delicious), ate at the leaky cauldron and she rode hagrids! Thank you both for all of your advice!
You’re making us blush! Haha, seriously thank you so much for the kind words and support, means more than you know! We are so happy that our information has been helpful. Anna should be most peoples favorite! She’s the best! We love all the drinks in the HP universe. How incredible was Hagrids!
@@ThePughTwo Yeah it’s getting to be “go time” here pretty soon and I’m going to start booking our January trip in the next month or so. I had been wondering if my daughter and I really needed the same passes or if I could just get her a seasonal. Now that I know that’s exactly what you guys do, that’s good enough for me!
I have the premier password I love all the benefits and can't wait for HHN to use the free night. Luckily with my job it allows me to take days off whenever. And I live in New Orleans. This will be my first HHN
The premier pass is AMAZING! We wished we were able to utilize all the benefits and perks! New Orleans is my (Tyler’s) favorite food spot in the country! You’ll love HHN. So excited to bring you news and updates about it!
Where do we see if they are running promotions on the annual passes, will it just be on the Universal Website, and will they also send emails alerting us to the promo? By the way…..this video was BEYOND helpful, I was about to wait in that long ticket line to pick up my passes, but instead I will stop by city walk, pick up my pass, grab some good food at my new discount and head back to the hotel! Thank you!!!!!
So they will announce them on their website and newsletter! If they have your email, you will also receive it there! Thank you so much, we love hearing that our videos are helpful! We hope you have an amazing time in the parks!
Hello. What do you think the chance is of getting a Premier hotel in late October for a week at pass holder rates? I'm thinking slim to none because of HHN. Thanks for the informative video 👍
You’ll just have to pay attention to the rates! Honestly, even with HHN, October isn’t one of the busier times of the year, so you probably have a decent chance!
We were going to go to Disney then Universal but since watching your videos plus looking at how confusing Disney is right now. We decided we are going to spend the whole trip at universal instead. So thank you!
Hey Matt! Thank you so much! You will not regret the preferred pass. We highly enjoy the discounts on food and merch and it has saved us thousands over the years!
@@ThePughTwo that’s awesome to hear. I’m starting up a Universal channel (inspired by you guys) and I will be posting my first few videos this week, wish me luck! Maybe we can even collab if I end up being successful like y’all!
Our major quandary came after owning an annual pass (out of towner) for a year and was offered a large discount to renew. We knew that we wouldn't return to the parks for five months and our passes would keep rolling if we renewed them to get the discount. It was better to let them expire to regain that start date for a full 12 months.
That makes sense! For us, being down there so often, it makes a ton of sense just to have it. The renewal part can be tricky. We had a situation come up this last time where we had to crunch numbers because they were offering the three free months, but of course that didn’t come with our discount!
If they would pause the renewed passes until the next visit like the new passes, we would love to keep them current. It's probably only an issue for out of towner types that only get a few trips a year. The free three months gets burned off before you cross the state line. The upside is the passes (+ 3 months) will cover you for your daytime park admissions and discounts during HHN the following year.
wow this video is a life/money saver. So I'm planning my first ever trip with a family of 12! my family, sister's family and mom and dad. So it would be a good idea to get a premium pass for me and buy tickets at the gates for everyone else to take advantage of those perks? I was trying to sort through the comments to see how much of a discount on tickets with the pass I'm going to get? Thank you so much for what yall do!
Hey Freddy! We are so happy that we could help! A family of 12 is a lot to plan for so we will help you as much as possible! With the pass, you will receive 10-15% off tickets at the gate on those tickets, however we do not think it would be cost effective to do it like that! Main reason is you can only get 8 tickets with the discount and they are all single day tickets. So it all kind of depends on how many days you are going to the parks and all of that, but we feel like there is a cheaper way to do that. If you would like, you could send Anna your details (her email is in the description of the videos) and she could look at it for you and try to help you all save money!
Now that you guys have premiere* do yall still stay at the on site resorts knowing that you have to pay for parking instead of offsite since parking is free off site hotels and the annual pass covers free parking at theme park. ?? Im confused on this 🤔
Yes, we still stay on site! The convenience of staying on site and not having to deal with the crowds driving in is a life saver. You’d be hard pressed to find a room cheaper than endless summer most places anyway. Plus, you can sometimes get a passholder discount on the rooms!
@@ThePughTwo yes we just did this ! We noticed aventura and cabana wasnt that far offf for offsite, 50 bucks difference to beat the crowds and security is worth it .
@@ThePughTwo we want to send you guys hats to thank you for everything yall do. Where can we find your po.box. We will b there tomorrow at universal, we hope to see yall there!
You guys made me think twice on premiere now, i only wanted to for express as i do not dare wait in line for 60 to 120 min , do y'all buy express passes when y'all go each time?
In the past we always stayed at premiere hotels to get the unlimited express pass, but we actually upgraded to premiere again this year for a few reasons. 1. We just moved down here and the perks are 100% worth it as a local and 2. The premiere hotels got too expensive for us!
@@ThePughTwo yes, i noticed this too. I noticed some pass holders members justify the pass by reservation of the resort however they tend to go twice or 3 times a year... We don't! we plan on going 2 times a month at least so premiere hotels are way to expensive to that many times. Though we are still 2.5-3 hours away im questioning if premiere is worth it , we never stay for more than one night and we tent to get a cheap off site hotel instead. Now that yall are locals ! Congrats btw! .. do you feel rush of fear pass plus express passes is better option than R.IP tour . Will R.I.p tour provide the Halloween fix for the one time visit for those that aare not local . They are both similar priced
Hi love your videos! I have a question what would be the reason my husband and I would both need a preferred or premiere pass. I was thinking just one of us get the preferred and other get a power pass. We are planning on going the first week of November. Thanks for all your tips and tricks!
There isn’t really a situation where you would both have to have one of the top two tiers UNLESS you were visiting during blackout dates. We currently have a seasonal and a preferred pass!
I want to get the seasonal pass and planing at staying at the premier hotel with the free express pass am I able to still use express pass by using my seasonal pass to enter the parks? Also the passes able to get into park to park ? Like taking the hog warts train? Thanks love the videos
Hi there! Yes, your seasonal pass will get you into the parks and then you’ll use your hotel key as your express passes at the individual attractions. You can also use your annual pass to ride the Hogwarts express.
The premier pass comes with a free HHN ticket for "select" nights. When exactly is a select night? I'm guessing not friday or saturday. I can't find any details.
They haven’t released the dates for this year’s event that you’ll be able to redeem those, but they will eventually! We would suggest looking up the dates for last year’s event to get an idea of when they might be. You can see patterns with days of the week and things like that!
Question if you're going in November like the 13 through the 16 will the preferred pass be a good annual pass to purchase. Thanks this was a great video🤗
We think it’s a really good pass, but we always suggest comparing it to the ticket deals being offered. If you plan on going to the parks everyday during that stay, it’s likely that an annual pass will save you money! Thank you for watching!
Glad to know I can pick it up at the hotel because I was definitely stressing about that. 😅We’re only planning one trip this year but it was worth it to get a Power Annual Pass just to get a discounted room at Portofino Bay for Express Passes.
I recently discovered your channel right before our 1st trip to Universal last month and am so glad I did! You guys are awesome! Thx for all the great content! We are now considering an annual pass (out of state) and am curious how far in advance AP hotel discounts come out? We are thinking late Nov/early Dec (avoiding Thanksgiving for sure) but we don’t see ANY pass discounts listed online????
We’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos and that they’ve been helpful! As for the hotel discounts, it really just depends! Sometimes they have discounts 6 months in advance and sometimes they don’t release them until a month before. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to when they come out. You can always call and talk with a representative and they might be able to tell you more!
Hey Guys, Love the channel! Got a question. My son is in the Navy and got us the Freedom pass. Do you know if it has the same benefits as the UOAP for hotel, food discounts etc...? We'll be down there at the Dec 3rd and 4th OI Meet up, hope to see you there. Thanks and keep up the awesome videos.
Thank you so much! We aren’t sure if they are the exact same discounts, however we know they offer discounts to military on the hotel rooms and we would assume they are equal if not better than that of the APs! We will be there and we hope to see you as well!
I have a planned trip coming up in December, I may have a couple of opportunities before than to visit UO. Is it possible to use the future tickets and upgrade to an annual pass?
I have a question about annual passes if you guys could help: if I buy the passes this week to start using them end of the month, can I use the benefits before I get to the park? For example to make a hotel reservation with discount... or if I get a premier pass, would I have access right away to the free HHN ticket? I’m not sure if some of these benefits start as soon as buy them online, or they start after that 1st time you go to the park… Also, are there HHN discounts for the cheaper annual passes? TIA. Love this channel😁💜
Hey there Lissette! So you can buy the passes in order to book hotels right away! The pass wont start until you enter the parks, but you can still try to get passholder rates if they are available. As far as the HHN ticket. That would constitute using the pass, so say that you went tonight, your pass would activate tonight and end on this date next year. As of right now, there are no discounts for passholders on HHN multilight tickets, however you can get some discounts on single night tickets! Thank you so much for checking out the channel!
@@ThePughTwo Yes, I'm interested in single night tickets! Can you say about how much you can save on HHN as a passholder? And if I let's say go tonight to activate the pass as a premier pass holder, can I have access to a single night ticket for free this same month?
@@lissetteventura9439 As far as we know, you would have access to the free night, however, keep in mind that those are select dates! We believe the discount is 10-15% on single night tickets!
So you show up to the resort late in the evening, pick up your seasonal pass, and check in to your hotel with a discount. Does your seasonal pass start right then because you used it for a discount, or is it still not activated until you pass through the gates the next morning? It sounds like the next morning...
Thanks for the tip about picking up the pass at the hotel. On that same note, I'm going in October, do you know if you can get Horror Nights VIP tickets there as well?
Back in march we bought our 15 month annual passes. We don't plan to activate them until Oct. We thought that they did have to be activated before the end of the promo but we called a couple times and they told me it would be good for the full 15 months so now worried might not get our oct 2022 visit in if it ends right before that visit.
That was just our experience and what the representatives at Universal told us! Maybe with everything that happened in the last year they have changed that policy and you’ll get your 15 months!
@@ThePughTwo I did the same as Jeremy. I was afraid of that since I haven't bought a pass before. I did a screen shot of the conditions just in case. It said it has to be purchased by 3/31, however the first term for all passtypes is 12 months from first use. The additional applicable free months per pass type will apply at the end of the first term.
@@shstevie universal’s customer service is the best! They really try to keep customers happy, especially annual passholders. Hopefully you’ll both get the full 15 months!
I’m so confused, so if my two friends and I are going, do we all need to purchase an annual pass? We are planning to go next year January from 27-30th. Also, both my friends are in the military, do they give discounts for military personnel? Thank you so much. Your channel is amazing by the way.
Yes the annual pass is only good for one person! So if they are military, we would recommend calling Universal and getting the ticket that way because they give GREAT military discounts! Thank you so much for watching! We really appreciate it!
That’s what we currently have! Tyler has the preferred pass for the discounts and I have the seasonal pass. If blockout dates ever become an issue, you can always upgrade!
Have you ever heard of discount annual passes for out of state people like Black Friday or maybe something else? Also I’ve heard of a 20% off the following year for annual pass holders is this true?
That’s our understanding, but we’ve never heard that directly from Universal. We would suggest calling or texting them directly to make sure that’s the case!
Family of 4. Out of state. 3 of us getting Seasonal pass. 1 will have Preferred Pass. Basically for parking benefits since we will be there first week of December for 3 or 4 days. We have lodging and it is not on site. Is that a good plan? It seems good in my head. We are planning a quick visit next year at some point. Daughter home schooled so blackout dates not a concern for us. I calculated roughly 80 bucks for parking for 3 days. Difference in passes seem about 100 bucks but that is going to cost us that in parking. Get what I am saying. Just trying to justify this is a good idea? Thanks for the videos.
We absolutely think it’s a good idea! Especially if you’re planning on visiting again. And on top of the parking discounts, the preferred pass will get you discounts on food and merch in the parks, so that $100 difference will be made up quickly between parking and discounts. We hope you have an awesome time in the parks!!
okay I have a question. I'm going with my sister end of September/early October we are already booked and we have the park to park tickets for 5 days which I believe was around 477 a person each including tax. I was thinking of upgrading to the preferred pass because of the 10 percent in discounts and the discounted hotel rates. but I was wondering if I would be able to use the discounted hotel rates on the trip we have planned even though I already booked it and if so how would I go about doing it.
You could absolutely change your hotel rate to the passholder rate, if it becomes available. All you have to do is call Universal and they can make that change for you. Just throwing this out there, since you’re going in September you could also go with a seasonal pass. It doesn’t come with the 10% discount but they’re $399 for out of staters so it’d save you some $$ immediately! Plus you still have the chance to get the hotel discount.
Also, you could have people get different passes to make it a little cheaper too. You only need one preferred pass to take advantage of the 10% discounts!
The annual passes shouldn’t change prices between now and December. They don’t even change every year, but when they do change it’s always at the beginning of the year. You could absolutely go ahead and purchase them if you’d like, and we highly recommend booking your hotel rooms early!
I really enjoy your videos , on that respect I have a question about the anual passes. We are planning to go to Orlando on September with my cousin, it will be a party of five . Thinking about buying one preferred pass and possibly the rest with seasonal pass. Will the rest of the party be able to take advantage of the early park admission with my preferred pass or do we all have to have a preferred pass. Also do you guys know what exactly do they mean that parking is for free after the first visit Thank you in advance
We think that's a great idea with the annual passes! To our knowledge, yes your entire party can get into early park. Now, we would suggest calling Universal to double check that because we have only heard that second hand. Also, if you're staying on-site, you will have early park regardless! As for parking, it's just saying that you have to visit the parks the first time to pick up your pass. Once you have it, parking will be free! They just won't give you free parking on your word that you're picking up a new annual pass.
We just got back a few weeks ago and are now planning another trip in January! Yay!! I am getting the seasonal pass for my hubby and I and we snagged some great AP pass rates at royal pacific but our flight doesn’t arrive until 8pm - how do we get our passes so we can check in and get the AP rate? It looks like most ticket desks are closed at that time. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this issue!!? Any advice? Thanks 🙏
Hi Stephanie! If you have your confirmation number and explain that you’re going to pick them up in the morning, it won’t be a problem! They’re really not sticklers about this, they understand that there are extenuating circumstances sometimes. We hope you have an awesome time on your trip and congrats on becoming pass holders!
Maybe I’m lucky but I’ve used my AP for a hotel rate multiple times now and I’m yet to be asked to verify it at the front desk. Maybe that should be kept to myself? Lol
They probably have an internal note with the name, email, and address associated with both the room and your AP! Sometimes we get asked, sometimes we don’t!
Sorry if someone already ask. I already bought a 3 day ticket and want to upgrade to seasonal pass (3) and 1 preferred, if that possible? Where I have to do it, at the parks or at CityWalk? Thanks for all the tips!
I heard the Annual Pass Holder lounge was closed. Is this true? Will they build a new one? My friend said it's rumor they put the frozen coke machine in the Betty Boop store tho! Have you seen it there?
Thank you for tips guys! Just a heads up if someone decides to upgrade their AP later. ☝🏼 You won’t be able to get your 20% discount and it won’t change your AP expiration time, so you might end up loosing money.
Hello from Knoxville - Headed down late June - got the package at Royal Pacific with tickets 3 Park 3 Day - do you know if you can upgrade those to an annual pass and get credit for ticket in the package?
Go vols! We are not sure how that works with it being a vacation package. It's possible they would let you do that, so we would suggest calling (or using the text option) and asking someone with guest services about changing your tickets.
I think we will have one preferred, 2 seasonal for our family of three; if I have the preferred and am paying for food/merch- will discounts still be applied to the entire bill?
Yes! The discount will be applied to everything purchased (thats allowed)! You can even just give one of your family members your card and they can use it as well!
Can you talk about the parking benefit. It says it is after the first visit. So if I am staying at the resort 5 days with a car and I am picking up my Pref pass at the resort, how may days will I be charged? 4 days, 5 days, no days?
The parking benefits do not apply to the hotels, unfortunately. They only apply to the main parking garage for the parks that you are not allowed to use overnight. What it means when it says “after the first visit” is that when visiting for the first time, you won’t have your annual pass yet to prove that you get the discount. We hope that helps!
@ The Pugh Two What would be cool is if you had a Nintendo Switch and got animal crossing new horizons and make your island universal themed so if you miss universal just run around your island. Not saying do that just had a thought I wanted to say.
Haha that would be so cute! I (Anna) definitely don’t have the patience for that, but I love Animal Crossing and would love to see a Universal themed island!
I have regular tickets but I decided upgrading to AP. Do you think there may be a problem if I make an hotel reservation AP rate, but at the time of check-in I don't have it? Arriving like late night, so that the ticket desk of the hotel it's closed by the time. (Hahaha, kinda rare situation)
As long as you have proof of purchase, I doubt their going to cause any issue with it. You could always use Universal’s text line to ask someone though!
Do you think the express pass after 4pm is worth it? That’s one of the main reasons we are thinking of going Premier cuz we would love to avoid waiting in line as much as possible, especially when going multiple times in the evening after work. Do we both need a Premier Pass to have us both use the express line? Anything you find you miss while going from Premier to Preferred? Thanks!
If you’re locals, the premier pass absolutely makes sense! And yes, you both have to have one to use the express lines. The only downside to the premier is the price, the benefits are awesome!
@@ThePughTwo Thanks! We live 30 minutes from the park now, relatively new to Florida so this will be our first time. We will go Premier. Appreciate the info!
Your annual pass doesn’t start until you walk through the turnstiles the first time. You book the hotel discount online or by calling universal. The easiest way to find the UOAP hotel rates is by googling that phrase and clicking on the first link.
What's your favorite UOAP benefit??
Free valet/express after 4 👌🏻
free parking, discounts on merchandise and definitely makes up the price of the pass if you go at least 3 times (preferred pass)
Never was interested as I don't live in the USA and only visit Universal every other year . Sounds like it comes with nice perks though
@@coryhiers that’s definitely some of the nicer perks!
@@alphaash0 we agree! We love the preferred pass, it’s a great value for the money!
At least you didn’t waste any time in Citywalk!
i’m also doing flex pay preferred pass. so, to be clear, i HAVE TO pick up the passes at the guest services at the gate?

Your tips from this video saved my family $1,100. I purchased the cancel for anything insurance, kept checking the website for falling prices, and 30 days later, found an awesome price!!! I'm considering a Premier pass and I'm from Texas. Good to know it starts on first use. I like the after 4pm and the discounts.
Those are some of the best perks! We were definitely confused on that the first time, too, but it makes sense. We hope you enjoy your future trips!

You’re welcome and good luck! If you have question feel free to ask!
Chances are you will get the 15 months, it’s just something to be aware of! We’re glad you enjoyed the video!
We didn't know about the resort discount, and we booked using FL resident and ended up picking up our pass in the hotel (DOH). We're dumb. LOL, but the hotel ticket service is the best.
It’s usually the same as the FL rate, so you probably didn’t lose out on anything!!

We just purchased the preferred annual pass! So excited to visit the parks! Hoping to make a trip down during Thanksgiving! 😅
That’s awesome, we love the preferred pass! Thanksgiving is an awesome time to visit, we can’t wait to hear all about it!
wow this video is a life/money saver.

That’s a huge draw for that pass! We’ve said several times that if we were locals we would absolutely have the premier pass!
Really good info here! Especially about upgrading!!!
Thank you! We’re glad you enjoyed it!
The hotel discounts can save you SO much money! That’s one of the biggest benefits for those of us that aren’t local.
@@ThePughTwo Yes!! $279 a night at Portofino when we would’ve already been paying $124 for Dockside.. and free passes included! Can’t beat it.

@@erikahidalgo8596 we show you in this video exactly how to find the passholder rates! You can call, but it’s easier to just look at them online.
Where can I upgrade multi day unused tickets to AP staying at Sapphire.
Calling would probably be the easiest, but you can do it at the hotel too!
Hey Guys,
Love the channel!
Yes absolutely! You can just call Universal and upgrade to a pass.
I have a question about annual passes if you guys could help: if I buy the passes this week to start using them end of the month, can I use the benefits before I get to the park? For example to make a hotel reservation with discount... or if I get a premier pass, would I have access right away to the free HHN ticket? I’m not sure if some of these benefits start as soon as buy them online, or they start after that 1st time you go to the park…
Also, are there HHN discounts for the cheaper annual passes?
The first day of the pass will start the first time you enter the parks using the pass!
Thanks for the tip about picking up the pass at the hotel. On that same note, I'm going in October, do you know if you can get Horror Nights VIP tickets there as well?
We always pick up our HHN tickets at the hotel!
Does anyone know if you can pickup military annual passes at the hotel?
We want to say yes that we have been told that before by Universal, but we have never done it ourselves so we can't be sure!
Is there somewhere you can see historical annual pass hotel discounts for room type and discount price?
This is a great question, and I don’t think so. Your best bet would probably be to ask in a Facebook group about annual pass hotel discounts!
I'm wondering now if I should get the preffered for myself and the lowest for my son and daughter, since we don't all need the same ones. Thoughts?
That’s what we currently have! Tyler has the preferred pass for the discounts and I have the seasonal pass. If blockout dates ever become an issue, you can always upgrade!
Have you ever heard of discount annual passes for out of state people like Black Friday or maybe something else? Also I’ve heard of a 20% off the following year for annual pass holders is this true?
If you have an annual pass and renew, you do get a discount! We’ve heard of other parks doing the Black Friday sale, but not Universal!
I love your uoap videos! If we are a party of 3 and only 1 has the premier pass, the 3 can get the early admission?
That’s our understanding, but we’ve never heard that directly from Universal. We would suggest calling or texting them directly to make sure that’s the case!
So if I do flex pay I can only pick the passes up at guest services? Or can I pick those up in my universal hotel lobby???
I read the comments.. I have to go to the park before checking in 😔
Yes, unfortunately that is the case :(
We are sorry! You should check out guest services in citywalk! It’s normally not as busy! Hope this helps!
Does your annual pass have to be activated at the park before you can get the hotel discount, or just have the pass present at check in?
No! You just have to show a valid annual pass before you check out. Otherwise, you’ll be charged the current nightly rate.
@@ThePughTwo Thanks. Just bought about an hour ago. Officially Pass Holders! Even though we are from VA. Ha
@@daviddriscoll1922 we are from Tennessee and we don’t regret it!!
How is early park in Tokyo games I fan I watch the London Olympics and now this year I’m gonna watch Tokyo Olympics
I go team USA
Go team USA!
okay I have a question.
@@ThePughTwo thank y'all so much!!
Do pass prices change throughout the year? We are planning a trip for December and I'm eager to buy passes and book our hotel rooms early. Thanks!
Also do you guys know what exactly do they mean that parking is for free after the first visit
Thank you in advance
@@ThePughTwo thanks! I’ll try that. Someone else said there was a place somewhere in city walk where you get them also
@@SWilliams-01 Yes weve talked about that a few times! Its close to the escalators near Red Oven Pizza Bakery!
Yes unless it is part of a vacation package! The easiest and best way to do this would be to fall universals guest services!
Stupid question but if you buy an annual pass, how many people can use it?. Is it one per person?
Yes it is just one per person and it’s tied to your name and face!
I heard the Annual Pass Holder lounge was closed. Is this true? Will they build a new one? My friend said it's rumor they put the frozen coke machine in the Betty Boop store tho! Have you seen it there?
It is! They’re opening a new one in Toon Lagoon somewhere soon! We’re not sure where, though!
So helpful. Thank you!
We love hearing that!
Thank you for tips guys! Just a heads up if someone decides to upgrade their AP later. ☝🏼 You won’t be able to get your 20% discount and it won’t change your AP expiration time, so you might end up loosing money.
Those are great points, thank you!!
Do you only get a dining discount if you mobile order or can you show your pass and get the discount anywhere?
You can show your pass and get a discount anywhere!
Can you get early admission if you get the lowest tier seasonal pass?
Currently no, however there are times when they allow EPA with every level of annual pass!
Can you upgrade from park to park ticket to seasonal pass?
Absolutely! As long as you haven't used the ticket, Universal is always happy to help you upgrade!
@@ThePughTwo thanks- love you two!

You could always use Universal’s text line to ask someone though!
can discounted multi-day tickets be purchased at the UOAP lounge or can they only be purchased at the gate?
Only at the gate!
if you book a room and at a later date they release the pass holder rates, can you get the new passholder rate instead?
Yes! All you have to do is call and they will fix it for you!
Great video. Sub’d
Thank you Kent! Happy to have you here!
I want to get the top pass it seems to have a lot of benefits
It definitely comes with the most benefits! It’s worth it, too, if you use them all!
Say you buy the annual pass in January as an example and you book in June your vacation. How you get the discount how does that work?
Your annual pass doesn’t start until you walk through the turnstiles the first time. You book the hotel discount online or by calling universal. The easiest way to find the UOAP hotel rates is by googling that phrase and clicking on the first link.
