    Yes it's true bakso street vendor was often use as cover. There's a couple of reason why.
    1. Bakso usually sold on two wheeled wagon. So they're mobile. They can go to any neighborhood and no one would suspect bakso seller.
    2. They often operate until 2-3 am as a past midnight snacks option.
    3. Unlike nasi goreng street vendor, you don't have to know how to cook. Because serving bakso was just putting every ingredients into the bowl and then pour the pre made soup.
    They don't just use this to track terrorist activities, but also other crime like drug dealings, gang crime, etc.

    Actually the way they served gado gado is totally different by what we have gado gado here. They served it separate from the peanut sauce, thats why it seems not much flavor in it. I am sorry but there's lots of wrong informations
    1. Eat nasi goreng using spoon, not chopstick
    2. Gado-gado means mix, so all vegetables and peanut sauce should mixed up together with all condiments to create delicious taste
    3. Nasi lemak is Malaysia's traditional food. Indonesia has similar food it called Nasi Uduk with different condiments
    Anyway.. I love Uncle D reactions.. very interesting.. I hope Uncle D can taste real Indonesia cuisine as soon as possible

  • @Advent2gep40

    Yes, the undercover thing is real. When we hear the word undercover here, we think of cops driving unmarked cars and hide and pull people over, basically hiding to get minor offenses or trivial things just to get easy money. Over there there are no unmarked cars pulling people over, so when they say undercover, they stay in character for months and years just surveilling their assigned areas. Some as street vendors, street sweeper, or even pretend to be crazy hobo. Sometimes their surroundings only know that they're a cop when they passed away, because then they would have a cop funeral. At least that was my experience by living there 16 years

    • @WatchingTheWorldWithD
      @WatchingTheWorldWithD  2 місяці тому +2

      Yup you are not wrong, over here its to steal as much money from the public as you can to load up the police district funds for great retirement and benefits for the officers who most have not actually stopped a crime ever - its about writing tickets and sitting in their cars all day with the AC blasting and on their mobile phones (which I see them on while driving all the time) (thats a ticket for me if they catch me)
