I have been experimenting with James' approach to Yancha brewing and found that I cannot go back haha. Some Wuyi's that I initially don't like the roast on end up being my favourite when they sweeten on the 5th brewing. I wouldn't have found this out if I had used less leaf for longer brew times. Flash brewing on 1st-3rd steep seems to avoid all bitterness for me so far (100ml Yixing filled up). Thanks for the top tips guys. Love the channel, keep up the great videos
I don't have chinese grocery stores where i come from. Anyway now i am travelling. And was in a chinese supermarket. But instead of the seadyke brand i chose the Dunhuang Shui Xian which is very dissappointing even when gongfu'd with a high leaf to water ration.
A bit of a stab in the dark, but Is that yixing one of those Korean Ceramic Arts Festival Factory 1 pots? There's one that looks alike on Life in a Teacup so I was just wondering.
Tea DB ah OK, I thought it looked similar. What do you think of it/the tea it brews? I like the size and shape but it's hard to say more than that from the vantage point of my iPad.
It's pretty good. Pours very fast which is nice but the pour is also a bit sloppy. Didn't bother me too much. The shape is good for long, thin leaves like Wuyi or Dancong.
You guys are so fun to watch. I'm amazed by how James rattles off so many facts about each tea. Keep kicking ass!
Thanks Cody :).
Cheers!
