Bellroy Tokyo Tote Review : Best Organized Work Bag

I have been looking for a work bag with organized compartments already incorporated in the bag. Enter the Bellroy Tokyo Tote Bag which fits my criteria. The bag offers so many compartments in which it can fit up to 2 bottles / shoes on the side compartment, 13 inch laptop (slim size without case for better fit), some gym wears, phones, wallets, keys and etc.
The number of items that you can fit in this bag is countless. What makes me happy is the Bellroy Tokyo Tote can fit my water bottle, coffee flask, food container, laptop, Filofax planner, wallet, my 2 phones and iPad as well. The bag is light because it is made of polycanvas recyclable material. I am so in love with this bag and I feel my hands are free now when I walk from my office to my car because all my stuff are in this bag. Previously, I use to carry 3 to 4 different items (food bag, water bottle, coffee flask and my medium size work bag) in my hand. The best thing is you can just view and grab the things that you want to take out from the bag because it opens wide. So, if you are looking for a work bag or bag that has compartments, organized and fits a lot of stuff, the Bellroy Tokyo Tote Bag should be in your list.

I was shopping for this bag on Feb 17th and picked the Off white-Maroon-ish color (came with a cool discount). We were mighty impressed with its capabilities. My wife is using it as a daily driver carrying a lot of books with some room to spare.
I like the bag because of the space as well. It’s like a never ending bag coz you can keep stuffing things into it and there will still have some space.

Actually, the bag is marketed for unisex 😄. The main models used for this bag ads were men. So, you can definitely try it
Does it fit the 14 inch macbook pro? I couldn't find any review mentioned about it.
Hi, I have the Macbook Air 13 inch M2 model. I'm not sure which 14 inch model macbook pro is yours, but I did check out the size of the latest 14 inch model of Macbook Pro. Based on the size, I am pretty sure it will fit into the laptop pocket of the tote bag because my 13 inch macbook air with case still had some room on the sides when I put it into the pocket. Hope this answer helps.

How smooth is the exterior fabric? My MUJI one is so rough, my clothes is being worn out as the bag rubbed against it. :-(
No worries, the exterior is a smooth fabric. None of my clothes were ruined by it.

This is definitely a great bag for Mac 13inch.
Does the bottom sag when loaded with weight? And does bottom corners wear excessively? Thank you
If you put Squarish stuff, it doesn’t sag. But if you just put thin but heavy things, the bag will sag at the bottom. However, with the stuff I have shown in the video, the bag doesn’t sag at the bottom and it holds it shape. I’ve been using it for the past 2 years and I place my bag in a carpeted floor. So far the bottom part is still good.
I have even put it in the washing machine to wash it and it came back good as new. The material is really durable.

How does this material do with dog hair/lint?
I’m not sure actually but I’ve been using it quite a while on daily basis and never had problem with lint.
Do you think this would be suitable for men?
I think it’s a matter of preference. This color in particular can be suitable for men. In fact, the ad in Bellroy showed a man carrying the bag. I have seen men carrying similar tote and to me it looked great on them.
While that being said, I know most men may think a tote meant for women. Therefore they may prefer backpack instead. You can check out other range in bellroy that provide similar space and functions.
@@HitchandHitched thank you! I’m actually looking for a tote bag as I’ve been carrying an old canvas tote everywhere for ages now and need something more presentable. Surprised to see branded totes being sold for outrageous prices everywhere and this one seems to be the most reasonably priced.

Hey! I know this video is a year ago but i came across this video and i was wondering if this is a good bag for school? I might get it since it looks pretty big and nice pockets for a bag to travel to school.
This is a perfect bag for school because it does accommodate a lot of things. Text books, files, laptop up to 13inch. You can even fit your shoes in one of the compartments. It’s also very sturdy bag where it doesn’t get torn easily

I notice that the straps don’t go around the bag like the rains tote does, will it rip if too heavy.
Nope, it doesn't and I have carried pretty heavy stuff. It is very very strong.

The 14" laptop will not fit into the laptop pocket. Alternatively, you can put it in the main compartment, but it may compromise the water bottle area.

The yellow bottle I have in this bag is 30oz. I'm pretty sure the 18oz will fit perfectly.

I don’t have a 15inch laptop but I think it will fit. However, you might not be able to use the big side pockets for the bottles or shoes.

Hi, this one is the bigger tote which is the 15L size.
Is it water proof?
I have spilled water in this bag and unfortunately, the water did seep through. The second edition of the tote did mention that the fabric is waterproof though.
Not the best review I've ever seen but looks like a decent tote bag.
