Excellent video and channel. Subscribed as I’m an Azure junkie and this is one of the best And I even pay for a lot of my online training. You guys are amazing
Thanks Kiran, I will also pass that along to Jack! I do have several other Networking videos...but tell me if there is something specific you are looking for. check out my video on Azure Front Door here - ua-cam.com/video/6PK88DDU3K4/v-deo.html
I liked the Traffic manager video. Good Demo with all features. Suggestion is to make a good video on AKS. May be it will be of longer duration. But it will help for sure. Thanks if you can consider
Our AKS Series is kicking off this next week...however, we are jumping right into Service Mesh...this is because of a recent product release on Open Service Mesh...which you can learn about here openservicemesh.io/ but we are also doing a containers basics and a AKS foundation...so we will be able to help folks who are new to this space as well See you Sunday 12:00pm EST for the premiere!
Really great videos!! Is it possible to use ATM for FTP servers running in azure? Been having a slight challenge getting PASV FTP to work in a HA setup using ALB so thought this might work instead.
Yes...but remember that ATM is a DNS Load imbalancer Service, you need to have VMs and services available in multiple regions to have ATM load balancer your DNS
Nice video. How can we track the end point failure/ dips in traffic manger. Is it any way to check what will be the cause and how we can fix it.. and can u please explain difference between traffic manger and load balancer.... Thank you. Waiting for Ur response.
+Casper Naudts, you can use Traffic Manager for root records (for example, jackstromberg.com). First create your Traffic Manager Profile (i.e. jackstromberg.trafficmanager.net). Once you have the record, you can go to your DNS provider and either use CNAME flattening or an ALIAS record to handle this value. For example, in Azure DNS, you'd create a new record, Set Alias Record set to Yes, select Alias type to Azure Resource, and then point to your traffic manager resource. Hope this helps!

Hi, can we do the lab if we do not want to purchase the custom domain? Can we not access app services through traffic manager URL itself?
Yes you can
very nice video, appreciate the efforts. Subscribed for more such videos :)
Thanks Kiran, I will also pass that along to Jack!

There are multiple network entry services in Azure...I explain them all in my Front Door video check it out - ua-cam.com/video/6PK88DDU3K4/v-deo.html
Thank you for the information. Can you please explain how to export logs from traffic manger and analysis. It will be helpful
like all other resources in Azure...using the Diagnostic Settings. Send the data to a storage account, Log Analytics workspace or Event Hub
Super sad that this only works for sub domains and not root records ☹. Would love to see the power of such a solution with root records.

I will have a look at this solution. Thanks
