i guess pragg lost the first game yesterday with aronian mainly due to time pressure...If he had more time, he could have done his calculations in better way and could have had a draw. and, this has been the case with him consistently that he always fall short of time towards the end, and some how manages it. I think after this first game loss to aronian, he realized his mistake and did better in 2nd game with anish. this is the way to go - not to take too much time for each move and end up short of time towards end game.
Yes but most of the people lose in rapid because of time. Otherwise these are gms and it won't be difficult for them to find best moves if there was no time pressure.
That's the thing with time management--sure, you can take more time and you'll probably get a better position than the opponent, but it won't turn into a win if you don't leave enough time to win.
