There are definitely times where it is a better solo game to keep things easier. When oracles and RNG are driving so much of the plot and engine it will not take too long before chaos reigns. Dialing that back a little when you can help find that narrative balance without spending years trying to solve a never ending mystery/story. I really enjoyed the balance you struck in this one.
Thank you! It really can spin out of control if you let it and I am very wary of it, especially for this show. Although since I put this out, I have obviously thought of a good way I could have made that miss work, but too late now!
@@thebadspot One of the best random number generators at the table is our own brain and how it interprets and weaves the stuff *right then*. There are so many times where later I go, "Wait, I could have done it [this or way or that]" but that particular slice of me pulled some weird solution out of seeming nowhere and I love that part of the hobby.
This episode and this whole series is soooo fun to watch ! I absolutely love what you have created for now, and how much you show the so important sides of talking and deciding where to go outside of RP, and how it's as much important as the roleplay. It's really inspiring, and helped me so much in my own ironsworn games. The feeling of really witnessing the turning of gears in the moment is incredibly fun. Thank you so much for creating all this ! /gen /vpos
I'm really getting close to buying Sundered Isles. It's mostly a budget of time and money to square up. Until then, vicarious adventuring it is. Lovely videos!
Great episode! I think I missed your previous work because I'm not that into sci-fi, which is why I chose the original Ironsworn over Starforged for playing myself. But now, I definitely need to catch up on your Starforged seasons during the breaks between new episodes of this campaign.
An Epic vow with like seven episodes to go in the story? That's surprising! If you pull it off, maybe it'll give me the courage to finally go above Dangerous rank with my vows, lol.
Lorenzo casually flicks the token to the oceanic-Uber-ship like a VIP. And why does Gideon and the smugglers feel like Flynn rider with the two big brooding brothers from Tangled? Now I want Gideon wanted posters with some obvious unflattering flaw throughout the isles XD
I think you would’ve been totally justified in giving your iron vow a Formidable or Extreme rank rather than Epic. But maybe that’s cuz I’d love to see Gideon interact with Felicity sooner rather than later lol
Yeah, I messed that up a bit. Sabrina should be Formidable and the vow Extreme. Shows how rarely I go above Troublesome and Dangerous I don't know what the other 3 ranks are called...
Great episode as always! When it comes to Sundered Isles, is there any sort of app for it yet? Something along the lines of Stargazer, which is amazing.
Isn't the "Dangerous" connection supposed to mark two boxes per milestone, and the "Epic" only supposed to mark one tick? I wouldn't blame you for recategorizing the "Find Felicity Devreaux" vow as "Extreme", but you should definitely take the benefits for the Governess' connection! You've earned it! I am really enjoying this, and feel it's starting to get its tone and vibe down.

Glad you're enjoying it! I really like talking through the decisions and I hope people get something out of it. Thanks for watching!
Lorenzo proudly displaying wrong items got a laugh out of me 😂
I love that little goofball!
Nicely done! What a treat to return from holidays to this :)
Nice little post holiday treat!
Always enjoy your Ironsworn series, you're an inspiration for budding writers.
Thank you! I'm really enjoying playing this one.
just so you know already at this early stage of play: i'm here for capital ship combat.

This is inspiring me to play some SI myself tonight. Cant wait to discover what my isles look like.
That's awesome!

Something tells me this vow might be quite the adventure...
My only regret is that I'm caught up on this story. Now i have to wait for the next session. 😢
Won't be too long now...

Gideon is SO Flynn Rider coded.

Thank you! I heard one is in the works. The creator lurks in the Ironsworn discord and is pretty active, so maybe you will get an answer there...

You are absolutely correct, Sabrina should be Formidable and the vow Extreme. I got my words jumbled up!
