That’s the wise way to utilize the extra motor. If not you’d have to have twice the amount of batter if not more to equal why you get with half the clutter/weight. Awesome job, Citizen,
The power difference is amazing. The Aventon was a bit more efficient stock, using only 23.2 watt hours per mile. With the kit, the bike used 28.3 watt hours per mile, but that is expected due to the extra weight and higher power peaks. Totally worth it though!
A while back your dad mentioned not caring for the "fish-tailing" effect of a step through ebike. Maybe sometime you could explain exactly what he meant and how adding the front motor affected that on your Aventon? Thanks!!

I'm wondering why you went with the RST Guide forks? I'm looking to upgrade my dual motor bike and all the forks I see look to be the same with different stickers. I need to find one that's not going to leave me stranded or worse. Thanks! Keep up the vids, always a good watch! 👍

Very Cool! Range is my first interest, acceleration is second and I don't care to go any faster than 40 MPH on a bike... 🙂
I got 44 miles on my first range test with the Aventon, using a mix of throttle and non-throttle on mostly hilly ground, and trying to do a lot of max-speed riding. I experienced the same drop off in battery power as you did when it got down to the low meter reading. Strangely, I also saw the meter rise a couple of percent a few times, then drop. Aventon should look into their metering. Currently I'm doing another test using just Econ mode and riding on flat ground, at normal speed. So far, I'm at 15 miles and 89% remaining on the battery. Test is on hold, until air temperatures get back above 50 degrees here.
I can see where the 2nd battery/motor help your range. But would it be any better than just carrying a 2nd battery that could be swapped in to go further and get me home? I'm thinking about buying the 2nd battery, to test that out.
Of course, your system has a big attraction ..... you can use the throttle at higher speeds than my single throttle will do, and you accelerate better.
Super rad upgrade… but for me a bit complex… i bought a WALLKE H9AWD 48v 60aH and out of the box I’m achieving darn near the same that you’re getting… and WALLKE sells a 20aH battery pack to add to the 60 giving you 80aH’s of range … and the range I’m getting stock is about 70-80 miles running mixed between both motors … check it out , I think you’ll dig it !
What's your avg and top speed
@@andyfumo8931 on flat I avg 32/33 mph which I think is good then you average my range and if I do it right I’m sure I can get 80+ on 1 battery fully charged…

Hey Bryan, I noticed you don’t have the front fender on since the Aventon Adventure 2 comes standard with it. Is that by choice or the fender doesn’t fit with the replacement fork? Thanks

How does you kit differ than the already available hub drive kits off amazon? 🤔
Mine is a geared hub motor that fits the front fork drop out. I don't know of any other kit on the market like mine..
I have a Vitilan i7 Pro 1st generation 48v 740w with 16ah battery. It has mag wheels. They sell the wheel with 750 motor for $519 . Could you build the res of the kit for me? Thanks

Ok, I have never seen the battery you are using. It looks square shaped instead of rectangle. Do you have a model number so that we can look up the specs on it? I would consider putting it on my front rack. Do you have any thoughts of the battery being possibly too much weight on the front?
My battery is 6x7x3in and weighs 7.5lbs
