is there any way through which we can switch sharing mechanism based on some user account flag value means if true all records in a particular community account are visible to all user of that account , if false only record owned by users should be visible?

I want to do the same with external customer users and it won't work ;/ Anyone know if similar functionality exists for that scenario?
