PATAGONIA NON STOP - EP 4: LA BELLA Y LA BESTIA, COCHAMO

Tras haber estado por primera vez en la pared de "El Monstruo" en el Valle de Cochamó, Agustin Pelletieri y Albert Segura volvieron para abrir una ruta de 1200 metros: La bella y la bestia, 6b.

Maravilloso, hace un par de días tuve la fortuna de ir a acampar a La Junta y me comentaron de la pared el Monstruo, al ver el video ya me emociona de ir a verlo con mis propios ojos

Hi! I have got some information on La Bestia Valley ( the beast) and El Monstruo (The Monster) in Cochamo :
La Bestia Valley's marsh is an isolated place that is fragile and unique. We all have to take care of it. If you decide to go climb El Monstruo, please try to never leave the approach trail and to treat this delicate ecosystem with respect. Leave no trace principles are mandatory. Please be quiet and do not scream in that valley particularly.
La Bestia Valley is a really remote place, far away from any help, with a difficult and technical approach. You need a good and long weather window to go there. Being on the wall on a rainy day would be apocalyptic. There is no posible rescue.
The top section of El Monstruo might not resemble the route description, and it can change drastically depending on whatever the current snow/ice conditions are. You might not be able to access the belay stations on the upper part of the wall. Crampons and ice axes are mandatory!
