  • To replace the module you will need:
    1) Torx Drive Bit T-15
    2) Wrench and/or socket wrench 5/16
    3) Star socket E-4 (for 1/4" drive)
I had to replace my module because the hazard light switch in it malfunctioned. It would turn itself on due to the crack or broken off piece in the base of its plastic housing (inside). I demonstrate the problem at the beginning of the video by pushing the switch from the side and it pops up. Then I can even pull up the loose housing. Normally it should stay in pressed down (OFF) position. I discovered the problem one morning when I noticed the hazard lights blinking (all night) on their own and I couldn't turn them off because the switch kept popping back up. As a temporary solution I had to put the masking tape over the switch in order to keep it down in OFF position until I got the replacement.
