Obvious that Chino's a Pumpkins fan - asked what song he wants to do and instead of one of the big hits from Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie he chooses Snail off of Gish. Performed it well, too. Much respect.
He also sang bodies. Would have been easy to sing BWBFW because people expect him to scream. I’m glad he showed more
I love how Chino isn’t afraid to get up with other artists on stage and go for it. So happy for him and grateful for his never ending love for music.
Nah, the guy seemed pretty nervous for this one. The reason you see him featured or joining in on stage as a guest is because he truly has a very eclectic palate for music.
he's criminally underrated vocalist. hes up there with Chris Cornell and Layne Staley to me
It helps that he has a great voice. I don't really see the nerves that other people are talking about. More that they probably only rehearsed these songs once at soundcheck and so he was making sure he was super present, paying attention.
I also love when he did the kill by 30 seconds to Mars live, but you could tell he was just doing that song to do it, he’s said in interviews how huge of an influence pumpkins were on him, so even though he killed it here you can tell he was a little more nervous about not being on. Which he was this and bodies are both so dam on point ❤️❤️
As a huge Chino and Pumpkins fan it was no surprise to me that Chino picked possibly my favorite Pumpkins song. Tough to choose tho.
When I was 11 my best friend and I would pretend to sing like Chino by cupping our hands and screaming as hard as we could. When I was 13 I would lock myself into my room with headphones on and pretend to be Billy Corgan as my brother laughed as hard as he could from the other room. Deftones and Smashing pumpkins will forever be a part of my DNA and this right here is just magical beyond words

It really means something to have Chino's respect as a band and artist. He's definitely one of my favorites.

Always loved those fills through the triplet-feel section - classic Jimmy, building with the song, but never being overly flashy.
I like how he's so chill playing rock music. Jazzy feel hard hitter.
Fucking right. I've always said that Jimmy is one of the greatest drummers of all time, and well deserves to be in that pantheon. Such a shame that I saw The Pumpkins on the leg of the Mellon Collie tour after he got kicked out of the band. Well, as they say, whatever will be; will be. At least I got to see them.

Love the Smashing Pumpkins... A lot of their songs reminded me of this quote I found in a book..."From the wounded soul, comes poetry and music. In return, music and poetry heals the soul."
The title of the book is: "Midnight Writings by a Distant Mind Lost in Time." I ordered it on amazon, it was a great read.

Todd Ryan I lived in Lake Forest, Chicago now. My mom still works in Arlington Heights. Aaanyway, I was at the August 13th show & almost lost my shit when they went into Drown. And of course Mayonaise. Their peak was before my time. Plus I was on the other side of the planet. Either way, was grateful to experience this

Glad I found this. Sophomore year in college, this was and remains my favorite song off "Gish", my favorite SP album. And the Deftones are probably in my top 10 bands of all time so I glad Chino chose this song. I literally was wondering if there was a you tube cover of him singing this song after seeing his cover of the Cures', "if tonight I could only sleep." This made my day.

Not a Big Corgan fan, but he wrote some great songs and he knows his way around the guitar.Also he is pretty intelligent( when he sets weirdness aside ).This was pretty good! I know first SP album rocked the hardest.
