Your videos are always motivating, but I really needed this one - a few weeks ago, I got a life-threatening infection in a toe and it wound up having to be amputated. Before the infection was controlled, I gained 32 pounds of water weight (I've had peripheral edema before, but this was around my waist too - it's pretty much gone, but I'm still on a diuretic), and between that and the IV antibiotics spent a week in hospital and have now been stuck at home for two more weeks. I'd been making solid gains before all this happened (a coworker even said I was looking downright swole), but right now I look like I haven't touched a weight in years. Had a few days where I got seriously depressed, but seeing what you've had to go through and what you accomplished here has really helped me get back to normal, and now I've been cleared to start lifting again (light at first, and no legs other than curls/extensions) next week, really looking forward to it! I don't have a competition to train for, but I do have a vacation in early September and want to make as much progress as I can for that. Thanks, Mo!
