These past few years have sucked for everyone in general, but I'm glad that HoloMyth came into existence. These ladies have done a wonderful job with entertaining us and putting out so much content. They are very talented, hard workers. I hope someday that they get to meet in person.

I must applaud Calli once more for being an absolutely incredible lyricist. Her ability to write incredibly elegant and layered verses that are also extremely personal not only to herself, but to whoever is singing the lyrics she writes is incredible, and in my opinion, only matched by a few. I just realized that Amelia's line, "if there's no world for us to touch and to see, we'll make it ourselves and make memories" could refer to the situation where this world won't allow them to see eachother, but that didn't stop them from creating a world where they could see eachother and share their fun and sadness together, and that is the virtual world (or VRchat).
That’s pretty much exactly they point of her verse. It was Ame who put together the VR so they could interact, even if the real world prevents them from meeting.
That's really what the feel of the entire song is, it's their longing to finally be united, and the strength they've had to do as much as they have and grow as close as they have while being like... actually the world apart.

I really like how those lyrics have relation to the girls who sang them. “…Painted in wishes…” -Ina is an artist “Fish out of water, bound to the sea… I bet this moment’s a wave we can ride” -Gura is a shark/ someone from Atlantis, which is in the sea “We can rise from the ashes…” -Kiara being a Phoenix, a mythical bird that revives from ash “There ain’t a mystery out brain cannot solve…” - Amelia is a detective I don’t actually know what relation Calli has with her verse. This song is just DRIPPING with their desire to all be together and finally hang out in person. You can see it in the lyrics, hear it in the melody, and feel it in the passion they put forth in making this song and MV happen. I’m just so proud of Myth and the amazing talent they have behind each and every face.

It's a small detail, but Calli crediting everyone not once but twice at the start and end of the video really shows how much she appreciates the people she works with and how much she wants the world to see and be proud of their hard work. One of the most genuine online personalities I've seen.

HoloMyth, as a fan who is separated from their closest friends by over a thousand miles I want to tell you how this hits home. We have had the opportunity to meet once, it took over ten years and you better believe I drove over 20 hours in one day's time before collapsing of exhaustion but it was all worth it because I was traveling with a purpose. Calli gets bonked for working too much lol. In her outfit reveal, she was talking about how J-Chad straight up shut her down on doing four streams in one day.
Honestly they are all unfathomably talented. Ina's art is amazing, Ame puts so much work into the technical stuff we don't see a lot of but the other girls praise her so much for putting a lot of things together, plus her singing has come so far. Kiara is also very good at organizing and I feel like has shown herself herself as a great leader by taking charge of a lot of things, and Gura has shown great dedication and aptitude to practice and become really great at things, for example the mario kart tournament. Like how great she is at rhythm games, if she practices she is really amazing. These girls are all so inspiring it makes me want to great things as well.
Yesterday alone, she streamed Jump King for 8 hours, ran a members' karaoke rebroadcast for another 2 hours, stayed up all night finishing the MV, then did her outfit reveal and the Worms collab. She does enough work for 3 people.

Honestly, as an introvert, covid has not been that bad to me. But the moments like their first collab, their Walfie VR stream and that last Calli and Kiara karaoke makes me cry and so mad at covid...I hope the world gets better and the borders lifted soon. For now I’m just telling myself that they might have more time to practice dances and singing because as soon as those borders lifted they gonna be get together and also with a 3D concert. it's been hard on everybody, hang in there :) I sort of stick to myself mostly, but it's hard to explain, there is a real difference between [not socializing much] and [can't socialize.] You'd think no change but it's a huge change that you feel more over time. Even being able to go back to the office and get back into routines helped unwind the stress. Even so most are working remotely or in the office part of the time. Take care of yourself, we gotta make it through this!

Extro: Oh, all set for the pandemic then I see. Intro: What pandemic? If I had not had a job, I would have been just like this and probably never started college (almost done).

Gura may not have something physical to give them, but I really feel like she's the glue that makes them gel really well. Sure, there's Calli and Kiara that have a good chemistry, but Gura has just gelled so well with every single member. There's AmeSame, obviously, but Surf And Turf (Kiara and Gura) is so cute together and the Bone Bros are, of course, just amazing. She's even really gelled with the HoloCouncil really well. Her and Kronii are just amazing together and her and Bae get along pretty well, too, from what I've seen.
Gura is the person who can banter and still continue with said banter She’s versatile in whatever is thrown at her and can easily adapt to the situation
The line "fish out of water, bound to the sea" really resonates with me, like it represents the feeling of "this is not where i belong, and yet i'm stuck here anyway" ...damn that's deep. And what's even deeper is what i think the message of this song as a whole that represents their desire to finally, after waiting for what feels like a thousand years, meet with each other in person. Truly a masterpieces.

Gura and Kiara had a background in music I believe while Ina was a pleasant surprise. Myth as a whole is very talented which is why I believe that even though it was hard for Cover to support them overseas, they were still able to go so far with just their skills.

Also see what Calli meant when talking about tearing up while working on the MV, those collabs popping up at the end really hits you in the feels making you remember all of the fun memories made so far with HoloMyth. You really can hear and feel all of the girls' personalities mingle well together. Lyrically powerful too. It does great work of taking all of their accomplishments, challenges, and future goals and mold them together thematically. MV was amazing wok by Calli. I wasn't prepared for the stream of video thumbnails chocked full of Walfie chibi clips. Really shows how much WORK these girls put in to come together and find a way to do their thing. It's amazing how much they've done that doesn't get in the way of Cover's once-they're-in-Japan to-do list. I'm awestruck. This is fantastic. I'm gonna click replay now.

It's a small detail, but Calli crediting everyone not once but twice at the start and end of the video really shows how much she appreciates the people she works with and how much she wants the world to see and be proud of their hard work. One of the most genuine online personalities I've seen.

HoloMyth, as a fan who is separated from their closest friends by over a thousand miles I want to tell you how this hits home. We have had the opportunity to meet once, it took over ten years and you better believe I drove over 20 hours in one day's time before collapsing of exhaustion but it was all worth it because I was traveling with a purpose. Honestly they are all unfathomably talented. Ina's art is amazing, Ame puts so much work into the technical stuff we don't see a lot of but the other girls praise her so much for putting a lot of things together, plus her singing has come so far. Kiara is also very good at organizing and I feel like has shown herself herself as a great leader by taking charge of a lot of things, and Gura has shown great dedication and aptitude to practice and become really great at things, for example the mario kart tournament. Like how great she is at rhythm games, if she practices she is really amazing. These girls are all so inspiring it makes me want to great things as well.
Yesterday alone, she streamed Jump King for 8 hours, ran a members' karaoke rebroadcast for another 2 hours, stayed up all night finishing the MV, then did her outfit reveal and the Worms collab. She does enough work for 3 people.
I'm crying. I'm so proud of them.

Honestly, as an introvert, covid has not been that bad to me. But the moments like their first collab, their Walfie VR stream and that last Calli and Kiara karaoke makes me cry and so mad at covid...I hope the world gets better and the borders lifted soon. it's been hard on everybody, hang in there :) I sort of stick to myself mostly, but it's hard to explain, there is a real difference between [not socializing much] and [can't socialize.] You'd think no change but it's a huge change that you feel more over time. Even being able to go back to the office and get back into routines helped unwind the stress. Even so most are working remotely or in the office part of the time. Myth as a whole is very talented which is why I believe that even though it was hard for Cover to support them overseas, they were still able to go so far with just their skills.

I totally see now why Gura mentioned having trouble containing herself from humming the melody on stream, this song is super catchy. Also see what Calli meant when talking about tearing up while working on the MV, those collabs popping up at the end really hits you in the feels making you remember all of the fun memories made so far with HoloMyth. Fantastic song, so excited that they talked about doing more original songs together in the future now that they know they are able to do so.

When you realize that "Journey Like a Thousand Years" could also be interpreted as breaking free from their previous stagnant lives, freeing themselves, and finally meeting each other for the first time. If I'm not mistaken, at least some of the lyrical inspiration of this is their struggle to meet IRL, which hits really hard as someone with friends I can't visit due to COVID myself. Especially the line Ame sang "If there's no world for us to touch or to see, we'll make it ourselves then make memories!"

It took less than 6 months from this song for the first full offcollab to happen, so happy for them all.
You really can hear and feel all of the girls' personalities mingle well together. Lyrically powerful too. It does great work of taking all of their accomplishments, challenges, and future goals and mold them together thematically. MV was amazing wok by Calli. I wasn't prepared for the stream of video thumbnails chocked full of Walfie chibi clips. Really shows how much WORK these girls put in to come together and find a way to do their thing. It's amazing how much they've done that doesn't get in the way of Cover's once-they're-in-Japan to-do list. I'm awestruck. This is fantastic. I'm gonna click replay now.

I know Myth or Treat is their first "original" song, but I feel like this is going to be their "Gen Song" like how the JP Gens each kind of have a signature song. Can't wait for the day we get to see them in full 3D, idol costumes, performing on the HoloStage!

Holomyth came to us when we really needed something to give us the strength to keep pressing on. These girls have touched so many lives just by being themselves, and it has been such a joy to see them grow and evolve. As Calli had said before, they really didn't have anyone to guide them when they started, but they have forged themselves into something special. Here's hoping things that have been holding us down will finally move out of the way this year. Thank you Gura, Calli, Ina, Watson and Kiara. Thank you for all the laughter and joy you bring.
