I spent years building up a basketball card collection. I worked hard and used my own money to buy them. The freemasons sent a older man to steal some of them from me when I was a child. $20 is more tempting than $30 for sure, but 80%-90% of these blasters are still going to be busts probably. And I think we’ll see these blasters go even lower in price.

I definitely like these because we also have those blasters on clearance at my Walmart (along with Select Baseball, Optic Baseball, Ginter Baseball, and Chronicles Basketball) and I definitely think about grabbing one every single time I go in. Then I find myself asking if it’s still worth it at $17-$20 and, if so, which blaster to get… so these videos are appreciated.
Panini is actually beginning to put more stuff in the basketball sets. This year Mosaic Basketball premiered the Razzle Dazzle case hit. But yeah, basketball retail is beyond rough and hobby isn’t much better. I’ve pretty much given up collecting basketball. It’s just so painful.

When I got back into collecting last year, I was ripping basketball retail and I wasn't having fun and hitting absolutely nothing. Then I found the magic of baseball cards, significantly more enjoyable to rip and collect. I dumped basketball and Panini like a bad habit! I gave away every single basketball card I own (which wasn't much).

History repeats itself. In another 5 years the hobby will continue to go down and over the next 10 it will be back to what it was in the mid 90s imo. Its alot of fun but some of the prices are crazy.
I’ve noticed the select and illusions on clearance at my local Walmart, have held off since what you’ve shown has been what I figured they’d be…now if it was football, I’d probably roll the dice.

Basketball retail needs to add chasers. Donruss needs downtowns and mosaic needs another football retail hit like honeycombs. Shit is just sad and will remain clogging the shelves without any changes

I just watched your video and went to Walmart and they didn’t have prizm but had a ton of illusion 21 and 22 and select. 3 optic and I grabbed one. Pulled a purple Cade and a holo Giddey. They all looked in great condition too.

I've been staying away from retail and hobby basketball products for a while now. I've avoided these clearance items and only pickup clearance baseball products which have been delivering!

I grabbed one Select blaster and got a Giddey silver and a green/white/purple. Definitely can’t complain
Wish I could get them on clearance in Australia as our retail prices are just ludicrous.

I bought one of the select on clearance and I should have spent my money at Taco Bell instead. Retail basketball is horrible but I had to try I guess. All of panini is over priced if you ask me. I’ve been buying a lot of Topps chrome. Even retail you get autos and numbered cards.

I will let it rot, was not a fan of retail basketball, but I am a fan of the Topps baseball 2022 A&G, Heritage high number and the Topps update on clearance for $17 when I find them.😌

I just picked up the select basketball ones.
I saw some (no prizm unfortunately) but I decided to pick up clearance baseball instead. Grabbed a prizm baseball and topps gallery. Hit a numbered card outta both! (I gotta edit the videos for my card channel haha). But yeah, to me, it wasn't worth paying 3 extra bucks on boxes you cant hit anything out of. And i know nothing about basketball, I just love the cracked ice and I know the market can be high depending on who you hit.
My best hit out of prizm basketball last year was Austin Reaves green pulsar /25, haven’t hit anything close to it since lol

Last week I grabbed a 2022-23 Select basketball blaster from target and pulled a premier level tiger prizm of Zion Williamson.
Wish I could have $20 in my retail stores but they don’t carry any. But retail is super tough, bad quality control from Panini too.

I love collecting basketball but absolutely can not bring myself to buy anymore basketball blasters. Just not worth it. Maybe if they went do to $10 I’d be a buyer, but as you said it’s just a terrible product for the most part. Way too difficult to hit anything of value.
