@ IKR.. I’m 46, I don’t ever remember Pippen’s name being mentioned for MVP in 96. They kept bringing up 1994, but never mentioned what happened the following season. In 95 before Jordan came back. Pippen wanted to get traded, throwing chairs onto the court, & Chicago were the sixth seed in jeopardy of missing the playoffs. I guess they forgot

MJ was livid at Pippen at half-time for allowing me to go off. He told Scottie he would guard me in the second half. A half where I just scored 4 points. He was that competitive on defense.” And Ron Artest aka Metta wanted to be "like Mike" not Pippen defensively. He said “MJ’s defense was incredible. When I was younger I said I wanted to play defense like him. I aspired to be like him defensively.”
