Yo Lucy, i made an analysis on excel for the group C and D about roles and i found out that it's not that important to have the highest big activation. The most important is that the penalty is at a minimun, i.e. big + small activation close to 100% in some roles, it was better to put a big activation of 11% than a 35% just because there rarely was a penalty in that case. Thanks to that i had 97 points just for roles, instead of ~75 i would have other wise. That could help to resolve siuhy's role. With that logic, noob is a very good role for him
sheesh whipping out the spreadsheet! makes sense, usually roughly how I'd be comparing roles in my head anyway - what I don't like about noob is that I don't want to be punished by a player doing well, but I suppose it'd make up for it with player points. great stuff!

I ended up #209 for group c & d, the trio of elige b1t and torzsi alongside siuhy did amazing, aleksib was also there, for these playoffs ive really struggled picking my team, but ultimately settled for a safe team with brollan, jame, rain, siuhy and br0, i really found myself trying to avoid that bottom part of the bracket, what a bloodbath!
Hey Lucy. Great to see another Fantasy video by you. I went with xertioN, Siuhy, EliGe, b1t, and Aleksib in group C&D and I did really well. For the playoffs I have Br0, Stavn, Nexa, Siuhy, and xertioN. I still have 3k and I'm wondering whether I should upgrade Stavn to Staehr or pick Jabbi over Stavn and upgrade Nexa to hunter. Can't decide which Astralis player to pair with br0 Also want to add that people picking BIG to beat G2 haven't really dissected BIG's run in the groups. They beat Pera and Heroic to get to playoffs and Heroic lost to Monte after that so their isn't that impressive. BIG hasn't been looking good online either before this event so I wouldn't bet on them to beat G2.
well done! that's an interesting one, i do feel hunter is a big upgrade over nexa especially with his (brief) return to form he has shown. stavn is better than staehr, and jabbi is closer to stavn than staehr. the role changes buffed stabbi a lot, so staehr is overpriced! you're spot on about big/g2. g2 will make it to the mouz game, but that's where i think they falter
going siuhy brollan/apex flameZ and JT for my draft. I think vitality is in great form taking time off after the major and could potentially just fully win it all. I really wanna go apex, zywoo, double G2 and maybe JT for the 5th slot but its such a risky draft to even consider

Hey Lucy! I ended at 6%, my Volt pick for 190k turned into 75 points, just 3 points less than jL for 215k... 😂 Now I'm top 200 overall in the season! For this game, I of course drafted a 2-2-1, but I have MOUZ & Faze in the finals. The biggest question for me is if Faze can beat Vitality, and whoever wins that match, I have that team winning the event. I don't believe in Astralis at all, I doubt device has the tactical depth just yet, and I think stavn's going to ghost just like he always does in playoffs. The pressure's going to do him in. And I personally don't want them to succeed either, screw Astralis basically hahaha. So here's my team: - rain - ropz - brollan - siuhy - norbert
very nice! volt was a sleeper pick well done. this is a good team, and honestly if faze didn't have such a terrifying bracket i'd have gone something very similar. ropz rain is such a strong duo for the price point. you're probably right on the depth of devve's calling. I wonder how much people disliking the org has them avoiding them in fantasy.... could work out well for me :D

I think that getting past VP is the hard part for mongolz and if they do it (or GL does it for them), they could realistically make the final, especially as I think G2 will beat mouz, because it was close in Chengdu and m0nesy was literally the only player who did well. Hunter and/or Niko showing up will be enough to get them across the finish line I reckon. Then just 2-0 Ji Tu again and they're in. Given that all that is unlikely to happen in reality, I was also considering a spinx/mezii/hunter/hooxi/fame draft, but at the end of the day the pricing for Vitality is just too much. And also the Mongolz are fun and I love having fun.
having fun is the best mantra 🙏 I rate this a lot, mongolz look great at the moment and have good historical matchups against most of the teams on their side of the bracket. i want to see it happen!
I just made a team right now, if you want to pick jimpphat you can go jimmy-siuhy-stavn-jabbi-nafany or you can go like JT and br0 but I'd definitely take stavn and nafany with eco friendly role, hope it helps if you were looking for a team with jimpphat
niko/hunter/siuhy/norbert/electronic? My thinking is that one should put more stock into star players from teams in ro16, because they could farm for several matches straight. Not so sure though xD
electronic is a gamble as jame performed better in groups + does better with his KAST so his rating overall is normally v good. but yeah that's normally the strat for playoff runs for maximum points!
Picked up 25 points across the two groups, I'll take that. Don't love my team for this event, going n0rb-mezii-siuhy-Jame-torzsi. Good roles at least, was looking to go brollan instead of torzsi to free up $5k but then that $5k didn't really have any uses.

I really worked for hour's to build it but am feeling really confident about Faze. So I got Frozen and Rain. I don't think VP is going to the grand final but they can farm a few games (I think they will win against COL) so I got Flit and Norbert. Sorry for FlyQuest but nafany and betboom will win and put up a good fight against liquid. In short form: Flit and Frozen will farm me the point's, Norbert and rain will do okay'ish and nafany will give a few minus points😅

Is it a good idea to have so many of your players missing multiple potential big point scoring rounds? My first draft is hunter, hooxi, jabbi, flameZ and fame. Even if you get 4 players in the final you'll have missed so many points
finals has bo5 multiplier which helps, but yeah it's risky. i just didn't have enough faith in g2 - they were my deep run team. faze too hard a bracket, and vp too shaky also
This playoff format is very entertaining, but it's also one of my least favorite formats when it comes to choosing a fantasy team. I'm doing a bit of an unconventional pick here lol. My team is Brollan, siuhy, rain, JT, device. My hope is that I get all four of the top 4 which would guarantee at least 2 players in the grand final no matter how it goes. I don't really have anything to play for other as I'm 540th overall, so I'm just having a bit of fun with something other than a 2-2-1 team.
I actually kinda like it for fantasy just because you do get a lot of choices, I hate it when you're forced into the same teams as everyone else! not far off my draft really :) GL!

I like the players you just face the issue of 4 on one side of the bracket. but I guess much higher chance of at least some making the finals!
