Awesome, they'd conducted a 4K live broadcast by lauching an unmanned satellite submarine 1 hour before the head submarine to take photos in between the two vessels at the trench bottom.
The title said "to Set". It planned to set the new record. As far as I knew, the mission exercised 4 dives, and didn't find a deeper sea bed to set a new record.
The name of the trench is called Challenger deep after the British navy ship HMS Challenger surveyed that area in the 1870’s. They used a hand drawn weighted line to measure the depth , can you image the weight of the line being hauled up.
Hahaha! If this was a Western expedition you'd be cheering and congratulating without even asking for proof. China was ALWAYS ahead of everybody in the world in technology, they are pretty much the oldest civilization on Earth. But it's China, so you can't believe they can achieve (or surpass) the same things as the Western civilazation. Well... buckle up, boy, 'cause this people are on the up again.
Congrats to all the scientist and engineers, to explore in deep sea and in space. This is amazing!
Many congratulations
Bravo!!! Any country that does science well has my undying respect.
Many jealous comments here. But I still have to say is CHINA IS SO AWESOME. 👍✌

Hold on, why it says here its new world record and in my country they say it was few meters to set new record?

Good job China
This is great but not a world record
This was done decades ago and a private citizen can buy one from Triton for about $20 mil with a premium sound system and custom paint job.
Looking for something boys?👽
Uhh... They are 60 years late?
Errr. You started 60 years ago and still lost to someone new? What a shame 😂

Submerssable dived to 10,916 metres back in 1960. Jacques Cousteau at the helm.
