This music and Virgil's face makes me cry every time. A great movie.
Sooo many memories, thanks for posting! :D
Just love this movie
miss that movie have to love for it and that other one Manhattan project
I was so saddened over Goliath and BlueBeard. Goofy was funny as hell. Virgil, despite his limits, was a great protagonist. Always felt this was a way underrated film.
Horner also used the Chimp Rumble music in his score for Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
Severely underrated movie.
There's one composition that Horner uses frequently. Its recently been featured in Avatar and previously Enemy at the gates. I cant get it out of my head, now i realize i first heard it on this haha.
Enemy at the gates, I know what you mean for sure,thats what I thought aswell..
Jesus that radiation machine coming up out of the floor scared the shit out of me. With the piano music and flutes
Devastated to have lost this genius...
@WastedPo Yeah, it was Goliath. He was the toughest, meanest chimp of the lot, but ur heart just broke when the reactor went off cuz u knew he was gonna die. It's moment's like this when I wish I hadn't burned out the power supply of my VCR (hehe, taped it of cable when it came out. Gotta love Cinemax :P)
From 05:45 even I can't hold hold my tears back.
Trantum666 I cry throughout the entire movie. I cried when I was 7 watching it for the first time and continue to cry today.....
Virgil was my favorite since he was the leader and flew the plane at the end of the movie
Yeah definitely one of the scariest movies I've seen
merci j'adoooooooooooore
@c2a4r8l2, you're welcome. Since I don't post entire soundtracks, I guess it was a happy coincidence I posted the one track from the movie you were were looking for.
You can't find this soundtrack anywhere. >.< Even eBay's got nothing.
Can you upload the whole movie?
This is James Horner
@angiegalli622, thanks for the nice words. I too took note of the music to this film when they'd play it on cable back in the day. I was especially struck by the quieter moments (moreso than the action parts) such as the bittersweet woodwinds when that one chimp (was it Goliath?) was exposed to deadly doses of radiation and all Broderick could offer him was a look at a cigarette through the protective glass. Hm, maybe I should've uploaded that track.
@psychopathtoine horner's a genius!
@adam2504
Google "James Horner danger motif"
@c2a4r8l2 sounds like batteries not included mixed with aliens!
another rip off from James Horner
Thank you for this music Mr. Horner. The movies and experiences I grew up with in the 80s and early 90s have contributed considerably to the good there is in me in the present day.
