MORE WEREWOLVES, PLEASE! Great review and can’t wait to get this one in hand. Like others, I hope Lemax embraces the werewolf theme as much as some of the others. While I love my witches and vampires, it’s the werewolves that have my heart. :D thank you Doug for giving me my Spookytown fix with these videos!
I’m sure this piece will become one of the highly sought after classics after this year. The hand animations are super cool and unique, and I hope Lemax keeps trying to do things like that- like possibly small windows opening and closing on a haunted house, etc. Great video as always!
FIRST !!!!!!!!!! Another Phenomenal video! You truly are the Godfather of all things Spooky Town !!!! Would love to see which you prefer btw this and Department 56 Silver Bullet Train Car !!!!
Oh, wow...I missed the arms on the side as well. This thing has has a lot going on, but the size helps it not be too "busy". Very retro inspired, very cool!
I first told my self I am only getting the one trick or treat house this year, but I don't know how I can resist this. I have no room left in my general area, but I may sell one and put this one in. I love werewolfs(even made a full length werewolf movie in college) and all the motion features are so cool!!!!
Great review, Doug. This piece is scary in more ways than one. All that animation! But I love it. I wish they had embraced the werewolf theme as much as the vampire, witches, and Frankenstein. But maybe they're making up for lost time. I hope so.
This building is so much fun! I LOVE the triple-changing billboard. Not a fan of the wolf popping up and down, like he's in a popcorn maker, but the other animations are cool. I like the 50s swingy, jazzy music too. 🧡
Doug, what are your thoughts on this one vs the Graveside Diner? Graveside Diner is my unicorn and I’m still searching for it, but I’m not sure if I should give up the search and buy this one instead
I've been waiting for this video. I pre-ordered this piece, but yet to receive it. Also, I'd there any chance for the scene setters to be available in a 6ft option sometime in the future?
Hey Lee, I'm planning for the summer release of a fall Scene Setter which will be the 48" size, however I've had a couple requests for a large format one. I can see what the maximum size of material sheet is from my production company as that would tell me what my maximum dimensions would be. I could then possibly do a very limited super size run!
@Spooky Villages nice. I'd definitely be interested in a larger style backer. I typically use a white folding table for my village and so the larger would be perfect in my case. I'll keep a look out on your channels. Thank you
I have the complete collection of 'Creepy Hallow' which I love. As far as I know they stopped making pieces years ago so I supplement my village with dept 56 and others. We don't see much in the way of collectables where I live so I am great full for your reviews.
i do like lemax's newer peices but they should bring back they older spooky town places and call them some thing like "spooky town resurrected" or "spooky town Retro" and dring back stuff like madams ashberry's house of wax, Dr. Tingle's Laboratory, Dr. Stretch N. Pull's Torture Factory (make the blade plastic for saftey reasons) things like that
I'm surprised that you didn't really look at what was happening with the arms. It's not someone being drugged under, if you look closer it's two arms, the left arm is bare & on the right arm it has changed in 2 a wolf. How cool is that!!! As beautiful as this piece is it's so true that the devil is always in the details 4 sure!
Hey Alex, the only time this makes noise is a single small click after a full animation cycle completes (assuming it's something internally resetting from a spring). The Gourd was a pretty notoriously loud piece!
It sucks that I can’t find this particular piece anywhere(well…not exactly. I did find it but at a RIDICULOUS PRICE)why do I get the feeling that is the Hollow graves manor all over again(another one that can’t seem to find…as if it had never existed…)
I know that next year dealers will still be able to get this piece, or at least I'm pretty sure. It's rare Lemax is one and done. I do think that it will eventually be HIGHLY collectible though, as it's a cool building with a more unique theme, and it wasn't at Michaels. Buildings like this usually are hard to find later
Just got mine and was shocked to see it was a plastic base! For $180 price tag it’s just a bit upsetting they would choose that route. However I love all the animations and overall piece itself
Hi Doug, i gotta ask ya, is Lemax lacking back on it's staff and or quality of the items, last yr i got 3 that i ordered from Gift Spice and they were broken, and this yr i ordered the Ballet one and the music doesn't work & the movement is stuck, this so heartbreaking being that i can't wait to buy every yr, so let me know what ya think, Thx so much for putting up the vids
Bummer Kitty, sorry to hear that. It can be a crapshoot due to the overseas and then domestic shipping, but getting 3 broken pieces in succession is rough! Sorry!
At 3:50 one arm is human and the other is a werewolf!

Absolutely
I feel like the specialty themed buildings are always super desirable with collectors eventually!

Well, I HAVE to get this one!!! Thanks for the detailed tour of this piece -- very well done.
Excellent piece; great video Doug!
I wonder if the Werewolf that pop up cast a shadow on wall behind it with light in the front was plan thing or just happen that way !
Oh, wow...I missed the arms on the side as well. This thing has has a lot going on, but the size helps it not be too "busy". Very retro inspired, very cool!
Easy to miss the arms on the side!

I hope you nab one of these, great to hear from you Randy!
AWESOME AWESOME PIECE!!!!! One of my favorites this year. This will sell fast.
Awesome! Cool review.

I am hoping in the coming years that they will start to do more werewolves, given it's a theme thats pretty ripe for going into!
I wanna get back into buy spooky towns but I don't have much space.
Screw it I have to get this piece holy crap.
This werewolf diner has so many cool details. I'm more into creepy but I think it has great animation and lighting and theming.
This is so stinking cute. I hope I can get this this year.
Just waiting on it...😊

Thanks Lorena, I'm glad the videos help you decide what to cherry pick for your village when adding buildings!
Agreed!!

Hey Doug! Had a question, does the animation make any noise? Always worried after getting the gourd pub and grill which is annoyingly loud lol. 🎃👻🎃

Not a fan of the soundtrack like the animation cept the werewolf that pops up in the bubble thing not sure what that is, over all nice theming
Love this piece but at $179, even with the 25% off code, I can't justify the cost. ☹️
This is on my list to get this year! My spooky town has a neighboring suburb: Witches Mountain. It might get another suburb this year… 😂
Can’t find it under $200
Anyone get this and it clicks?
