It makes me happy to see you two putting so much time and energy into training your dogs. People need to understand a dog like a Cane Corso unless it's going to live it's entire life in your backyard/house as a pure guard dog with ZERO chance of escape this is the kind of time a person or person(s) must put in imo. You're great dog owners and you have to be when you commit to dog like a Corso. To me a Corso is like a stronger Rottweiler but more athletic like a pitbull. This is why anytime you see a Corso fight either one the Corso puts em down usually pretty quick. I don't think people understand how powerful and strong some dogs are. I didn't until I got bit by a full grown male Rottweiler. Unbelievable power. A Corso could literally eat you.
They’re working with a lot more bite force than Rotties. They’re for sure the biggest baddest dog out there that I can think of for protection work. You want to have the most intimidating dog on the block, this one’s it. But they’re also really good sweet boys too, raised right they make great loving companions.

I was wondering if JJ was going to start showing the guarding instincts. 😊 Adopted my boy in May 2019 (age 1 or 2 years old - rescue) and for the first year of the pandemic he was good with the kids in the neighborhood. But then during the second year (around 3 years old) , he started barking at some of the kids. It's like something just clicks in them? You have such well behaved dogs! it's inspiring. ❤
I had the same problem, my Corso due to COVID, I was not able to socialize him. His mellowed down a lot but I’m still very careful.😅😅
My Corso, Tex (he's just a couple months younger than Justice) did his first public growl and bark when someone was staring at him too.
I think mine is broken he did that at like 5 months old lol

I have a family member that has a Cane Corso as my "grand pup" and he would sit on my feet as a 3 month old. Very protective dogs!

My Corso at almost 7 months does not love everyone lol. I continue to socialize and train and he’s getting better. It’s funny they have bad days just like people lol.
So true, My Corso was very nice to everyone. She slowly started getting stand offish with strangers and liked to bark at them around 1 and a half years. She warms up after 5 minutes, but I had to work a lot on greeting new people.

Great insight on them changing as they age. I dm’ed you on IG asking this exact thing. My 2 yr old is becoming WAY more protective especially towards other dogs. Gotta figure it out! But great content as usual.
I love these dogs and I love these videos.
In guardian breeds you can pick up on certain early guardian behaviors. Especially in a 2 dog situation with a fully grown individual and a puppy growing up. Some of it ive seen kick on at 2 months and be useful indicators for future personality changes. My last rescues puppy was an example. My current corso puppy is starting to display a few small guardian instinct behaviors unknowingly at 4 months more then she did earlier on. Alot of it is also play. Why some breeds like to rough house alot. They can self develop a small amount of natural fight drive. Which is needed in protection situations.
It's getting harder to tell them apart on camera Justice is growing so much! Now I look for the longer tail to tell who's, who!! 😂😂

Oh yeah, my 5 year old keeps an eye on every person we encounter on the street till they are at a good distance.
I love your boys so much. I know what you mean about the difficulty of telling them apart, my 6 month old Great Dane puppy is 60kg/132lb, he’s now the same height as my 16 month old girl. He’s just started guarding like Joey, someone walks past my home and he tells them ferociously that they aren’t welcome and sounds like a big boy now. Get him out in public and he’s the sweetest soul, he will become a therapy dog like my other dogs.

If you happen to see this Jason, what daycare do you use? Im in the area and my boy loves daycare, but the longest I could find any place to keep letting him come without him getting neutered is 6 or 7 months. I feel bad bc he absolutely loved it and got so much play energy out.
I have to say mall walking also tire me very much, much more then a 5 mile walk outside....😂😂😂

I have a pit mix and he has changed tremendously from when I got him at 6 months he is now 2 years old. He's going to summer camp next week to help with his reactivness at home. I try and show him Bruce Wayne so he can have a role model but wants no part of it lol.

My corso might have bitten that old lady. He doesn't allow strangers to touch him im working on that. Hes fine out in publicnno barking no growling but definitely no touching yet. Hes 3 years old and this is a new behavior that showed up.
Having a black coat will make them more prone to overheating.
